Pleasant stay for the price and location. Although renovations were underway, my experience was uneventful. The complimentary breakfast was decent, however, rotating the fresh fruit daily would've been nice. I'd stay here again.
Was a good stay. Hotel is under construction, but still good nights rest. Good breakfast, cheerful person at breakfast will make your day bright! I stayed for a few days for a business trip. This is located next to the airport, so I did hear planes in and out but it wasn't really loud and slept soundly. People are friendly, and pretty convenient to getting around the south side of Houston. Will be a really nice hotel when all renovations are completed!
I got an alert that it was under construction and there would be a humidifier in the room but it was just too much of a construction site and the room was dirty so we had to bail. My wife was willing to gut it out but it would have been ugly. I'm surprised Hilton is keeping this one open for business but the staff was very accommodating, Myra was very professional. I got a room at the Hilton university of Houston which was very nice but about $100 more but my wife was very happy.
The place is a mess and dont tell you when you book the room . We had a huge dehumidifier right next to the bed with a drain tube taped and running into the bath tub... may not want to take a bath. Then went outside to pool and it had construction dirt floating in the water.. The room had a bed and a dresser that is it worst Hilton property i have ever been to.. while they are updating the building they should change the sign to Travelodge
Under construction, bums out front, bad breakfast and just really bad area. Did not have the rooms reserved correctly. Oh and we walked in too a bowl of rotten fruit. Not safe for a family too stay at all.
Hotel is under construction but when booking it wasn't said. Room had a 3ft dehumidifier in it with an extension cord taped on the floor to get rid of the smell, bathroom had no fan for ventilation, asked staff to bring up sheets and blankets to make up sofa bed and they brought up one bedspread with no fitted sheet for the mattress. Construction went on from 6AM-4PM with 3/4 of the parking lot tapped off so you couldnt' get by. Over all experience is that I could have stay a cheaper hotel brand and gotten better service for my money.
The tarp on the roof gave the impression there was some renovation occurring. The fact that heavy rains had fallen the previous weeks was not a good sign. As soon as i entered the hotel lobby, a distinct smell was in the air. When i entered room 426, the dehumidifier wasn't working. They wouldn't even let customers on Floor 5. The only redeeming factor was that all my money was refunded.
Huge, noisy obstructive hepa filters in room. We should have been told about this when we made the reservation with the hotel directly, but there was no mention of it. We checked in on line and room and he air conditioning unit was not working. Had to change rooms.
They should have told us it's under construction for remodeling. Room was really dusty, smelly, and did not have a fridge. the worst experience we've ever had and our skin turned red from rash plus sneezing constantly. We had to move to the Holiday Inn across the street.
Hotel is close to airport and was in much need of updating. Being renovated to match all other new Hampton Inns. Staff is always friendly. Location is right next to airport. Wish hotel would have said they were renovating at the time reservation was being made.
