We stayed here as a result of needing to travel around a lot the following day. As a result, we were treated to a clean, comfortable King-size bed, and a Spartan (though comfortable) room. Included were a refrigerator, table, and good-sized shower. The bed was very good, and the staff happily supplied extra pillows when requested. In the morning we opted to skip the Continental Breakfast, but it looked like a good smattering of fresh fruits, cereals, and of course, waffles, eggs, and sausage. Had we not made other plans, we would have availed ourselves of the offerings at the hotel, because they even had Greek Yogurt. Very good experience, and a good night's sleep!
My normal Helena hotel choice was booked so I thought I'd give the Fairfield a try. The price was amazing and the accommodations clean and very friendly. Will at the front desk was very engaging and steered us to a great restaurant. The hotel is newly re-modeled with bright touches, the beds comfy and the over-all experience was a fantastic value.
The beds are comfy, the rooms updated, the bathroom spotless and new. The kids had a blast at the pool. The breakfast exceeded my expectations - they had vegetarian sausage, cheese omelettes, waffles, and soymilk for dairy free folks like me.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at (and I have stayed at a lot of different hotels throughout the US). Recently remodeled. I loved the décor of the lobby, and of our room. The entire hotel is extremely clean. Our room was spacious, and white glove clean!!! I also loved the smell of the hotel. Excellent price for the quality of the hotel, room, and continental breakfast.
Completely remodeled Fairfield Inn. We slept well as the air conditioner worked well and the room was quiet. The remodel job seems to be a success as it didn't seem the least bit outdated. Did I say completely remodeled?
Not many choices in Helena and we chose this one because it was a Marriott affiliate. It's clean, well-located and reasonable in price although I still think it is a little high for what it is. We paid $150 per night for king bed room for two nights after negotiating a little discount for AAA and a two night stay. Staff was friendly and the room got made up quickly. Indoor pool, microwave, easy free parking, bathtub, small fridge. Really loved Helena and would stay here again.
After looking at the other reviews of this hotel, I have to wonder where it was I stayed. The hotel must be a much older version of a Fairfield Inn, because it bears no resemblance to the very nice one we stayed at in Twin Falls ID. There was nothing wrong with the room. However, nothing else reached the level of OK. The garbage can out front was filled to capacity and overflowing. The breakfast room was probably 85 degrees. The food service was short of virtually everything. The only person that appeared to be working was making food in a back room while the front desk was unmanned. This person, who was padding around in what looked like bedroom slippers, looked totally unhappy and overworked. My guess is that this a franchisee owned hotel, that the franchisee is a tight-wad, and that Marriott's supervision here is very lax.
The hotel was located near historic sites and parks. Accommodations were good and comfortable. Rooms are large. Service was good and breakfast worth getting up early. Definitely worth the stay in this area.
Clean and comfortable. Located in the south end of Helena. The staff went out of their way to help us change rooms between our first and second nights (my fault we had to change rooms, because I didn't make reservations). This includes both the desk staff, and the cleaning staff (who prepared our new room by 11:30am!!!!). We moved to a large room next to the elevator. We thought we might get noise from the elevator, but it turns out it was not a problem. Helena is a very popular stop-over between Glacier N.P. and Yellowstone N.P. So expect it to be full during the summer. The property looked a lot more desirable than the Super 8 (immediately next door) and the Howard Johnson's (immediately across the street). It has very good access to the freeway, but it's also far enough away that it's not noisy. It's also within walking distance of a great restaurant (Overland Express), and it's very close to the Hunter's Point Assisted Living Center. It's also very close to the state capitol building, the huge cathedral, and the Montana history museum.
Very pleasantly surprised. Very nice staff, very clean, quiet, and very reasonably priced for the caliber of hotel. The room was very comfortable. Would definitely return to this place. Easy access off of the interstate.
