Doubletree by Hilton Houston Hobby Airport

The hotel is dated, the A/C unit never shut off, had to sleep wearing a sweater over my pajamas. Maintenance assured me that the unit would come on and off - it never did shut off even in Automatic mode. Housekeeping didn't fully clean the room or fully make up the bed

I stayed at this hotel for the first time at end of May, 2017. Unlike the other hotel beds, their bed frame is quite a bit larger, so its hard corner is protruding out from under the soft mattress. Once the bed sheet and blanket are untucked, they drape over the hard corner of the frame and making it invincible. Because of this, I walked into the bed frame and it torn a piece of skin off my shin and caused bleeding and severe pain. So far Hitlon and its insurance company have refused to accept liability on my injury. I tried to resolve this matter with the general manager Helen Bonsall and she has chosen not to respond to my emails, The wear and tear of the bed frame corner showed it has been hit many times, so I am not the only hotel guest who walked into it. A hotel room is supposed to be a place to relax and unwind. A guest should not be on high alert that something can cause a bleeding injury is hidden under the bed sheet way below the eye level. Is that too much to ask? Let this review serves as a serious warning to those who plan to stay at this hotel.

The staff was warm and engaging. The check in process was pleasant and the warm treat was truly appreciated. I will definitely stay again. The location to the airport is perfect. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel over all was nicely kept and clean.

Chose this hotel due to an early morning flight. It was conveniently across the street. Front desk staff could have told me to park closer to my room so I didn't have to drag my luggage to the other side of the hotel. The morning shuttle driver was ok, not overly friendly but not nasty.

Nice hotel, area is a little sketch but a good BBQ place next door. Room were nice, bed great. Noise by the elevators. Bar was full, mostly business guys. You could walk from Hobby to the hotel but from what I experienced Houston is like a billion degrees , must be close to the sun, and quite humid.

Early flight....opted to stay here again! Nice hotel.....on site extended parking ...$6/night while you are gone....shuttle to and from hotel! On site restaurant and bar. And best of all....THE COOKIES! What's not to like!

This is a beautiful hotel located directly across from Hobby airport. Rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated very nicely. Beds very comfortable with soft linens and pillows. Best part is view of airstrips

Excellent service and a very relaxing experience. From check in to check out every hotel employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. There was great food in the restaurant and the in the bar. Take advantage of the breakfast buffet. Not at all your typical hotel breakfast. We could even order omelets or fried eggs. We had a patio room that opened right up to the pool area. It was very relaxing, not any children running and going crazy. We'll be staying here again when we are back in Houston.

If you are flying out of Hobby Airport early the next morning (as we were), there really is no better option. Moreover, the facelift this place received when it converted from a Hilton to a Doubletree a few years ago is welcome (and was well done) given that this is an aging property. So, it's not a 'very good' hotel, but it is a 'good' hotel in a great location for travelers. By the way, the bartender was great, the bar is well-appointed and people seemed to enjoy the food they were ordering (mostly finger foods).

Stayed here once before, as it is the Hilton property closest to Hobby airport. Airport shuttle was prompt and clean; driver extremely nice!!! Used the digital key to check in so I could get to the restaurant before it closed , so I missed the upgrade normally given to us as Diamond members. No worries at all! Food was great and service was awesome!
