Hotel is nice with a good location near the central train station and walking distance from a lot of the attractions. The Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful for the entire stay. Breakfast had a lot of options. The WiFi was simple to use with the password and very quick.
Location is good but there is not enough street lights during the night.
Stayed one night before leaving for home the next day. Late evening check-in was quick and easy. Our room had two single beds, a small desk, TV, a few clothes hooks, and had all the ambience of a college dorm room. No floor separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom; a long handled sponge mop is provided. Breakfast was typical Nordic and plentiful, but the scrambled eggs were obviously artificial and the traffic pattern around the serving tables was poor. Prepaid reservation, so check-out was quick. Easy walk, with wheeled luggage, to the airport bus and adjacent railroad station. If we had time, most visitor sites also within walking distance. This hotel is fine for an overnight stay, but for longer stays you might want to look around further. Not appropriate for business travelers.
Given the high cost of hotels in Finland, this one was perfect for its value. Clean, organized and a good staff - no frills but excellent for everything one might need. -Kartik
College dorm from the 70s. For $20 more you get a much nicer hotel.
Room was too small. Bathroom was very dirty with back mold.
The location is great for whatever you want to do - bars, restaurants, etc. The beds were not very comfortable but for Helsinki, the value is great.
The Arthur Helsinki hotel was average and would have liked some air-conditioning. The breakfast was excellant. Only about 200 ft to the Metro-Subway system and about 300 yards from the Central Bus and train station and another access to the Subway system. A good value for location.
If you might want to have a spacious bed, and bath tab, it is not the place to stay. I myself is small enough to fit in the bed, and OK with only shower. Location is very good, Breakfast is good enough. Sauna service is fine.
This is an older hotel so don't expect everything to be perfect. The room was clean, the location is great and the breakfast was super. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
