This was my first experience traveling overseas and this hotel provided the comfort and the serenity required to get up the next day. It's located close to the waterfront and is within walking distance to many of the beautiful shops restaurants. The staff at the hotel was cordial, helpful and friendly. I strongly recommend a stay at this hotel!
Spent one night for conference in this "boutique" hotel. Room was spacious and well equipped, so was also large bathroom. Our 8th floor room was opposite elevators and there was clearly audible and somewhat disturbing noise coming from elevator machinery. A good visdom which applies to hotels is to try to avoid rooms next to elevator or machine rooms. Next door office building had a good view of bathroom shower as window was only party covered with shaded tape.
In town for only a couple of nights, we chose Hotel Haven for its location and other reviews. It did not disappoint. We had rooms on the top floor facing the harbour and they were beautiful. Plenty of space, lovely outlook and if you can be bothered to get up - dawn will reward you with stunning views. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty available and a good range. You can ask for cappuccinos and hot chocolate and they will be don't to order. There are extras that you can order over and above what is included in the buffet breakfast but we didn't feel the need to. Location is perfect. Helsinki is very walkable anyway but the quay area is a convenient hub to be based at. And finally the staff were very kind, helpful, polite and efficient. What more can you want?
We moved to this hotel from the Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa hotel, which was horrendous. Hotel Haven, however, was amazing! We stayed in the prime superior room since the regular one was not available. The room was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom very nice and spacious. Breakfast was really pleasant too, lots of fresh fruits, pastries etc. Service at this hotel was absolutely faultless and professional, especially the receptionists. Receptionist Maria showed us three rooms which were available and we were able to check in earlier. The options were prime superior with partial harbour view, grand deluxe with harbour view(more expensive) and prime superior in the updated part of the hotel. We chose the updated room. The whole hotel is very conveniently located right next to the harbour and market, close to the city center. We had a great time at this hotel and will be back nextime we are in Helsinki!
I have been in this hotel several times, and I am truly saying they are unnormal smily stuff (to be Finn, and I am myself Finn so I know) and always have given such a nice experience from arrival till departure. I like the location, I love their rooms (after renovation!) and as said, smily stuff. Some errors has happened with bookings, but haw the handled them has been immediate prior getting into room. Naturally, when not living in Finland I can say bar is very pricy, but selection is amazing! What is missing in this hotel is the proper gym and pool. But "Allas" near by can cover that. Special thanks goes to receptionist, they are INDEED professionals in customer service.
This is a luxurious hotel right in the center of the city. Stayed here for one night on business. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. The bathroom was functional and clean. The lobby bar is nice, and the breakfast buffet is very delicious. This is a great place to stay if you want a taste of luxury in Helsinki.
There is everything to like about this hotel. The service was faultless, the room was spacious and well appointed and it has an intimate feel. Breakfast location is fabulous and the breakfast itself was good. The hotel is well located. We loved it so much that we will be back next time we are in Helsinki.
Really lovely hotel, classy and clean. Locations is really good, you can walk almost everywhere.Staff was helpful and upgraded our room little bit bigger, actually we saw sea from our toilet. Breakfast was so good. Gym was small like usually in hotels. Can´t wait that we can go back there!
I'd never been to Helsinki but my family had many times and on their previous visits they stayed at Hotel Kamp . They were telling me that the rooms at Hotel Kamp were in need to renovations and told me to look elsewhere for our upcoming visit . I came across hotel Haven on TripAdvisor and thought it look more modern and new . They rooms looked nice and spacious ( they are ) so I booked it thinking it would be on par in term of luxury to Hotel Kamp . Upon our arrival I realised that Hotel Haven is actually more of a boutique hotel than a luxurious one . There is no porter . A female receptionist had to help us with our luggages and check us in . She was a trooper and very friendly . The lobby is tiny and there is a modern - looking bar on the opposite side . We had reserved one Grand Deluxe with harbour view , one Grand deluxe and a Prime Superior. The rooms were good sizes although the rooms with harbour are smaller . I do recommend the rooms with the view not because the my Grand Deluxe wth street view was so noisy it was very hard to sleep and it was a nightmare in the morning . The location is central and within walking proximity to all shops and the famed Stockman department store ( although it would say Hotel Kamp is more centrally located ) . I had breakfast in the old building in the front of the hotel facing the harbour although you could hardly see the view . The windows are tiny . The room was old , cramp and tiny . The breakfast selection was not great . Not much selections of fresh fruits / yogurt / bread etc . And the buffet was set up in this dark dingy room . I guess this is what you get from a boutique ' hotel as opposed to a luxurious one . I asked for egg white omelet ( am a pretty healthy person ) with grilled tomatoes on the side and at first they looked at me as if I was crazy but I got my order in the end . The staffs were so helpful at breakfast even though they did not understand my egg white request they did try their best to accommodate . As for the room ( my Grand Deluxe city view ) , as I mentioned before it was super noisy . The room was spacious with large bed , sofa , writing desk as well as a dining table for 4 seating . The bathroom is tiny though and the amenities were in tiny bottles ( by Elemis ) . They do have a nespresso machine inside the room as well as a kettle . The newly renovated rooms were clean and new . They also have a tiny gym room with 3 cardio machines . The best thing about this place is the staffs who were very helpful . I would say that this is a nice , modern as well as efficient boutique hotel but it is not a 5 star luxury hotel on par with Hotel Kamp ( I had lunch there and Kamp has a sense of grandeur about it . ) Overall decent Stay , friendly staffs , breakfast left a lot to be desired and please get some double glazing ผ.
Lovely room with good features and great bathrooms. Clean, modern, everything works well, great room service, comfy beds, good location. What else do you need? Definitely recommend this for business or pleasure
