It is an extremely clean room. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful as well too. They have a blow-dryer, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving kits, and of course a pool as well too. Even the reception seems pretty nice.
Chose for location. Rooms were clean with nice amenities. Airport express bus stop at front door. Room was slightly musty but it Older hotel and it Hong Kong. Travel bottle of Lysol fixed that for entire stay. Good neighbor hood , 10 minute walk to mong kok MTR and ladies market. Good bakery's near by. Will stay again. Don't let history keep you away. Everything was outstanding
The hotel is located on Waterloo Road about 15-20 from the nearest MTR stations and the Ladies Market. Walking in Hong Kong is slow because of the crowds and high density in the Mong Kok district. Our room was a triple and was large compared to hotel rooms in Hong Kong in general, though you pay for it. Wifi works only inside the room. The room had been remodeled but already showed signs of wear from rude and crude guests. The bedding was ok, and room ok clean. Mold was in the tile grout in the bathroom and carpets even though in could condition otherwise could use cleaning. While reasonable in price for our stay, we will likely stay closer to an MTR station next time. Street noise is tolerable as there is so much that it is white noise except for motorcycles, cars with modified mufflers, sirens and horns. The hotel is three blocks from a major hospital.
My room was upgraded, beds were specially padded by my require , I am a fuzzy quest to please, yet can not find fault for this stay . I feel like a home away from home.would definitely keep Metropark my perminant hotel to stay, when visit Hong Kong in the future.
15 floor up are nice! But the rest are too basic for some one looking for warm cozy stay.
Nice hotel with airport express bus right in front. But it is quite a walk from the nearest subway station, which makes it rather inconvenient. There is a vegetarian restaurant close by, but I didn't have enough time to try it. Rooms are good size for Hong Kong, and amenities are tightly tucked under the desk.
I would recommend a closer attention to the bath mat, it shows signs of mold. The desk area by the night stand is too tight that you have a tough time try to pull out the chair to use it. Very limited closet space.
This hotel is very comfortable, not luxurious. But the service is great! I asked for an iron, it was there in 5 minutes. I blew a fuse (my fault), maintenance was there to reset it in 10 minutes. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful. 24 hour concierge very helpful. If you don't have a local sim card they will give you a cell phone for free--you can make local calls and international to some countries for free. It is loaded with advertising but was very convenient for me. Refrige in room (no microwave.) Wellcome grocery store right across street and ATM down the block. 10 minutes to Mongkok East MTR and about 15 to Mongkok station. Free bus from Kowloon MTR station where you get the train to the airport. I will definitely use this hotel again. Downside: It was sometimes noisy--walls seemed thin, often heard voices, kids, opera singer. And they pipe dreamy Chinese music in the hallways. If you are light sleeper it might not be the place for you.
A little expensive for an old style 3 star hotel, many rooms are in need of renovation, the renovated ones are nice. I choose it for the location, right next to my aunt's apt. building. Too far from metro, limited choice fir eateries, no shopping, surrounded by assisted living facilities.
Room small but clean, staff are nice and friendly, but little far away from hotel to subway
This hotel is probably 3.5 stars at its best. Unfortunately, this hotel does not meet the standards for a 4-stars hotel. The gym facility is very small with only 3 treadmills and 3 mini weight sets (5-10lbs) in which you have to ask the lifeguard to unlock. There's no mats or space to do stretches or floor exercises. There were 3 ladies in the gym using the pool lounge chairs as their mats, and since the space is so minimal, they pretty much took up the whole gym floor. I didn't use the pool but it does look very small, definitely not a lap pool. The walk to the gym and pool facility was also not very luxurious. You have to walk through these stairways that looked like you're walking through a parking lot stairway, which really didn't provide the 4-stars touch. The room overall cleanliness was not bad, but not good either. Obvious signs of dust were on all surfaces. I would recommend managers to use the white glove test to assess for cleanliness. The furniture showed signs of wear and tear. And bathroom needs some update. Drainage of sink was poor along with lack of shower head water pressure. The Victorian flower-laced style supply basket in the bathroom was definitely out of date and was dusty and moldy. Please get rid of that. The staff member that checked me in was talking so soft, I had to ask her to repeat herself multiple time. It would have been nice to see some more energy and friendliness from the staff member.
The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The room came with a mobile device to assist wifi and photos during the stay.
The hotel is very close to shopping areas and a few blocks from the MTR substations. It requires some walking to go to certain places. Some buses pass by Waterloo Rd near the hotel so there is no problem with transportation. There is a doctor's office next to the hotel with English spoken. I actually saw the doctor and along with the consultation got the medications at the same time. The fee was reasonable and comparable to my copay with health insurance in the U.S. The hotel restaurants are a bit pricey, but across the hotel is a restaurant serving dim sum at cheap prices. Highly recommend it. The staff at MetroPark was very friendly and helpful, especially the concierge desk. If I get the same discounted promotional fee, I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, internet was fast, buffet breakfast was good, room was clean and always replenish toiletries
I love to stay this hotel again, only problem is a little far from MRT station, but I will pick this hotel again if I travel to HK, staffs are nice and helpful. * I pick number one on a few questions because I think it is the best, but if number 5 is the best, please change it to 5 from 1.
Room smells! Air condition out of control! Too expensive for the quality
Everything is good about this hotel, especially the staff. We had an outlet problem and they responded within 5 minutes and fixed within twenty minutes. Other staff are very helpful and courteous. However, I want to remind people to specify or request non smoking rooms if they desire, or else they will put you on a smoking floor. They have three smoking floors out of 17 floors or so.
Although this hotel was good, but coming back at night using subway was just too much walking after a very hot day. but all in all was good.
Decent size room. Not near MTR. As least 10 min walk (Consider very far in Hong Kong). It has four elevators but it takes a long time to wait for elevator. Even if there is an elevator, it is pack. Sometime, a closest elevators will skip your floor. Sometime, after a long wait, the elevator that you are in will stop at every stop even the elevator is full. So, it took me 10-15 mins just to go down to lobby except very late at night. Budget you time accordingly.
I've got my whole family to stay with me for a week holiday and was great except that the Hotel room wasn't what I expected as I used to stay in some other Metro Park Hotel - Kowloon branch where I booked 3 rooms none of them were cleaned properly even I did told the staff. overall cleanliness is disappointing to my part - hotel management should look into it.!!!
