This hotel was very basic and could definitely use some updating. The one bright light was Vanessa at the front desk - she was so helpful and cheerful. It's amazing how much difference an enthusiastic, professional front desk staffer can make. Give the woman a raise!!!
Very nice Inn in Helena Montana . Nicely located just off the hiway. Excellent place to stay for travelers. Very clean and spacious rooms comfy beds . Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff . Very
There is no shortage of places to stay in Helena and I've tried a fair number of them over the years. The Great Northern remains my first choice for a multi-night stay, but sometimes cost or convenience drives the decision so this time I stayed at the Quality Inn. I generally prefer to stay at the Choice Hotel chain and Quality Inn is their lower level accommodation. There is nothing fancy about the outside, inside, or location of this Quality Inn. It is VERY CONVIENTLY located for people traveling on I-15, less so for travelers going east and west on Hwy 12. It offers basic overnight accommodations at a reasonable price. My room was safe, secure, and comfortable. While the building looks a little old, the furnishing in my room were up to date and the bed had a nice firm mattress. I sleep with the air conditioner on all night to provide some "white noise" which helps block out any hallway or traffic sounds and the one in my room could have done the job for the whole floor. Nevertheless, I had a sound, restful sleep. That same air conditioner did a nice job of keeping the temperature right where I set it all night without the highs and lows typical in a motel. No kicking off the covers or groping for another blanket. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise will all of the usual suspects you would expect to find at the more upscale Comfort Inns. Not the fanciest place, but not the worst either. Comfort and security at a fair price.
nice room that is clean. The carpets in the room and hallways are easy on the eyes and the room is appealing to the eye. Soft lightening in my room nothing very bright. Conveniently located to move easily any where in Helena. Friendly staff. The rooms have a different orientation in the rooms which I find peaceful. It is quiet and I do not hear much road traffic. Easy parking for even large vehicles or vehicles with trailers. Wonderful Montana feel in the lobby with wonderful paintings on the walls and statues in the lobby. Affordable and easy on the pocket book.
Good location, but cracked tiles in bathroom. Bed was soft like jelly and should be replaced. Price for the room was high considering the hotel should be remodelled. There was a snowstorm so this hotel and others were holding out for higher room rates. There was no time to look around. Lots of fragrant room spray upon entry to both the foyer and guest room and this usually means inferior cleaning to hide odors.
Stayed in November 2016. Always look for a place that allows for our 40ft RV and large truck. Lots of parking and easy to access. Room was clean and adequate for our one night stay. Breakfast was standard fare and adequate. Would stay again!
On our first night out, we stayed here. It was close to the I-15, and looked fairly empty, so thought it would be a nice quiet place to stay. We ended up directly below a bunch of hooligans that were on party mode. When it looked like they would not quit, we asked to be moved. The girl at the front desk, Shaylene (sp?), gladly complied and put us in a very quiet room on the other side of the hotel. We got our much needed rest, in peace. Many thanks to her. In the morning we were greeted by the very friendly PK, who warmly checked us out, and told us to have some free breakfast. The coffee was superb, and got me through the morning.
From first appearances without a reservation i probably would have gone elsewhere but was getting late so i stayed. Dirty by the front door and the windows needed a serious cleaning. Not so friendly staff at check in or check out. They didn't explain the breakfast or the wifi. When i asked about where breakfast was in the morning he just pointed. The window in my room either needed replaced or cleaned, but it looked permanent. Bed was ok, but could tell it was getting old. Room was in need of a deep clean, it just had that dirty feel to it. Located right off the freeway but was suprised on how quiet it was. wouldn't stay here again, will take my chances elsewhere.
We stayed here for one night and it was a really spacious well appointed room with all the amenities you could want in a motel.Very clean, spacious bath, frig and micro good TV plenty of electric outlets all over the room in convenient locations. The owners were very friendly, and it's located minutes from restaurants, as I suppose much of Helena is. We did not have any breakfast as we left before 5 am, so I can't comment on that .
It is a fine Quality inn, though i gave only 3 points because of some small issues. The breakfast was a lower level than the usual Quality Inn breakfast and the Tv was located on the right of the bed, which was very inconvenient. The staff at the reception though was very helpful.
