Lovely boutique hotel easy walking distance to the esplanade , shopping district and other sites. The room was very quiet. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room itself was a bit larger than most European hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arranged a group van to the airport for us. We did not eat at the hotel. Would stay here again.
Cool hotel, especially the lobby, but it falls a little short of being a five star. My room was good sized with high quality linens but the bathroom was just ok. The location of the hotel is convenient to downtown and the harbor (about a 10 minute walk). The staff was help and cooperative though the food was just ok. Scandinavia is very expensive and hotels particularly during the summer high season and this was no exception.
Great boutique hotel with friendly staff, which is located within walking distance of main attractions and the central train station. The entry level suite was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay (coffee maker, safe, mini refrigerator, robes, slippers, sitting room and 2 TV’s). Breakfast buffet, which had some local fare, as well as the typical American and European items, was included in the room rate. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Helsinki.
We spent 5 nights at Hotel Lilla Roberts. The hotel amenities were great and the location was excellent....only 10 mins to the main train station and a few minutes to Market Square. The staff were so accommodating and helped us with many restaurant suggestions and sightseeing options. Thank very much for a great stay!
Lilla Roberts is not a boutique hotel since it is too big to be called that. The rooms are sometimes hard to find and one has to walk long corridors and open various doors before getting to the room. I prefer hotels where rooms are easily accessible. Check in and check out was good and friendly staff. What I did not like was the breakfast experience. Crowded all the time and no personal service or attention. I heard from one of the members of staff that there are many external breakfast guests. I believe priority for seating should be given to people who stay at the hotel. To pay extra for an omelette is ridiculous. I have never done that and will not do that at Lilla either. All in all an ok hotel but definitely nothing to recommend.
The Lilla Roberts is in a great location with many interesting little designer shops, antique stores and bars and cafes to explore. It is also within easy walking distance to the harbour and the shopping in the heart of the city. The rooms are comfortable, (especially the beds)and quiet and the service from staff was always helpful and friendly. The restaurant offers a great buffet breakfast with lots of variety and as well as local favourites and in the evening a very good dining experience if you want to eat in-house.
I loved staying at this hotel in downtown Helsinki. Perfect location just a couple blocks from Espa park, the main shopping area, and the wharf. The modern style of the hotel is super cool and the rooms were a nice size. We had two adjoining rooms for a family of 4. Super comfortable, and quiet at night.
Perfect place for a visit to Helsinki. Good location close to Esplanadi. Hotel is very comfortable; spacious room, nice bed and showers. Excellent service. A bit strange that you have to go outside for a few steps to go to the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast is okay, but not great.
The hotel is very well located close to the center in a very nice historical building completely renewed with excellent rooms and bathrooms. All the staff are very polite specially the concierge Mika Helle who is outstanding and who makes you stay even better.
Return visit to Helsinki had us returning to this lovely hotel that I had so enjoyed on a previous visit. Same standard of room but instead of a walk-in rain shower this one had a rain-shower over bath set up. Same fantastic linens and really comfortable king sized bed, with lounge and single chair so plenty of room. Nespresso machine and well stocked mini bar with good quality tea which was never restocked and also didn’t include any Earl Grey Tea. Bathroom had visible dust that was never cleaned and also the panel on the bath was falling off. Hairdryer is fantastic quality, the amenities were not properly restocked and unfortunately not even the toilet paper was refilled. Towels are not replaced unless you leave on the floor so as we had left them on the side of the bath they we not even hung up. No turn down service, nor complimentary water bottles, although one night a man randomly knocked on the door and said all good? and gave my husband some breath fresheners. We had lovely but very busy and a little disorganised breakfast in the dining room, a lovely dinner in the restaurant and fantastic hamburgers in the bar area. Service by everyone from front of house at reception, restaurant and bar was efficient, friendly and good, though my husband was not impressed to be verbally asked by the barman about leaving a tip for the staff when paying for the bill! The hotel did seem to be very full but that is not an excuse for not providing full service in all aspects, in saying that love the hotel and it’s location and will be an option when we return to Helsinki.
