Tough to rate this one, the hotel itself needs work. Don't come here if you are looking for a modern facility, you will be disappointed. Come here if a clean room is your big concern and you want a great pool area to relax at. Kids club is a plus as well. I have continued to come back to this property because the pool area is worth it. Great hotel for a family stay.
Novotel says that this is a modern hotel and yet it is, I believe, 30 years old - probably with the orginal elevators, that were old and cramped (prepare to wait 10 minutes for one to arrive that has space enough) Stayed for a night to fill in before a longer stay. Check in was a shambles - despite the invitation to check in at the special Club table, there was no-one there. Trying to get the card reader to accept an American Express card for the usual nightly deposit was so fruitless that in the end no deposit was taken. Turns out that the hotel was at full occupancy - mainly with a corporate event. So, when the twin room that I ordered turned out to be a single large bed I did'nt even bother to try and change. A very uncomfortable night trying to sleep on the chair. Breakfast generally was ok but badly organised but slow table clearing & slow replenishment of food. Amenities are well suited for families with children - children's pool and slide, games area etc. Dining was expensive and not the best - can do better outside the hotel. Overall, not the level of excellence I expect from the Novotel brand.
We were very impressed with this beautiful resort. Friendly staff, rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast had plenty of variety. The restaurant had a great menu with different theme nights. The pool was fantastic with a great water slide that we couldn't keep the kids off! The pool bar was a lovely way to spend the afternoon especially at happy hour. A special mention to Max, Jing and Ji for looking after us with their great service! And the biggest thank you to our new friend Bunty, the man with the best job and a big smile. A wealth of knowledge and always eager to please.
Arrived at the hotel around 12.30 was greeting and helped to carry the luggage by the security guard. Waited for the room to be ready around 2.30hrs, maybe it’s long weekend. During that period was accompanied to the Executive Lounge which located near the beach and the lady staff was really really really helpful. She always came to see me and updated about the room. Great job for her. As a Le Club Platinum I was upgraded to the Suite on 17 floor, room was large and so comfortable with a nice ocean view. However, there is no minibar in the room except tea and coffee. One weak point is elevator is quite small and hot. All staff was very friendly and helpful.
This was our third visit to the Novotel Cha Am and the hotel continues to improve every time. This is a family holiday and there are loads of activities for the kids at the hotel. Rooms are nice, however they seem to have an issue with the hot water system, if the person in the next room is showering you can hear the sound of an industrial water boiler just behind the TV.
+ Excellent service from staffs. In evening, they do provided ice basket to our room, therefore we go buy some soft drink near lobby. + Many activities zone in hotel: Kid area, play station zone, trampoline, arcade, pool table, table tennis and etc. Some got extra charge. + Shuttle bus to city, which provided the schedule in the room (extra charge) + Every room in this hotel do have sea view + Big swimming pool + connected room so very good for family + the water shower is really strong. Love it. +/- The room is quite dated, but well maintenance. Clean and big room. - fitness is in the main building near the restaurant on level 3. it was difficult to find - Air-conditional is quite noisy, but cooling.
Considering we stayed in Novotel exactly on Songkran festival, the hotel and staffs were better than expected. We came on a holiday looking for comfort, cleanliness and a place that has a big kids club. We stayed in an executive suite and the room met our needs. We did not mind if some of the amenities were not brand new because the view was splendid and the bed was comfy. The executive lounge's offer was a bit too scarce on food selection and it would be great if breakfast there has some poached eggs and porridge or a Thai dish. This is a high season and a festive week after all so we don't expect any staffs to attend us. We know that since it was crowded, there will be queues and waiting so no big deal. But it can be improved with more staffs. But despite the congested lobby, lift or pool area, the staffs smiled and did their best. It was so crowded at the premier lounge and there weren't enough seats and there was only 1 bartender. But amazingly, he managed to feed all the guests! However my husband pointed out that it would be considerate to build some shades for cars parking under the burning sun in the hotel also. This time we did not eat at the Ocean Terrace although it has a kids play area there(nice!) because the pizzas were not as juicy and the mozarella was not as stretchy as before and the service is presumed to be inefficient on Songkran so we did not bother to risk that.
Location and friendly staff This time is my second stay. I booked the executive room via agoda. When I checked in, Khun Pakbung was nice and polite but she informed that our room excluded club benefit as no info in the reservation system. Then I let her do rechecked again. The result was the reservation officer did not put club benefit info in the system. That made me disappointed. However, all situation could be turned into the positive way when my husband and I met Khun Bunty. He is Guest Journey Ambassador. He is polite and very friendly. You can talk, ask or suggest anything with him. He is opened-mind and try to help guests for pleasant staycation at Novotel Hua-hin. (Great for put the right man in the right job!!! ) Security guards were polite, always present Thai respect by do Whai and say Sawasdee ka/krab. Lounge staff always smile, polite and welcome. Thank you Khun Bunty and team to listen and work hard. Cheers!!! PS. I think the mirror film logo at the lounge are not beautiful and annoyed eyesight, should contact the supplier to clean it out.
We were with our family for the last three weeks at the hotel. We wanted peace and ease from our vacation. Here we got it. The arrival of the hotel after 20 hours was easy. We got our room right away and it responded to our expectations. We made it easy because we had been staying at the hotel the previous year. Premiur Lounge had switched to place. The new location was an old gym location with stunning views of the ocean. The meals were enough for us. A little snack all day and in the evening 17-19 got beer and drinks as well Particularly our minds were Poo and Nier, who were really helpful. Nier was in the morning and during the day working at the Premium Lounge and in the evening in front of the hotel grilling octopuses. Still, he would smile and serve fine. Thanks to Nier! The hotel had got a new GM and he had made some great changes to the hotel with his team. This is a great thank you to the management. We recommend a hotel for families, couples and friends. If you are looking for peace and ease as we do, here's a good place to go. If you want to go shopping or do some activities, then there are good things in the environment. Hua Hin shopping centers, water parks, Hutsad Elefant Foundation, etc. All nearby. The price level of the hotel may seem tough if you compare prices to restaurants in the area, but we did think that the price level was fair, as compared to European prices. The experience is good, so we'll be back someday. Thanks for the great experience
