We booked a King Suite with Whirlpool Tub. We checked pictures and reviews from the hotel website, trip advisor, and finally booked at Booking.com. We paid well over the standard room rate for what looked like a very nice suite ($240+). Well, we got to the room and assumed it was just a mistake. The room was not a suite -- smaller than a standard hotel room and not nice in any way. The only difference was a junky old bathtub with jets in the bathroom. I nicely asked the desk clerk if there had been a mistake. I was told "no," this was the correct room, and they blamed the 3rd party booking site. Terrible!
I visited end of March during the renovation. The construcition trucks were taking up parking spots and I had to park my car at a nearby hotel and walk in the rain. Needless to say, I wasnt pleased. I did make it to my room and am happy to report it was one that was recently renovated. The room itself was comfortable and seemed to be clean. The Ritz it is not but for a quick night it was fine. The hotel's proximity to the airport and interstate make it very convenient and there are a few restaurants close by for convenience. They are building a brand new Embassy Suites directly across the street. Once it opens I would stay across the street.
I had originally had a different hotel booked for my 1 night stay via Hotwire where they pick a hotel for you for a cheap price. After checking in to this hotel and having a terrible experience, I decided to stay elsewhere and booked the Hampton Inn Indianapolis-SW/Plainfield. My experience was completely transformed and I was VERY happy with my new hotel. Staff (Tom) was amazing. I didn't know my HHonors number when I called to book my room and when I checked in, he had actually found my profile and linked my number to my reservation. The room was clean, bed comfortable and everything smelled great. What a great way to end my night! Thanks for a terrific stay!!
We called to get a reservation. The quoted price was $169, which is a lot higher than we have ever paid before. The Desk Clerk was very unprofessional. They said they could not the take the AAA discount. We called a different Hampton Inn. They asked for and accepted the AAA discount for the same night. We have stayed at this Hampton Inn multiple times before and this is the first time we have had any issues. We will NEVER stay at the Plainfield Hampton Inn again.
We stayed here for two nights to meet friends for a weekend getaway. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was super friendly and helpful! The breakfast had lots of choices. We will look forward to visiting again!
Great stay - only complaint is the bathtub is horribly uncomfortable to stand in. The sides slope in a way that there is no standing flat. Great experience otherwise - a little pricey. Staff was friendly.
Arrived later in the evening. Check in was quick and efficient. Rooms were very clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The pool area was very nice. The paintings on the bottom of pool are a nice touch. Breakfast was good and had the usual offerings. I was told they are renovating the third floor but did not hear or notice any signs of this during my stay!
This Hampton location is conveniently located by I-70, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. As rooms go they are slightly dated and average with overly firm beds and low shower pressure. Still a decent value for the money.
I can't say enough good about this hotel. I was in Plainfield for 9 days and spent 6 nights here. I found the breakfast to be stellar and the coffee was great. The indoor pool looked inviting but I did not bring my swimsuit. Also the gym was respectable. The hotel was super clean and as s women alone, I felt extremely safe there.
Typical excellent Hampton Inn, with the benefit of being located near lots of restaurants. Pleasant room with lots of light, and comfortable bed and chairs. Breakfast room and lobby were large and attractive. Staff was pleasant. Easy access to highway, as well.
