The room was quite retro and personal, which to me was a positive experience. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the center with shopping, restaurants, bar right down on the street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming that left a very positive experience. Price-quality expactations were met.

The Finn is well located only a few hundred metres from the Helsinki railway station, and from all the downtown shops/attractions. It is a budget hotel, which we booked for a one day stay at the very last moment (the day before) due to a flight mix up. In that regard it suited us perfectly. The young woman at the reception desk was friendly and helpful on our arrival and when we returned to take our luggage from storage (itself a great facility the way it's been set up). Given the type of hotel it is, it was hard to fault. Our bathroom was a bit smelly, but this did not detract from our sleep.

I loved this little hotel! The room was immaculate and modern with very comfortable beds. The bathroom has a heated floor! It was very quiet, safe and secure. The rooms are on the 5th and 6th floor with good lighting and a large window. There is a fast elevator too. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. You are just a short walk from the train station and a few blocks from the esplanade and city attractions. There is a large grocery store by the train station and many nice and reasonable restaurants nearby. The hotel has good coffee all day long. There is an electric kettle in the room. There is a good deli across the street for breakfast or you can picnic in the room. WiFi works great and it has a nice, big flat screen TV. Check-out is noon and there are secure lockers for left luggage. Prices are reasonable - everything you need for a good base to visit Helsinki. I would love to come back again and recommend it to solo travelers or those traveling with a friend.

Hotel itself it's ok. Rooms have good beds and decent shower. No fridge thought. Only problem is that there are many bar's downstairs and the sound reaches the rooms. I could fall a sleep after 4 a clock when the bar's were closed. Maybe good place for party folks.

The Hotel is perfect to base yourself in wonderful Helsinki. Everything very clean and the bed comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. My room was very small, however I was travelling solo (with hand luggage only) so didn't matter, would have been very cramped for 2, I would however stay here again in a heartbeat.

Helsinki is an amazing city and having a good base of operations in a city like this is essential. Hotel Finn is right in the centre is very affordable and follows traditional Nordic minimalist style. Clean with friendly staff and quiet despite the central location. Would have had 5 stars apart from the lack of on site breakfast and air con in the rooms but amazing value for money

The best part about this hotel is location (which you will see in other reviews too). However this is where it ends if you are looking for other facilities in a hotel (e.g. breakfast, lobby to chill out, views etc.). The rooms are clean (though look a bit outdated with scratches on walls etc.) and a decent bathroom. We stayed here for just a night. The staff at reception were quite helpful. I would recommend staying here if you want to spend most of the time outdoors and come back to sleep at night (nothing more).

This is a small but very nice hotel. The location is superior for not so much money. No breakfast or restaurant, but there are plenty of cafes and eateries around. The toilet is narrow... if you are tall, using the toilet is kind of hilarious. The street noise can be a bit much at night as well as the smokers at the bars downstairs :-(

My husband and I stayed here in May 2019 over the weekend he was running the Helsinki marathon. The hotel is very easy to find from the train station, just a few minutes walk. We arrived around midnight and were a bit concerned as we approached the hotel and realised it is in a busy street filled with bars and there was a lot of people around. However, we were lucky to find we had been given a room facing the back of the building and we honestly did not hear a sound so if you are worried about the noise, request a room there. When you walk through the corridors, it definitely feels a bit more like a hostel than a hotel but we were pleasantly surprised by the room. The room was a decent size for 2 people, beds were fairly comfy and the shower was great! The hotel is very central and is close to tram stops to take you to various sights. It was a beautiful weekend when we stayed so we walked around for the most part and everything was within walking distance. The only downside to our room was that we were directly across from the cleaner store cupboard so we were woken with bumping and banging but in the grand scheme of things, it didn't affect our stay. We would definitely come back here!

The hotel was good for the price paid. The location was perfect, since it was very close to Helsinki railway station. The room was clean and the staff healpful, but I would have liked some recommendations from the staff of places to see and so on. The only problem for me was the shower, since the bathroom was rather small and there was no separation between the toilet and the shower itself. So, every time I showered I made the entire bathroom wet. Overall, I'd recommend the place!
