Our department stays at this inn when we come down to the state fire academy. The rooms are really nice and usually clean. The lobby area is cozy, with great breakfast. My only suggestion is that some of the appliances in the rooms should be upgraded. Overall a nice place to stay.
The hotel was great in a nice area outlet mall only a few miles away and they had a good breakfast and the beds were comfortable we had two rooms will definitely stay again when in the area because the price was good for a weekend stay.
Quick over night stay. Descent room that served the purpose. Convenient location. Easy to check in. Room was clean and was the typical room. Plenty of parking. The price was economical and the front desk check-in was swift.
We usually try to stay in Comfort Inns - we love the normally clean and crisp lodgings and the breakfast. This one, however is a bit rough around the edges. Our welcome was cool - the gentleman behind the desk wouldn't even return our smiles when we tried to make small talk - he was all business. Our first impression of our room was that it was DAMP - really really damp. We adjusted the a/c thinking it was just too warm - but it never did dry out. It was simply an poorly functioning a/c with little to no dehumidification. The floor always felt "wet". The linens were clean, the bathroom fine - although there was no toilet paper on the rolls - and we saw other folks asking for it as well (I wonder if the housekeepers forgot???) The breakfast was the standard selection and good. Overall, just a bit disappointed and still trying to dry out. :/
I'm only writing this review to maybe help owners see it from customers view. It just really needs a good cleaning in breakfast area. The same trash was there from night before which was full. The juice machine wasn't draining so guessing it was stopped up. The lemon water was very good but I really think it never got changed from night before also. Because it was warm at breakfast. Please replace the sheets. We were on 2 nd floor and our room as well as another couples room sheets were so worn it had the little knotty things all over. I think the owners were there this morning and she was so very polite. The lobby area was very nice and up to date. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't revisit hotel. But I do think it has great potential!!
I stayed overnight here while traveling south through Mississippi on I-55. This hotel is on I-20 but only about 2 miles from the intersection with I-55 so my detour was insignificant. As a Choice Privileges member, I was able to use some of my accumulated points to stay here for free. Even if I had to pay full price my review would be the same. This is a very good quality hotel. The room, including the bathroom, was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable. There was no noise. Breakfast included hot items and was tasty. The eating area and lobby are attractive. I would definitely stay here again, even if I didn't have enough points for a free night.
The hotel appears to be struggling. The wear of time was apparent, 3 flag poles & no flags flying, no air conditioning in the upper floor hallways( hot & smelled stale) the furniture was tattered. The electrical outlet next to the mattress was not attached to the wall, a bit scary.
Bed was so comfortable, convenient location, very clean. We stayed one night only and we're happy with the stay. Breakfast was alright, we expected scrambled eggs and got flat fried egg instead, but it was just right to make a biscuit sandwich. Staff was polite.
This is one of four Comfort properties in the Jackson MS area. We chose this one because we were traveling west on I 20 and it was the first one we came to. The GPS took us right to the hotel when we entered the address. Note, the hotel, visible from the street, is behind an Econolodge whose parking lot you have to drive through to get to this hotel. The lobby made a good first impression and check in was friendly and quick. We were on the first floor near the lobby. The hotel was quiet throughout our stay. The room was clean and oder-free. King bed, desk w/chair, mini-fridge, tv, clean standard bathroom, free wifi no password. Parking outside our window with exit door close. A number of fast food restaurants and three or so chain restaurants close. None appealed to us and we didn't feel like driving further to seek other options. We ordered Arby's to go from across the road and ate in the room. Large breakfast area with standard options. Coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, toast, jellies. The attendant was prompt and efficient in keeping the breakfast items stocked and the area neat. The large windows of the breakfast area overlooked the outdoor pool. The pool was covered with a canvas tarp for winter. The tarp sagged and was full of rainwater and leaves. Since this is what visitors see while eating breakfast, it would make a better impression if the canvas cover were kept clean. When we first entered our room we noted the toilet had not been flushed nor the wastebasket emptied. We called the front desk and notified the manager who apologized. On checkout they took $28 off the bill without being asked for our "inconvenience". We felt this was generous. Summary, a clean, practical place to stay with easy access on and off I 20, and good breakfast. A low traffic area with a number of options to eat close.
We are Choice Privileges members and used some points to stay here one night. Perfect location as it is easy off and on I-20 surrounded by tons of places to eat, most within walking distance. Huge breakfast area, clean rooms that are quite spacious, adequate parking, easy check-in. Everything seems in great condition and the rooms, beds and bathroom were all clean and comfortable. No fitness center which would have been nice. Standard hot and cold items breakfast. Good value for your travel dollar here at this facility. Free internet and a PC-printer in the lobby that is okay but very slow.
