The room is tiny!!!!!!!!!!! Two beds in one room is like the limit. The staff is not that nice... Not recommended..

Perfect place to stay for a couple nights party and surf in jaco. Great free breakfast too.

The hotel is good. They had a bunch of nice rooms. They're a little bit closer and sometimes you could hear some noises from the next door. The rooms is small but is very clean. Each room have a small refrigerator, coffee maker, table and other stuff that could helps in your reservation. The pool is small but is nice. Is near of the beach and the main street of Jaco. The bad part is the hotel don't have a personal parking spot, but in front exists one (for $20 per day). All the personal are excellent persons.

The hotel feels cramped in every respect. The room we stayed in was dark. The swimming pool is small, and enclosed, and sees very little or no sunlight. The walk to the beach is just long enough to be a nuisance. We ended up moving to another hotel just down the road, on the beach, with a beautiful beach bar, swimming pool, and beachfront, and all this for only $20 more per night. I would not recommend The Poseidon Hotel as a good choice to stay in Jaco.

Great location, in the center of everything. 1/2 block from beach or strip. Nothing fancy but nice and clean hotel. Didn't eat at the restaurant other than the free breakfast, which is a nice selection of tropical fruits, juice and coffee. Perfect starting meal for the heat there.

No parking, u have to pay separate 6 $ per night For parking, the inside rooms very deterirorated Not a quiet place, not a family hotel, but its a great Option for surfer duds, location is good, food is good except breakfast

The hotel staff and restaurant were excellent. I would be carefull ordering anything from the upstairs sports bar. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RECEIPTS showing that you paid your bill, I was charged twice for a dinner bill that I paid in cash and the bartender also charged it to my room. When I went to check out I had a food/drink bill for $43 that I had to pay even though I had not signed the bill charging it to my room. I will not return to this hotel.

The hotel is a smaller building a short walk to the beach and shops. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. The food at the restaurant is very good.

Ou room included two beds, a balcony, air conditioning, fridge, hot water and a safe. We couldn't really ask for much more at the price we paid. The pool was nice, never busy but mostly shaded from any sunlight. There's no ocean view but its less than two minutes to walk from the beach and it's right in the center of the main area of Jaco Beach. I suggest leaving your key at the front desk when you go out, they'll hold it for you so you don't need to worry about it. Breakfast every morning was fruit, juice and bread which was perfect for us. The bar/restaurant area upstairs was a wonderful place to sit in the evening, it's a beautiful view and they play football games! With only about 15 rooms we loved the atmosphere of this place. Highly recommended.

We booked ahead and paid in advance for 5 days - big mistake. Don't let "American owned and operated" fool you. Beds were very firm (hard), smoking everywhere (poolside, restaurant, in and out of rooms), toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months (hoping it was just rust), the final straw was some animal crawling in the ceiling or on the roof. Great location by the beach, but this area of Jaco is very reminiscent of Daytona Beach in full Spring Break swing. In the one night we stayed at Poseidon, we were approached 3 times within a block of the hotel by "weed or nose candy" dealers. This is not a relaxing Costa Rican beach area if that's what you are looking for. Learn from our $520 mistake - go on to Manuel Antonio and skip this place.

My best friend and I went on vacation to celebrate turning 30! We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Poseidon. Pros >> The room was cozy. >> Very close to the beach >> The food was GREAT. A lil expensive but worth the money. 2 for 1 at lunch. >> The staff was EXCELLENT. They were very helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange our daytime activities. Con >> Housekeeping didn't come to the room regularly. We had to go the front desk about it a few times. They apologized and said they were short-staffed.
