This hotel is slightly out of town, but only a 10 minute walk on a flat street. The hotel itself is very welcoming and spacious. The bar downstairs does a lovely selection of items for lunch or dinner, but the buffet breakfast is the highlight. There is ample selection to fill you up to your around during your stay. We drive directly out of this hotel onto the ring of Kerry which is ideal as it is right on the road. Fabulous drive indeed! If you choose to take this drive I highly recommend going anti-clockwise as the tour buses go clockwise and you don't want to get stuck behind them! The hotel is the perfect respite to return after a day of touring and my kids made good use of the indoor pool at the end of each day to wind down and relax!
. Stayed for one night , a Sunday . We are in the bar which was nice apart from the bread and butter pudding which was the worst I ever had . The fish and chips were delicious as was the curry . Although we were staying in the hotel bizarrely we couldn't put the meal on the bill but it wasn't a huge inconvenience. The rooms are nice , everything clean . The next morning at breakfast I cut into a sausage and it was unmistakably not fresh and neither was the fruit yogurt which tasted very gone off . The scones were stale so perhaps the kitchen need to check the dates on their products more carefully .
Beds are comfortable, rooms are a good size, but a tad shabby, and there is no way of storing your stuff, except leaving it in your luggage ! Breakfast is OK and good value (5 euros per day), and the guys in charge provide efficient and friendly service. As regards location, it takes quite a few minutes to walk to Killarney centre. My special tip to the management : the restaurant staff could provide the receptionists with a tuition in cheerfulness, it would make a huge difference especially when it comes to checking in and checking out...
This is very good hotel. It is spacious and only few of the hotels that have 2 doubles. Location is very very convenient, have their own parking. It is only few meters away from Killarney brewery and town center. It is easily accessible from high way and Ring of Kerry. Their breakfast is good and clean place.
We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is nice. Rooms are good. Dinner in the restarant is OK. We also had dinner in the pub, and here some of our group experienced slow and confused service (They compensated by making the dinner free).
We drove from Dublin to Killarney. It was such a relief to reach the hotel after such a long drive. The hotel is nice with ample parking space. Hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. Location of this hotel is good. It's on the main road. Ours was a short one day stay. The breakfast buffet is also ok.
We stayed on a 3 night bed and breakfast and 2 dinner package. This was excellent value for 2 adults and 3 children. Dinners were very good especially the steak for a small supplement of 5euro. The buffet style breakfast was excellent with a great variation to suit all. One downfall of the breakfast was you had to order what type of eggs you wanted. On one particular morning I had asked for fried and my wife asked for poached - both didn't come out until we had finished our breakfast.... too slow. The double bedroom we had was spacious but to be honest it was quite dated and tired looking. The rooms and corridors etc could do with a bit of a facelift, a lick of paint and a good deep clean to get rid of cobwebs would be a good start. Around the hotel lobby and the Saddlers bar was nice and relaxed. The staff were pleasant and very welcoming. Killarney town itself was only a 10-15 minute dander, so very close to all the bars and restaurants. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Ireland. 50 euro of my next stay was a nice touch!!
We have stayed in this hotel twice. The family room is very large and clean and our family of 6 was very comfortable. The barman is great and we had drinks twice in the pub, both nights had music. We walked into town both days and it takes 15 min. Car park on site. Kids used the pool. We will always stay here when visiting Killarney. Excellent breakfast too.
Family friendly hotel, very pleasant staff, busy bar with entertainment. Good swimming pool and small pool for toddlers. Bedrooms are a good size. Only a short walk from the town centre. Plenty of parking.
We stayed for two nights in a double room. Everything was as expected. Comfortable beds, nice room amenities to include a hair dryer, ensuite, electric tea kettle and television. Breakfast included was very good as well with several options for appetites large and small. There were several tour groups staying here at the same time. Note that the pool does not stay open late in case you want a late night swim. Downtown area is very walkable from this hotel. No need to hire a car. All in all an enjoyable stay.
