The location is excellent and almost everything you need to see in Helsinki is within walking distance and if you don't fancy walking around you can always take a tram or subway (located across the street). Helsinki central railway station is a few minute walk from the hotel as is the bus station so where ever you are going, you can get there easily from here. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the beds.. Oh my! They offer you a selection of pillows and duvets so surely there's one for everybody. I slept like a baby! I could say a lot of great things about this hotel but the most important one (at least for me) is their exceptional customer service. We had issues with our TV so we called the front desk and they came to see if they could fix it and after that it was just a smooth sailing. I felt like a "queen" and am still amazed how they made us feel. They do really care about you and make sure that your stay is a success! I strongly recommend for families, couples, you name it!
We had a great stay during midsummer weekend. Our room was quiet and clean, and the service was good. There's nothing unique or exceptional though that would keep people coming back, there's tons of hotels in city centre with similar pricing. That said, That said, We've had exceptionally good breakfast at Scandic Marski and other Scandic hotels nearby, so this breakfast left something to desire for.
We booked this room so that we could have all the family together in one room as finding family rooms throughout Europe proved difficult. The room was huge and the price was reasonable too. The beds were great and the pillows (something I am fussy about) were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The super breakfast was indeed super, with your options on what to eat great. We set out to enjoy all the amenities including the Sauna. The hotel is very central to everything including the the bus and train station which means getting around was super easy.
A good hotel in an excellent, central location so you don't need taxis and about 4 minutes walk (slightly up hill) from Central station. Pros: Extensive breakfast Large rooms Excellent location Safe for solo travellers Very good customer service Cons: Breakfast can get very busy and space is an issue- no one to really sort the problem out Bathrooms dated (but clean) Gym is well - equipped but in an underground annexed Building about 2 floors underground - I found this a little intimidating as a solo traveller The golden question? Yes I would stay here again - knowing how to dodge the issues
it was just great! - Were there for the world congress of ophthalmology and enjoyed the stay very much. Nice City, friendly People, midnights-summer.... Hotel ist very well situated almost in the Center, but still quiet place. Typical Radisson Blu...
For the price, not worth it. Our room had no black out shades. Bathrooms were small. The breakfast had poor coffee and the only plus was the omlette bar. The people at the desk were very friendly and helpful, but the rooms were very overpriced, the duvets were too short, and the beds were lumpy. The heated floors in the bathroom were nice, but didn't make up for the deficits.
We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The location is very good, downtown, not far from the Central Station, tram and bus stations close to the hotel. We had booked a room with the option for an upgrade to a suite and got it. The suite was spacious with bedroom, living room, very good and large bathroom, extra toilet. Given the very reasonable price we felt that this was indeed very good value for money. Only the aircon did not work properly. Breakfast good, wi-fi working very well. The breakfast room is used for the restaurant Grill-It, where you can get your steak, but this is a bit pricey. They don't have their own fitness center but you can use a near-by gym free of charge, which is a just a few meters away. All in all a good hotel at a reasonable price.
Good location. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Very secure. You have to use use your room key to enter the wing we stayed in. And you need to use your key for the elevator. Very good breakfast. Dinner menu is pricey. There are plenty of cheap eats nearby. Definitely will stay here again.
Experienced a catalogue of issues with from check in (messed up reservation) and then room and service were pretty poor throughout, resulting in uncomfortable stay. May be ok for leisure trip but totally unsuitable for business travellers
Nice hotel, nice people, good location close to central station, to Tallink, to Metro, to shops and restaurants. 15 mins walk to central station. A supermarket across the street. Free wifi. The only issues were the broken safe they forgot to repair and some stains on the furniture. Writing this in order for them to take care. Overall it was a good exprience, and i would stay there again.
