I was in town for a dog show with my dogs left in my van. I rented a non-smoking king room downstairs Friday and Saturday night. The clerk at the check-in desk was very nice and helpful. I asked if other dog show people were staying there and he said not as many as normal because they only have two pet friendly rooms and everybody wanted their dogs in the room. The room was as advertised and clean. I heard very little from my room which was nice. Nice areas to walk my dogs and I felt my van was safe. I will stay here again if I am in the area. The hotel could use a little updating and some TLC. My shower rod was loose on its wall attachment so the shower curtain kept sliding open making it more difficult to keep water off of the floor.
I called and cancelled this reservation before the deadline, but because I didn't cancel online, they charged for the room. I was a stranded motorist with no access to 'online.' It is a PITA trying to deal with people who care not one whit about what you say.
The young woman who checked us in was very, very nice, receptive and accommodating. The physical property (furnishings, beds etc.) were a little worse for the wear, but clean and acceptable for the price. There was no problem with them allowing our service dog and accommodating our child who uses a wheelchair. The staff was very nice.
I stayed in this motel for 3 nights.. First off, the female at front desk was very rude.. Seemed she did not like the idea of me having a service dog.. Kept telling me that she wanted the I D card, that no one carries with them.. Then said i would be charged for the dog being there, so i paid the $45.00 fee. No other motel/hotel that says they are pet friendly charges a fee.. Second, you advertise FREE BREAKFAST.. This does not happen here.. It was supposed to be from 6:30 to 9:30.. I left my room every morning between 7 and 7:30 and the breakfast room was always still locked.. I seen 5 workers try to go eat one morning and the door was locked.. To be quite honest, this was the worse stay i have had in years.. The daughter of the people that runs this business is a very sweet young lady, and knows how to treat people.. I was so happy to leave this motel, and will stay across the street next time..
Never stay at this place! EVER!! the guy at the front desk was very rude to me and try to get me to put my 2 young kids that are aged below the age of 2 in a bed... like no! The place across the street is better. NEVER STAY THERE!! THE PLACE IS NASTY AND THE PEOPLE ARE VERY RUDE!
We stayed here for the weekend while we were attending an event in the area. I made reservations 6 weeks in advance requesting adjoining rooms due to medical necessity. I also called ahead 3 days before arrival confirming it and was told it would be no problem. Upon our arrival, we did not have adjoining rooms and was given the total run around by their careless staff that only made excuses. At that point I wanted to walk out, but it is the only hotel that accepts pets. As far as the hotel, it is in need of much repair. The beds were VERY uncomfortable and the rooms were very worn. The bottom floor of the back of the hotel smelled like a smoke shop and had a broken down air conditioner laying in the hall. Upon checkout, there was a used condom, cigarettes and trash littering the floor in the back. This is not a recommended place to stay unless you enjoy rudeness and filth!
This was by far the most awful hotel experience I've ever had. And that's saying a lot since my husband is a pipeliner and we've stayed in several small town hotels. Upon arriving, we noticed an awful mold and cigarette smoke smell. The entire hotel smelled like this. Upon entering our room, we realized the door lock did not work and there was black mold everywhere! The bathroom wallpaper had it all over and the bottom of the shower curtain was covered in black mold. The chairs that went with the table were stained and the wood chipped. As it was the only hotel close to his job site, we decided to try and stay one more night. Whenever we came back to the hotel after supper, there was a maid in our room cleaning. The manager (who was very rude) walked up to us as we were waiting outside of our room for it to be cleaned! Hoping he was going to apologize, we turned to him. He then told us that the awful stench in his hotel must be our things in our room. Before we could even respond he began spraying all of our things with heavy amounts of febreeze. Yes that's right, OUR THINGS. Not just clothing, my pillow I had brought from home, and our food! Needless to say, my pillow smelled so strong I couldn't sleep on it, and our food became inedible as it tasted like febreeze. We got out of there as fast as we could this morning! I suggest looking for hotels in nearby Brookhaven, they have been a godsend after this hotel disaster!
This place was comfortable enough. The room was ok and all amenities worked fine. Breakfast was average. The staff were both efficient and pleasant. Our room lock has a slightly faulty though. The hotel could probably do with an update
The rooms were horrible! They smelled like mold, the carpet was nasty, the air condition vents needed cleaning, the wallpaper was falling down in the rooms as well as the lobby with visible mold spores, the bathroom shower curtain smelled like it never gets washed. The swimming pool was not in working condition, the continental breakfast was laughable, and the owners lived there and always took 15-20 min to come to the front desk when you buzzed for them. It should be torn down and rebuilt!
This hotel has roaches. The room was nasty and had not been clean. The beds were nasty with hair and holes in the blanket. We slept on top of the cover. The wall paper need to be changed. The manager has a bad attitude. I hate this was the only hotel with vacancies. The room has the worst smell as well as the hallway. The pool was closed. The whole hotel is just disgusting. I will never stay at another best value again....never
