Property is in a great location with passes to the nearby beach. Rooms are on a smaller side and our AC was not very efficient. Outdoor trash bins are not wildelife safe and we had raccoons tip them over and spill the trash in the early morning hours. Kids had plenty of activities available to them (pool, s’mores, bocce game, corn hole). Staff is hip, very friendly and accommodating.

I booked The Coachman based on a combination of price and reviews with some skepticism. The property is a nicely modern remodeled hotel that does a fantastic job of creating a community environment with activities planned to encourage socializing with other guests. The shared fire pits with nightly smores was great to meet others enjoying their vacation. There was a wine tasting one night which was great. The bar/dining area is a great convenient spot to get food and ask for recommendations on anything. Ben was a great help during our stay. We would book again.

Excellent location for concerts at the amphitheater, about a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the venue. I reserved a double queen deluxe room with a cute balcony with chairs.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and from the outside it’s a cute boutique hotel. The inside offers a cozy reception area with a bar and coffee plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner for purchase. There is a communal kitchen space to cook in the reception area too. The bed was comfy and the pillows just right, but the room was showing its wear much like the lobby. It is in need of some TLC. There were patches of the floor coming up from lack of grout, the walls need paint, and the shower head is in dire need of relacement. The lobby welcome mat needs a reface too. Not sure if new ownership, but they are working hard to fix the outside, hopefully the inside is next

The coachman had a cute common area to buy coffee, drinks, cocktails and sit by the fire pits/pool area. We stayed in the room with the large bath tub. It was a very nice feature.

Great property- good location, nice rooms, and friendly staff members. Also very dog friendly! Walking distance to lakeside beach (private beach) - stay included vouchers for the beach which are $30/per person. Note that lakeside beach is not dog friendly but Nevada beach, which is just a few mins drive away, has a small dog friendly area. The hotel has smores at night, coffee / drinks in the morning and all afternoon, and happy hour from 3-6pm (HH is $2 off wine, beer, or cocktails). The room had a lot of shelf space, and the furnishings in the bathroom were nice. We had a good view of the road from our room; it felt private and secluded. We didn’t hear any neighbors around or above us. Note that the property is several buildings , and they can be across the street. Parking was convenient right in front of our room / building. We were also in walking distance to heavenly village and did the van sickle bi-state hike. The staff members are so friendly and made the stay great! Thanks so much - we’ll be back!
