Great CP value Very clean room Nice staff Highly recommended

Everything is within walking distance. Traffic in the area is a bit crowded. K2 shuttle is located outside Peninsula Hotel. Must ask driver where to drop off when you ride it otherwise you might miss it

Good location. Close to Star Ferry. Walking distance to almost everywhere Friendly staff. No fancy hotel lobby but waiting area is sufficient for meet up The name of YMCA is mistaken as it's a hostel. But the hotel is pretty decent for both business and family traveling.

We have been staying in this hotel for many years now. So it was our immediate choice. Especially the concierge who was indifferent and not receptive. One of them gave us the feeling that we are bothering him. In the past they used to be more friendly and receptive this has somehow changed. Overall, it's a good hotel and I would definitely recommend it. For Hong Kong the value for money is good

Hotel was at a good location, the room was clean but a little cramped, café had good food, the waitress in the café had excellent people skills and gave good service, the waiter not so much. We enjoyed our stay at the YMCA.

Well to be honest I would stay here again!! Great value spotless room and a fantastic location!! I thought the single was perfect for one person and I did not feel cramped even though the room was on the smallish side. Room was very well designed. My main problem with this hotel was that the pool was closed and will remain closed till June 2017 at the earliest! I dont like staying at hotel without pools so I was quite disappointed . Had I known the pool was closed I would have stayed ELSEWHERE !! The hotel would have been a great value with the pool and in my opinion was a mediocre value without my ability to go for my daily dip!!!

Wonderful place to stay as everything including train station is a few steps away.

The Salisbury is located at the tip of Kowloon and within striking distance of all of Hong Kongs many amenities.

Elevator is shared with the local YMCA kids & others. Pool belongs to the Y & seems like the hotel borrows it. Fitness center belongs to the Y & there is a daily fee to use their minimal equipment. Bathrooms seems a needing of an update & refresh. It's ok

This hotel is located a “stone’s throw” from the harbor. So, selecting a room with a view of the harbor is a must. My room had a queen bed (which is the largest option available) and this left little room for moving around. As with most things in Hong Kong, space is at a premium. The staff was attentive and professional. Being in Hong Kong, I think they prefer to speak English instead of Chinese, which worked for me, as I am terrible with languages. My companion spoke Chinese, so we were able to handle any situation which arose. Since we were here only a short time, and wanted to explore as much of Hong Kong as possible, we were not able to make use of the hotel’s amenities with the exception of the restaurants.

Though an older hotel, I think the YMCA benefits from this by having larger rooms. A recent remodeling has made them quite on par with more modern hotels. Other than that, it's a great space for a great price in Kowloon — and a great location to boot, depending on what you're doing.

The hotel is very nice, but the location is not convinced for bakery, restaurants and local foods.

We only had a short stay in HK but enjoyed arriving at the The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong after a full day of travelling. Check in went smooth and we were upgraded to a suit with harbor views. It was fantastic. Our expectations were surpassed. We would return to this hotel if we go back to HK. PS: My rating for the amenities don't count as we have had no time to enjoy them. We don't even know what amenities there are.

it is very good hotel. i recommend it. i travelled it. it is very good location. i am not fluent in English.gooooooooooooooooood hotel. the breakfast is very goooooooooooooooooood

Can't better than this in terms of location. Everything is right in walking distance less than few minutes and all the rooms are remodeled so all in mint condition. The cafe on ground level is excellent. And quiet as well. I will definitely go back to this hotel for next trip. Best ever!

We could still enjoy the new year fireworks from the room.

The Salisbury YMCA has perhaps the best location for a hotel in its price range in Hong Kong. It is near the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula, surrounded by far more expensive hotels, close to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Yet being a YMCA, it is a clean, well kept hotel with a very affordable price. It's breakfast is a plentiful buffet with the option of freshly fried eggs or an omelet. Just remember that if you are staying there and arriving by air, the best way to get there is to take the airport express train to Kowloon station and then the free shuttle bus to the hotels, which has a stop in front of the Peninsula Hotel--across the street from the YMCA.

Checkin was friendly and fast; staff very helpful and the location is perfect for seeing Hong Kong. It is on the Kowloon side, but only a few hundred meters from the subway to the Hong Kong side. The room was quite large and modern and the breakfast brunch was huge!

Although the YMCA is not one of the cheaper hotels in Kowloon, it can't be faulted for all it offers. It is easily accessible from the airport on the 21A bus route, next door to the prestigious Peninsula hotel! and the Star Ferry is just a stone's throw away. Although some of the floors were being renovated, everything possible had been done to mitigate any inconvenience. The rooms are spacious and very clean in comparison to others in the same area. This was our 3rd visit and each time we have been upgraded and a welcoming fruit basket has been provided. Do not miss the breakfast - it is famous for the meal provided.

The location is very good and had the view of the harbour.
