I walked into my room and immediately saw cockroaches scatter on a near by table. I turn around, walk back to the check in counter and politely ask for another room. I take a shower and want to relax in bed but when I pull the blanket down, I realize there is make up and a specific sort of bodily fluid on the sheets. Again I go down to the check in counter and politely explain and I am told room service will be down right away to change the sheets. An Indian couple arrive and are so pissed off. I show them the sheets and they act like it is nothing. They spend the next ten minutes talking in another language while nodding my direction. So very rude. Even my 7 year old knew they were talking poorly about us. Then we wake up and go to eat breakfast. Well... we try. I grab two bagels and both are rock hard, milk is sour and coffee tasted days old. To top it all off, the entire eating area was disgusting. Sticky floors, food on every table top etc. Apple juice and orange juice tasted disgusting as well. Almost like they were missing some of their ingredients to save money. Then, as we were leaving, we say "have a nice day" to the Indian man behind the desk and he says nothing. I wasn't even offered a discount or a free stay another time. I was charged full price. Overall... horrific stay. Keep in mind I have stayed at just about every type of hotel from dingy to 5 star in my 31 years of world travel. Never have I had such a disappointing and disgusting experience.
After reading some of the other reviews, I was skeptical, but my stay was just fine. We stopped while traveling, and the room was clean and the bed was as comfortable as any other comparable motel. Breakfast was also okay. I would stay here again.
First off Steven that works the front desk is wonderful! He was very pleasant and helpful. The owners should give him a raise. We had to stay there for a XC meet because all the other (good) hotels were sold out. We paid $65 for the room maybe a little high. Steven did put us in room 220 which was one of the "nicer" rooms. Bed and pillows are not comfortable at all. There was a huge bug on the ceiling. Our team stayed there as well and my son's discovered 2 cockroaches when he work up. Another room has exposed wiring. Will probably never stay here again. It was walking distant to 2 restaurants which was nice. The breakfast buffet was not good at all but we made due.
My husband and I travel for a living and stay at econo lodges almost everywhere we go for the value and the fact that most are pet friendly. The staff was friendly enough if you saw them but the room was awful. The carpet was ripped up in multiple places, the light fixtures were broken and affixed to the wall with tape, same for the outlet covers. The mattresses must have been original to the hotel as they were about as thin as a cracker. Very uncomfortable and the pillows were the same. They would have been better off replacing the mattresses instead of the tvs! One good point was that the breakfast was oddly one of the best, I guess you get one or the other! Bottom line - save your money on this one and keep on driving till the next one!
We stayed for 1 night only just passing thru to Utah. Upon check in the clerk was very nice. Once we walked into our room it was very musty and humid. Very outdated. The comforters and sheets looked like they haven't been replaced in years. The outlets were missing their covers, the lamps had grime on them, and the carpet was coming up from against the wall. Lots of bugs inside the room as well. The pictures they are advertising of their hotel are nothing what it actually looks like.
Stayed the night as a stop on a trip out west. Very friendly service, room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast could have been a little better, it was all carbs, but for the value, it was decent place.
Hotel is a dump, mold in bathroom and just overall musty smell. Stayed here because parking lot accommodated truck with trailer and it has an Applebee's next door. The Applebee's was scary bad too but it was 11pm and nothing else was open. Would have stayed at the Quality Inn but their parking lot does not wrap around.
My husband and I are moving across county and had car trouble. We stopped at the Econolodge for one night and ended up staying two. Steve at the desk was wonderful, he helped us with whatever we needed. The rest of the staff were always smiling and friendly. Thanks for everything, you guys made an otherwise bad trip a whole lot better.
Okay what can I start with....walk into the room and it has a nasty musky smell, the walls had dirt and grime all over them. Mold every where !! Inside the lamp shade was something smeared with mild growing inside !! So nasty!! The bathroom was disgusting had mold all over the shower mat. As I look at the bathroom even more I see a ROACH!! A German cockroach in the bathroom !! Not to mention the roaches crawling around the TV and on the walls....Was too scared to pull the sheets back...holes in the walls ...stains all over the walls ...this room was ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING !! Would never ever recommend this to anyone !!
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the lobby was nice. the rooms were very clean, needs new sheets , the hallways smelled very musky but the room did not. overall for the price, its a very comfortable place to stay. great location, just off the highway.
