Exceptional in all respects. Management and support staff were exceptional. Breakfast was outstanding and the SHEFF magnificent. Thanks to each for helping lower each of our stress leves to the minimum and changing our attitudes from depressed to thankful to our ALMIGHTY.
Bad experience at checkin Not professional No sense of service at the reception Excellent breakfast and lobby service by Monica Simpson To be honest I did not make an attempt to speak to the manager neither did I get into that aspect once I was engaged by Monica even during check in . I found out she was helping the previous night while off duty
The staff is friendly. All the rooms are expected (clean and confident that we can relax and rest). The only complaint is the breakfast isn't well attended. The fresh cut fruits weren't replenished and the waffle mix was out.
This was an excellent Hamton Inn, which makes for a very good overall experience. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The pool and hot tub were very popular. The hallway areas were rather stuffy, but the rooms were cool and comfortable. Sunday mornings get a bit loud when the International Church service gets going. Eat breakfast early to miss this.
The Hampton Inn Westchase is a clean and affordable choice. It has a really friendly staff. The location allows easy access to western Houston, but also downtown due to proximity to major traffic arteries.
I research every hotel I'm deciding to stay at. It might be a Hilton brand but i want to make sure the hotel is new or updated and is near decent restaurants. While this Hampton has been updated, it's in the middle of a small office park and there's not much nearby. I'm guessing the area is a predominantly Asian neighborhood because there were literally 10 Asian restaurants around the hotel. But if you want something else besides Asian food, you're gonna have to go up the expressway a bit. Rooms are standard Hampton style. Nothing special. It's not a bad hotel; just not a great one either.
This particular hotel didn't act like they knew what was going on from time of check in to the next day. The room (1 room I had two) wasn't ready and called the manager to send someone up and they still didn't do the bathroom or empty trash from previous guest. I ended up tracking down the cleaning lady to get soap then I had to clean the bathroom taking out the previous used soap and emptying trash. a lot of people checking in after us and they were dissastified also.
This was a surprise, especially as I was meant to be staying 30 miles away, but the travel company booked the wrong HI sam houston highway hotel! anyway once found it was a surprisingly good hotel, quiet considering the location, a reasonable breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely a business hotel, and does that bit well
We reserved a block of rooms for a national family reunion. We picked the Hampton Inn because we are used to staying at Hamptons at our reunions in various cities, and this property gave us a good rate. The location was in an area that was more business than tourist-oriented. The good result was that the hotel was not crowded over the weekend. The bad news is that restaurants and attractions were all a long drive away. Nothing was within walking distance, and all the roads seemed to have tolls. The airport was 25 miles away, and there was no free shuttle. The good news is that the breakfast was excellent, as usual, with make-your-own waffles, eggs, meat, fruit, muffins, juices and more. There were microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, so we could snack there. The pool was clean. There was a spa, but it was the same temperature as the pool, even when we pushed the right buttons. They had a meeting room that was not large at 986 sq feet, but we crowded inside. They had equipment to project presentations, but no microphone. The staff was helpful and accommodating. There was plenty of parking, and we could park in the back where there was a door close to the elevator. There was a massive Haliburton facility behind the Inn. There was little traffic over the weekend, but it might have been congested on week days.
I have been to better Hampton's. Room was OK, nothing out of the ordinary. Halls and common area's very hot and stuffy. No air circulating. Rooms were COOL and comfortable temperature. Would possibly look for another newer property in the area.
