Excellent stay at Hotel Haven. Room in the new wing - room extremely comfortable and spacious with beautiful windows and a luxurious bath and seating area. Breakfast lovely and very nice seating bar area also. Very central just off the harbor. Staff excellent and helpful. Only gripe is the 10 euro fee for ordering room service which is excessive. Would definitely stay again
I had a business trip that ended last Thursday 08/02/18. I was offered a number of hotels and chose this one, as it just looked great. From the beginning of my stay , when I had lost my luggage and was given some essentials to make life more comfortable to the end I felt pampered without being smothered. The rooms are lovely , including a totally luxurious bathroom . The staff are exceptional , even when faced with some quirky requests of mine. The amenities the hotel offers are good- a nicely equipped gym, a homey bar and room service at all times if you need it. The one time there was a delay in cleaning my room- over the weekend - was just an opportunity for me to discover another delightful corner to sit and read in. And the location- just a stone's throw from market square and the ferry to the island . Walking distance to all the temptations of the town centre. If you're feeling lazy , either order a taxi from reception or walk a few steps to the number 2 tram. I loved it and will arrange to return here on my next business trip, with no hesitation!
Cannot fault this hotel, everything was perfect. Very helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Nice breakfast served in a lovely dining room. Comfortable bed, plenty of space in bathroom. Good location for walking out to very good restaurants and nice to be close to the harbour.
Great Hotel in a Brilliant Location...cannot recommend the Hotel any more really... My only small issue was that Breakfast was a bit dull & the Staff totally uninterested to offer Hot Beverages...3days consecutively the same issue with Staff totally reluctant to offer Tea/Coffee. On the 3rd day I actually left & walked over the road to the Market...much better & more interesting.
Three nights at Hotel Haven on two occasions. The hotel is perfect in every way; location, appearance, decor, staff, rooms, bar and breakfast - I could not imagine any item that could be improved. Highly recommended and an obvious choice when staying in Helsinki for business or pleasure.
Very friendly and professional staff, beautiful room, and sumptuous surroundings in a "right in the thick of it" central location. Super comfortable beds, and a lovely creamy Chablis in the bar by the fire!
Just in town for a day of meetings and I travel a lot all over the world on business. With hectic travelling work schedules you need to be able to wind down and relax at the hotel to get ready for the next day, this is just the place to do that. I stayed in the new wing which was fantastic, food great, perfect location in the centre, excellent breakfast, good gym and fantastic staff, everything I could ever ask for! Highly recommend!
We were delighted by this warm & friendly hotel. We spent one night here on our way to Lapland. Our room was huge, with soaring ceilings, under floor heating, a queen size bed, classy bath room and tea & coffee facilities. The breakfast is a short walk across a covered courtyard. Some made comment that in the middle winter this may be an issue. Well it was minus 12 when we walked across and it didn’t cause us any issues. Breakfast is vast affair of smoked fish, cheese, meats, yoghurt fruit, cereals and the ubiquitous bacon & eggs. If there isn’t enough choice for you from this smorgasbord then for approx €6 you can order eggs benedict. The staff are warm, chatty and extremely helpful. This hotel deserves its high status on the trip advisor top ten.
Walking distance from train station (easy trip from airport). Comfortable and cosy. We had lowest category of room which was stylish and quality, everything we needed but had a large pillar and not many windows which was ok since we only stayed one night. Breakfast (which is OK not great), is in older building on the harbour front with lovely views. Entrance is in street one back in new building. The bar is very nice and cosy, good service and they have a very good and reasonably priced light food menu - we ate excellent burgers in a very convivial and comfortable place while playing backgammon. Staff at hotel good and welcoming.
It was a toss up between the Kamp, Lilla Roberts or Haven but finally selected the Haven and that's what it was. We had a Harbour View Room which was great, spacious, Nespresso machine and kettle, great colors and textiles made the room very cosy. Comfy bed. Particularly liked the sofa at the end of the bed to read or watch TV. Breakfast was great, excellent buffet and attentive staff for coffee or tea. Also excellent location, but nothing is very far from anywhere in Helsinki. Gripes? Not really ....still do not understand why hotels insist on having baths rather than showers? The shower over the bath causes a minor flood due to design fault, but not an issue. Shower gel and shampoo non discript....you will not want to take them. Also why do hotels insist on having noisy ice machines in the corridors? Who uses them ....in Finland? Returned to room at 1515 to find it was not serviced but completed within 30 mins. Would thoroughly recommend the Haven
