Bathroom tub/shower sink and tub drains were defective so that neither could be drained. Drain stoppers had t be removed. Therefore tub could not be filled. Shower was designed so that water spilled out on floor. This serious defect should have never existed because it an obvious design error. The breakfast rooom was located up along flight of stairs making it impossible to reach by seniors who have mobility limitations. The elevator accces was blocked due to broken door lock. Forced to eat breakfast either in room or go out in search of a restaurant . Also one light bulb was burned out.

The hotel is a couple renovated buildings connected and with a glass atrium. Very spacious rooms and huge shower. Sift pillows, great beds. Best breakfast scrambled eggs ever. They have other interesting stuff at breakfast like sea-buckthorn jam and mini cheese breads. Bystro, a fab Russian restaurant, is next door and I LOVED everything I tried. Only downside is the stairs to get to the lobby, a pain if you have a big bag.

Hotel Haven is always perfect for me great location wonderful breakfast with high quality scandinavian food selection clean and spacious rooms comfortable bed quiet room with great design and decor, unfussy & clean. I've found the staff helpful when called upon and honestly can't say that I would expect anything more or suggest any material improvement. While I was in Helsinki only one night this trip, my thanks and I look forward to my next stay.

Staff is proficient in English; room was clean and well decorated; bed was nice and soft; breakfast was very nice.

The hotel allowed an early check-in after a long overseas flight. That was a plus. However, they charged and extra 50 euros for a travel companion. That was pretty steep considered the breakfast was just cold cuts and they still only put one bottle of water in the room. The maids continually interrupted, particularly at around 8 pm for a turn down service which featured a single bottle of water. The gym was small but in good shape and had a descent selection of workout gear.
