First, the staff are incredible, but it became obvious that they were working around chronic maintenance and general dour appearance of the rooms. They are installing new siding on the building but that's lipstick on a pig. I don't stay outside the building, I stay in the room. The TV was built in 2009, it is old enough to get a driver's license. The lighting is abysmal and the color decor depressing. I have chosen LQ from its inception and used to really enjoy the properties. And in today's hospitality market, value counts but sign up the rooms for a facelift and upgrade the TVs & heating & cooling. Thanks!

The property was easy to find and access from the highway and interstate. Check in went well with a nice staff member. Near restaurants and coffee shops and stores. Our room was clean and neat enough. The hallway, however was a disaster. There was trash and piles of linen/towels knee deep the length of the hallway. Looked like the days of hot sheeting in the oilfield. We found people hanging out/sleeping in their cars in the parking lot (for hours in the dark) and a group of guys smoking pot openly in the lot so you couldn’t avoid being exposed to it/them.

DO NOT STAY HERE

The facility is an old run down dump that shouldn’t have the La Quinta name slapped on it. The bathroom included used, single-use shampoo/conditioner bottles and a shower that turns into a bath since the water doesn’t drain along with the dimmest lighting possible. The shade for the window had been damaged when pulled hard to the side, so for your safety you have in room security lighting all night while trying to sleep. There were also 4 lids, but only one disposable coffee cup, and should I go on, or do you get the point? On the plus side, the night and morning staff were very pleasant, the night guy got me new shampoo bottles when I asked. The morning manager was very pleasant, and explained what she thought happened with housekeeping, but never did apologize.

Arrived late in the night, just needed a place to sleep a few hrs with my family. 1st room we got one of the queen beds was completely soaked with piss, that my 6yr old was now covered in. Got another room and that particular room we were warned had no heat. We were too tired to care at that point. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Was offered no discount or refund for the inconvenience.

Had a wonderful stay, nice warm pool!

We had a really great stay at the La Quinta in Helena, MT. Our deluxe king room was nice and big, but showing a bit of age. The room was fairly quiet even though it was facing a busy road. The outdoor pool was nice and not busy. We were the only ones in there on a Friday night. There wasn’t a hot tub, but the pool was really warm. The breakfast was also good with bacon, eggs and waffles as well as the regular continental items. We feel like we made the right choice staying here!

Nice location and a clean room upon arrival. Handicap parking area requires a side hill effort to exit our vehicle, not ideal. Mobility accessible room had wide doors and strategically placed grab bars in the bathroom, but the beds were a little too tall for my handicapped wife. We were there for 5 nights but had no room cleaning, probably due to being short handed over the Labor Day weekend.

We arrived at 1:30 AM and check-in was quick, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, once in the room we noticed the fridge was making a very loud noise, almost like an alarm. I went back to the front desk for help, but no one was there, and after waiting several minutes I gave up. I ended up using earplugs, but even with them, the noise kept me from getting any real sleep. In the morning, I went to shower and noticed black mold on the upper part of the wall. While the water pressure was actually great, I couldn’t help but feel uneasy about the mold and the possibility of breathing in spores. The paint around the doors was also chipped and worn—overall the space felt like it could use some updates and care. At checkout, I mentioned the issues with the fridge noise, the mold, and the lack of staff at the desk during the night. The attendant took a few notes, but that was all. I even mentioned that they had my contact information if a manager wanted to follow up, but I haven’t heard anything. I can see the staff are trying to keep things clean, but my stay was far from restful and not what I expected. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience.
