Friendly reception staff, easy check in. I'd booked a double for solo use at a favourable price including continental breakfast. The room fully met my expectations, clean quiet and comfortable, and being an easy short walk to the departure security point was a great time saver

Great location but some issues

Great location and has a restaurant and bar. Room was freezing when I checked in and took about an hour to warm up. Overnight it went very cold even though I did not change the temperature? Got in late, no food available only chips and chocolate bars, which was disappointing. Hot breakfast items weren’t out at 6:15am, also disappointing.

Convenient, comfortable & clean

The Hampton by Hilton is perfect if your flight is from Gatwick’s North Terminal. It truly couldn’t be closer. After parking you walk to the terminal entrance, turn right & walk through directly into the hotel reception. The rooms are modern & reasonable size. The bed & bedding was clean & comfortable. Highly recommend to travellers with an early flight for an option to getting up at dawn .

Good location basic hotel.

Shower water pressure awful. Breakfast very disappointing- no bacon, mushrooms, no fruit salad, coffee machines erratic or not working at all. Only scrambled eggs. Good location for flights and comfortable rooms.

Only seemed to be a pizza available as a vegetarian meal in the evening which was a little disappointing. Otherwise very convenient hotel for the airport. Buffet breakfast not bad, as you would expect but plenty of vegetarian options including various non dairy milks which was a bonus.

Where is the entrance

The main problem was finding the entrance to the hotel. I was dropped by car. I was not informed that the actual entrance was from easyjet check in in the north terminal..

Hilton Rewards but charged $40GBP for early check

We arrived at the hotel around 11 am and requested an early check-in. To our surprise, we were charged GBP 40, despite clean rooms being readily available. This felt like a blatant cash grab. We asked for a receipt for the GBP 40, and were told it would be sent via email, yet it never arrived. We are extremely dissatisfied with this experience. We've stayed here twice before and had no issues with early check-in. I'm still waiting for my receipt, and I suspect it will never come. This is unacceptable.

Very convenient for Gatwick Flights

Such a great on airport choice for Gatwick. Although our flight was into South Terminal, its just a few minutes on the transfer train and the hotel access is inside the terminal itself. Good breakfast included as well which was appreciated.

Hampton is conveniently located, with its own connection to Gatwick Airport’s check-in counters. Breakfast was brilliant too with enough options. Staffs are accommodating and responsive. However, at night, it’s easy to hear footsteps from the above room from our room although thankfully it did not last whole evening and we had a restful quiet sleep.

So much nicer to start the holiday in a hotel than v early start! This hotel is handy for any Gatwick flight. The breakfast was really great and a nice selection for dinner.

We had been warned work taking place outside but not warned no heating. I was provided upgrade and extra blanket and 25 per cent off (which I have to pursue via hotels.com). after arriving on a flight and getting there about 1.30 am on a day when it was snowing at Gatwick all of the above did not really make up for a cold room. Otherwise room was nice and I did have hot water and breakfast which was nice. I just did not sleep well which was the purpose of booking the room for the night.
