Location of our room was very disappointing! Dark and looking at wall! And luggage carts. We happen to get one of the very few that didn't get sunlight. The resort is very nice. The beach is very nice. Location of resort is centrally located. Walking distance to about everything!

Right on the beach, the resort is lovely a tad bit dated in the hallways but the rooms were updated spacious and beautiful. We had a 1 bedroom unit with 2 baths, there were 4 adults and we managed just fine. You can walk to lots of food options, we BBQ'd lots of them are sprinkled around the property to use. They have a list of ongoing activities, two big fires that they light everynight so you can be toasty and watch the sun set. OVer all it was great and would go back again.

Pros: 1. Highlight of this property is that it has its own beach. Excellent that you can have picnic or take out meals on tables and chairs and watch the shoreline. 2. Plenty of space on the property to eat outside and not feel crowded with your neighbors. 3. Great location to many South Lake Tahoe attractions like the salmon run streams (October), historical sites, casinos, bike and hiking nature trails, and tons of restaurants.. 4. Across the street from a Whole Foods grocery store and 0.5 mile from a Safeway so getting supplies is easy and fast. 5. Retro 1980's look. This could be a Pro or Con depending on your tastes. Although they have extensively remodeled the hotel over the years...like the bathrooms and furnishings....overall the facility has the 1980's look. Everything is operable...even the old pool table...but the age shows. Cons: 1. A few kitchen appliances are old and barely work...like the toaster ovens. Critical especially if you have a partial kitchen. 2. Many units have partial kitchens...I think full kitchens should be in every room especially in a ski resort area. Sometimes you can get snowed in.and need to cook more than toast and microwave tv dinners. The outdoor gas BBQ's are mandatory and helped a lot to supplement the partial kitchens 3. The internet many times get overloaded and times out especially at dinner time and early evening. I was told by hotel management that internet bandwidth at the Lake is poor. 4. The single beds are full. In this day and age, at least queen beds should be standard. OVERALL: The location is 5 stars. The units are just average, 3 stars. 4 stars overall.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit. One bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed and an accessible bathroom with lots of railings for the handicapped. The second bedroom had a very comfortable full bed with a very comfortable mattress and a full accessible bathroom. The kitchen is on the smaller side, no dishwasher or stove. Full size refrigerator and a roaster/broiler that cooked two good size steaks to perfection at one time. There are gas grills right outside in the courtyard. The kitchen also has another full size accessible bathroom. Short walk to the lake. Tennis courts and pool w/ sauna. I would definitely stay here again.

Oct '19 is our second visit to this property. Everything works, and this time we need the heater, and it works fine. We also tried the BBQ on this trip and the one I chose, also worked fine. Great beach, but NOT beach weather, the low tomorrow will be 22 F. I do recommend this place. Quiet, conveniently located, Safeway within walking distance. Free internet that has been fairly fast and reliable.

We love Tahoe Beach and Ski, convenient to shops, restaurants, easy to ride bike around, right on the beach. Tennis, ping pong, activities room, laundry facilities, great place. Nice pool with hot tub.

Furniture, bathrooms and kitchen are updated. Insulation is horrible. We were up by the front desk and could hear people walking by. People upstairs sounded like elephants. Kitchen amenities were severely lacking, knives could hardly cut. Mattress is very old and sagging on each side.

This is our 5th year to visit TBSC in September. We've always had good weather and enjoyed the resort immensely. We love the location and ease of walking/ride sharing in South Tahoe. We fly into Reno and take the South Tahoe Transporter. We enjoy the activity program, the beach (of course!), and usually the pool - but this year it didn't seem to be warm enough to enjoy - hot tubs were fine. There are plentiful places to enjoy a meal - it's handy to have the Pizza Hut on property! Looking forward to Whole Foods opening soon-right across the street! This was our first experience in a Studio instead of a one bedroom...we got used to it, but it is not preferred.

Tahoe Beach & Ski has a very relaxed small resort feel with big amenities and exclusiveness. They have their own private beach and owners who have cared to ensure this very relaxed feel. When you check in they know who you are and it does not have a feel like a corporation is running it. I believe Diamond Resort owns quite a few qround with the exception of Tahoe Beach and Ski, so that should tell you something. I hope this resort never changes into a corporate run location.

The resort was very nice. Service was better than most. Location was great. The resort is on the lake and within easy walking distance to restaurants and some shopping. Only downer was poorly organized road repair throughout area, not resort's fault. The beach, workout room, pool, and tennis court were excellent.
