Rooms overlook beach. Higher up rooms give pretty views and are quiet. The grounds are pretty and the pools are great for families. The streets around are colourful and handy for impulse shopping. There is a free shuttle bus to the town where the night market is really good.
Location is fine. The hotel looks old. Check in used longer time than expected. Breakfast was OK but sometime smokes cover the breakfast area (no AC). The pool is fine but many debris. Good thing is that there is 7-11 nearby.
Hotel is located on the beachfront and offers great views from the room and a very good pool area. Various food and beverage choices available however could improve in this area . Rooms are clean and comfortable . Not a lot in the immediate area but the normal massage / beauty / laundry on offer just around the corner from the hotel . In house spa and reasonable priced massages available poolside .
Overall, it's average but the services are good. All staffs have a good hospitality and friendly. For the hotel building, it's a bit old and small. The elevator is seroiusly old and creepy. Also the location is quite far away from the main road.
Plus: 1. Rooms are sea facing and you could view the sunrise at the balcony... for sunset, you could go to the rooftop bar which has both the sea view and the mountain view and you could view the sunset there! 2. Hotel occupies a very big area with all the necessary facilities, especially good for families with children. 3.Checking in was efficient and staff was friendly and welcoming. 4. The hotel shuttle service to and fro for a fee of 50B (per trip) is useful for you to get to Hua Hin Town for the buzz of activities. 5. Twin beds were of good size, bigger than single beds, think more like 2 Doubles. Could Be Better: 1. Hotel is actually out of Hua Hin town. Thus, if you have booked tours or like ours, cooking lessons that provide free pick up in Hua Hin Town, you will have to pay extra for the taxi ride. 2. Shower area has a half glass panel, have to be careful not to spray water out to the dry area of the bathroom. 3. Last shuttle service pickup from town is 8pm. That leaves very little time for you to eat and walk around the night market as many stalls are truly operative around 6 plus to 7. 4. Pillows were too soft and flat. Heard that you could select pillows but did not check that out. Overall, it has been a relaxing and positive experience in Hua Hin and Novotel.
This was a return trip after my first stay in February 2017, which was a very bad experience. So upon returning, though I remained open-minded, but I was secretly quite skeptical that the management would improve over a period of 3 months (speaking from experience with other luxury hotels). Having said that, when I arrived and checked-in I noticed that the Accor member's area is now brought out in the open instead of previously being tucked hidden in a corner, the responses of the staff from front desk, to room service and housekeeping has improved significantly. Not only were they more spot on, their energy is now more bubbly and pro-active. And the warm welcome I received, truly made me felt that the management do care about their patrons' feelings and thoughts. The gym has also been moved to the same floor as the Horizon Cafe, which made it less scarier to go for work out, given the previous location was outside, closer to the beach, making it quite a dark walk when you go for a work-out in the wee hours of the morning. And I was also told that the Executive Lounge will be moved to a bigger space very soon, which I can't wait to see! I am beyond words at how fast the management called to action on matters. In fact I can safely say - I am proud of their progress! Kudos to Alexander Eaton and his team!! Officially, this hotel is now my Top 3 MUST STAY hotel in Hua Hin/Cha-Am. I look forward to my next stay and new updates from Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort and Spa. Keep up the great work!! P/s: Check-out the photos! :)
Hotel and room lovely. Definitely would like to come back. The kids loved it at the pool and the beach and the food was lovely in hotel. Plenty of local bars and very cheap for pedicure and manicures. Great foot massages offered nearby also.
For my upcoming 50th birthday celebrations, my wife and I chose the Novotel Cha Am for 2 reasons - 1) we hadn't been there before, 2) it was relatively cheap as a Royal Orchid Holiday (ie recommended by Thai Airways). Nice spacious rooms with very comfortable beds, all rooms have big balconies facing the gardens and the sea beyond, but there were a few things that needed to be looked at: 1) Breakfast buffet underwhelming - a lot of choice but either overcooked or boring 2) All F&B outlets are essentially outdoor, as are corridors and public areas. It seems the only places with aircon in the whole hotel were the guestrooms 3) Drinks at the pool bar not cold (particularly draught beer), and someone PLEASE teach the bartender how to make a good Mai Tai 4) Once per week shuttle bus to Cha Am market full very quickly, and no consideration of providing another one, when the shuttle buses to Hua Hin were mostly empty Front Office staff excellent, particularly one guy around 35 years old (all staff have the tiniest name badges on, so unless you make the effort to ask them, finding out their names is almost impossible), and a special mention to the Director of F&B Richard, who made the effort to wish me a happy birthday and ask if we had any comments. All in all, if some money was spent on the place to improve the air conditioning in the breakfast room and the lobby bar (which looked really welcoming, but due to no air con it was empty all the time), and a general touch up here and there to make the place appear taken care of, it would have got 4 stars from me. One thing though - so many people have complained here about a lot of kids everywhere, and whilst there were a few when we stayed, we weren't disturbed at all, and it actually looked like Novotel had made a good effort to cater to the kids as well as the adults - a plus point if you have a family. Our biggest regret, not going to the 23rd floor bar, as it wasn't promoted anywhere. At all.
Swimming pool and other facilities are modern and nice. Service is friendly and helpful. Room is fine, all rooms faces beach. But the bathroom is a little bit smelly Shuttle bus to Huahin center town everyday and totally free for all. There is seven/eleven shop in front of, u can buy many daily stuff from there I have a chance to back to Huahin, I must take this resort again.
Had visited the Novote at Hua Hin Thailand, A very beautiful property with great view, The kids had a great time at the pool, the food was good, and the staff very really friendly and helpful. Hua Hin was a more laid back destination as compared to Bangkok . the Hotel had great spaces for kids to enjoy within its premises.
