Everything was perfect, and the staff was helpful and friendly. It is ideal for a one night stay; the shuttle is ideal

Great room and location. Close to airport. Don’t get room downstairs near lobby. Lots of foot traffic w rolling suitcase throughout the night, leaving and coming from airport.

My friends and I, a group of 5 in total, chose this hotel because we needed something near Gatwick hotel with shuttle service and for cheap. We got the 6-beds room. The room didn't feel too overly crowded and was clean. Although I would return here and recommend this hotel to others, the staff is not too pleasant. At check-in, I noticed a sign that hot food was not allowed in rooms and asked the staff about it. She specifically called out Indian and Chinese food for being too smelly and therefore not allowed. I was a little taken aback by her comment since my question wasn't about which food but simply confirming that no hot food was indeed allowed. The next day at check-out, the lady at the desk, the one with gray short man cut and glasses, was just as rude. She was short and direct in her answers and when my friend tried making small talks with her on our way to the airport (because she drove us as well), she replied unwillingly. Overall satisfied but definitely 1/5 for staff friendliness/professionalism.

This hotel is very convenient and the staff is friendly, but the beds were very hard. Also the bathrooms had a very loud fan that we could not turn off, so if anyone used the bathroom in the middle of the night it would automatically run the loud fan for 20 minutes. We took advantage of the hotel's airport shuttle and it was great! Very clean and got us to the airport in less than 10 minutes for only 6£ per trip

I had a 1 night stay at this hotel, it was a pleasant stay. Room was clean with TV, coffee and tea facilities free WiFi. The bathroom was small but OK for a quick overnight stay.

We only stayed for an overnight layover. Checking in and out was efficient. Good sleep and an early flight out.

This is a very convenient hotel for overnighting before a flight out of Gatwick. It is an older building, but has a very nice established feel to it. The staff was very helpful.

Excellent value for money - clean, comfortable and close to Gatwick's North terminal. Our room and bathroom had upgraded modern fittings, and we appreciated the complementary tea and coffee making facilities and free Wifi. The flat screen TV had good reception and a variety of channels to choose from. The Bar is a cosy place to have a meal and a drink, and the staff could not have been more obliging. The shuttle service was one of the reasons we chose the Belmont Gatwick. The absence of an alarm clock was made redundant by our 4.30am alarm call from the front desk. Being on the flight path, it was, as expected, quite noisy in the early evening, but did not disturb us overnight. We think that the Belmont Hotel provides everything the traveller needs for a one night visit.

We booked this hotel based on internet reviews and information on their website that they provide airport transfer. What they don't say is that the airport transfer can fill up and you will have to take an earlier transfer - we wanted either 5:00 or 5:30 because we had a 6:50 flight, but all they could offer us was 4:00am. Fortunately, they did book us a taxi and it was only a pound more than they charge. We also thought that there was breakfast based on their website information, but that's only if you book through their website. Room was big and beds were comfortable.

Hotel is cozy, has a nice pub and dinner menu, and also a good breakfast buffet. Our room was a new addition, it was large, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was nice. We would recommend this hotel. Airport shuttle for $5 each. Good value.

i felt like I was home. The stuff is very polite and always ready to do the extra thing.

A little noisy but great value and friendly helpful staff. A very nice place to spend the night before a flight from Gatwick. A short walk from the train station and an attractive village.

good hotel, though if you book a basic room you ahve to pay 5 pounds per room for the airport shuttle. it also sucks that they can't pick you up from Gatwick if you arrive after 9pm. the other small gripe is the rule that no food or drinks are allowed in the room which we thought was a bit weird. comfortable enough place though for what you're paying and the staff was helpful enough

We stayed at this hotel for just one night before flying out of Gatwick airport. The location is pretty good- it costs about 8 pounds to take a taxi from the airport and it is walking distance to the Horley train station, which takes you into the London Victoria station. Location, though, is about the only strong point. The room was clean, but outdated- unraveling spread, tiny bathroom with a shower that wouldn't drain properly. The worst, though, was that the walls are EXTREMELY thin. We stayed in a room very close to reception and could hear everything in the lobby throughout the night. The person in the room next to us left their alarm clock on when they went to breakfast and it was quite disturbing, which is not the hotel's fault, but the walls were unacceptably thin for a hotel.

I was only there for a night because I was catching an early morning flight. I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities and the friendly staff. The room I stayed in was very roomy and had a few beds.

The hotel used to be a single family home, which gives it a nice and comfortable feel. Unfortunately, my room was in the front of the hotel, on the ground floor. In the morning when people were walking up and down the stairs and getting into cars up front to go to the airport, it woke me up at a ridiculous time. Other than that, the room was great and comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. I would stay here again.

very good

Great location near Gatwick, restaurants and stores. The room was spotless and staff were friendly. We were charged 5 pounds per person for the shuttle from the airport to the guest house because we booked via [...] instead of directly with the hotel.

STAFF HELPED US FIND OUR WAY INTO LONDON AND DROVE US TO THE TRAIN STATION

Belmont House provided free shuttle service to and from Gatwick airport, the staff was very friendly, and the dinner was delicious. Breakfast was included which is always a perk in penny pinching England. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy stay.
