So surprised to find that the Hampton Inn in this small town would become our favorite of all the properties where we have stayed--and we have stayed at Hamptons throughout the US! The hotel itself meets all of our standard expectations for a Hampton Inn property, but it is the people who work here who make our frequent stays memorable. The entire staff go the extra mile to make us feel welcome and sincerely appreciated as a return guest. They serve cookies every night of the week. have an ice cream sundaes party in the lobby on weekend nights, and leave a hand written welcome note in our room (often with a special surprise in the refrigerator). Everyone who works at the hotel--from the Breakfast staff to the person mopping the floor--stops to talk to us and to wish us a good stay. The Management of this property is certainly doing something right by instilling such exemplary customer service skills in all the staff.

Need to update the room. No USB plug ins at the desk or at the bedside table. The electrical plug ins on the lamp didn't work so we were limited as to where we could charge our devices. Low battery in the thermostat made for a hot night's sleep! Not much water pressure from the shower head. Nice clean rooms. Great staff. 24 hour fresh fruit available in the lobby. Overall a nice hotel but there were no USB ports on the desk or next to the bed. In this day & time, people have to have a charging plugs. Real eggs and decent bacon would've been nice but the pressed fruit juice was awesome.

This was an excellent hotel stay. The room was comfortable. The lobby was nice and very cheerful and the breakfast was excellent! We would stay there again! There is absolutely nothing negative to say!

The hotel was fairly clean, except for carpeting, and the beds were very comfortable. My only issue was with the breakfast. I had been enjoying the smoothies for breakfast every morning on our two week road trip. At each location these Smoothies were in ice. At this hotel they were just sitting out which should have clued me in. I noticed the smoothie was not really cold but, stupidly, I drank it anyway. I had a extreme bout of Diarrhea afterwards all that morning which is the pits when you're traveling. My husband had the same breakfast without the smoothie and he was fine. The staff are very helpful and courteous........just pass up on the smoothies.

We were in town for a cross country meet our team stayed in the Hampton. Completely satisfied with the overall experience. Would recommend the facility and definitely will stay again when there is another meet nearby

I have to admit that I really like Hampton Inns, but rarely find a perfect one. THIS one was darn near perfect. I chose this one because it was on the route we were traveling and the least expensive Hampton around, base price under $100. I can’t say enough good things about this property. The facility is attractive, well-decorated and furnished, and CLEAN. The people at the desk were helpful, efficient, and courteous. Check-in was a breeze. We were given a nice king bed room tucked into the corner of this L-shaped building. The layout was rather unusual, due to its location, no doubt, but I really liked it. The usual microwave and fridge were tucked into cabinets along the side of the room, with a great countertop and a sink, almost like a wet bar. All of the cabinets were empty, but spotless. If you need storage, this room (217) has it. The AC was perfectly cold. The bed was comfy. There were plenty of pillows. The room also had a desk, large TV, easy chair, and luggage bench. The bathroom was well-appointed and clean. There was a spare blanket in the closet. There was nothing more we could ask for. There were even fresh-baked cookies in the lobby. We had the free hot breakfast this morning. It was amazing. The choices were abundant—bacon, eggs, potatoes, pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt, waffles, coffee, and delicious smoothies! We ate a hearty breakfast. I consciously looked for anything wrong here and I only came up with 2 paltry things: the luggage carts were too small (actually oddly wedge-shaped) and the bathtub was a little slippery. Other than that, you will not find a more perfect Hampton for the price.

I never write hotel reviews. This is an exception because after staying here, I was so pleased with the hotel, that I felt I owed it to them to recognize the hard work they put in to have made my stay so wonderful. The staff was super friendly. Even when I (being an idiot) locked both my key cards in the room, she was happy to help me quickly get back in the room. Breakfast was fantastic and well stocked. The rooms are clean and spacious. Room AC is *AWESOME*. There was even a hand written card personally thanking me for staying here in the room. They had plenty of cookies, cheese sticks and even lasagna available to eat in the evenings. They do a lot of little things here that all add up to make it a completely wonderful experience. If you need a room in the Huntsville area, I can’t recommend the Hampton Inn Decatur enough.

Enjoyed this stay very much. I will definitely use this hotel again and recommend it for a visit of your on. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very nice. The complimentary breakfast was good and refreshing.

I stayed here with my husband for business. Great staff. Daniela checked us in she was really nice and informative. Our room was clean and breakfast was great and so was the breakfast attendant. I think her name was Brittany. I will be back!

We always stay at this Hampton Inn in Decatur Alabama on our drive to Lower Alabama. It's a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. We like to get dinner at Big Bob Gibson's BBQ then get a good nights sleep at this location. We will be back.
