The property is budget friendly and conveniently located about 1 block from the beach. It is not in front of the beach ! Perfect place to stay in Waikiki. Rooms are clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay.

A bit conflicted writing this review, but I'll start with this. Hawaii is not what it's cracked up to be, at all. It's dirty underdeveloped, unreasonably expensive etc. Honolulu & Oahu overall are a tad better than the rest, but with that come hotel prices are totally unjustified. This hotel however cost me less for 4 nights than 1 night at more expensive ones that are very close to it. So if I'm going to a disappointing destination, I'd rather pay this price. The place has good newer bathroom vanity and kitchenette countertop. Has clean towels, shower& provides nice toiletries. Newer clean carpet. The bed had clean linens but the mattress & pillows underneath smelled like marijuana and ungroomed sweaty pets. This was a non- starter for me despite the other positives. Other negatives: 1) very noisy exhaust in the bathroom even when AC isn't on; 2) AC leaks after an hour of continuous work.; 3) food truck right outside regularly burned food & you could smell it right in the room, very strong & unpleasant smell; 4) seems like every day is trash day in this neighborhood; that's good, except you smell it even through closed doors and windows in the room. A little dirty outside the hotel, & and better on next street over but don't let that cleanliness mislead you. Waikiki supermarket within 5 min walk has good poke that you can buy by the weight.

The location is perfect. That's the only good thing about this hotel besides its location. ​As soon as I entered the room, the overwhelming smell of rotten yogurt hit me. It was truly disgusting and made my head hurt. I reported it to a staff member, and they said it was an issue with the refrigerator. However, I don't believe a refrigerator issue could cause a smell that sickening. ​They couldn't move me to a different room because the hotel was fully booked. Anyway, there's nothing good about this place except the location. The staff members were friendly, though.

Staff was the best! The property is a little outdated but clean and safe. Loved that they had a community basket that guest could use for free, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, sand mats etc.
