My husband and I visited this hotel for leisure as we were in town for a family event. We arrived late Thursday night and were upgraded at check in due to my Gold Status (I had to inquire about the upgrade) and the front desk agent was friendly. We went to shower and the water was not draining and the water was freezing, not to mention the shower was incredibly hard to turn on in the first place (even for my husband). Engineering came to check everything out the next morning and advised that the issues were resolved - fast forward to Friday evening when we returned late and wanted a warm shower only to return to the same problem. We did not spend much time at the hotel but we did stop by the bar on Friday evening and asked our bartender for things to do in the area and he recommended a local Karaoke bar, so we took an Uber there only to find out it was closed and wasted $20 on transportation. We checked out on Sunday and the Front Desk Agent did not even ask how my stay was when I returned my keys, which is why I was not able to provide any of this feedback and give them the opportunity to "make it right." I have been in Hotel Sales for 10 years and spent three of those years selling Hilton properties and I will say that I have never been so disappointed with service. I have stayed at many mediocre properties but have never felt to leave a negative review because the service has always more than made up for it. There were a few other hiccups in the restaurant when we had breakfast but nothing amounts to not being asked about your stay at the end of a visit and almost $600 later. For someone that travels for work two weeks out of each month and is a loyal Hilton customer and knows the brand from selling it, I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere. To say that I am utterly disappointed is an understatement and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Aside from that, my legs are covered in bites - not sure if the hotel or Houston mosquitoes are to blame for that but at this point it wouldn't surprise me if it was the hotel's issue which is another HUGE red flag. Stay away from this hotel!
Checked in early by the rude front desk manager Kevin. I actually talked to him twice on different days at different times. He was consistently unprofessional and rude. At no time was I offered a cookie. Our accommodations were on point, the view was sad. We did not dine on the premises and the next day our linens were changed very late (after 3:30p) Checkout was surprisingly pleasant and enjoyable, almost made me want to stay
I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. Front desk attendant prioritized my early check in and was very friendly. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was superb. Overall i would stay here again!
Service was wonderful, beds were very comfortable, quite hotel and very clean. We were there for a conference and the food was also fresh and tasty. The pool area was well mantained and a nice area to sit outside.
The staff was awesome, accommodating us while we were traveling on Christmas Eve. I had injured my knee and the hostess at the restaurant took notice and got me an ice pack. As always the cookies are great.
When we checked in at 3:00pm the room wasn’t ready. They told us to wait in the lobby & they would let us know when we could get in the room. They never came to get us & when I checked at the desk they said “ oh you didn’t want to change rooms?” They never offered that ad an option.
We stayed at this DoubleTree for my dad's funeral. The staff were very helpful putting my family in a quiet section of the hotel. Rooms very clean and updated. Will stay here again the next time I am in Houston.
No complaints. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Cookies are amazing!! Restaurant and bar in the hotel which was convenient. Outdoor was nice, but didn’t use the pool. I needed a late checkout due to a later flight and for a small fee, no problems.
Hotel is nice with great and helpful staff. Van driver took us to a local place for Crawfish. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very nice pool and patio area. We always stay here when traveling through Houston Hobby Airport.
Staff sent a shuttle at 2:00 AM to Hobby Airport, since we were unaware that Thrifty Car Rental closed at 12:00 AM. Very nice shuttle driver and front desk staff. Offered cookies and bottled water. Clean room and comfortable bed. Very nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
