The room was good and clean and looks like 'economy' room at the average hotel. The hotel is expensive, but for Helsinki is ok. The location is good and the view also, because all the rooms are on 5-th floor.
Don't let the basic nature of the Hotel Finn put you off. The price is right, the rooms are clean (if small with private baths), and the staff is happy to help you make your stay a pleasant one. On the 5th and 6th floor of an office building, this is a hotel somewhere between a hostel and a small boutique hotel, no restaurant (arrangements during the weekday for a reduced price buffet in the restaurant next door) or amenities, but great for the self starter traveler. It is a prime location, walking distance from the central station and the train from the airport, and within blocks of major museums, eateries, and the Market and Senate Squares. Literally across the street from Stockman's and Artek, and a few blocks from the Design District. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Staff could not have been more accommodating. I even messed up my check out date, the staff called me, helped me get into another room (mine was already reserved) and did not hurry me at all.
Considering that the city as a whole is expensive, this was a good choice. It is in a downtown area with lots right around the hotel. The room was clean and large enough for two people. The staff was great! Yes I would stay there again.
Location is perfect too noicy at night time. No service after 9 pm or so,breakfast next door...
