Room 201 lock on the door was completely broken bathroom toilet didn't flush tub did not drain very noisy on the road and it was overpriced. When I told the front desk clerk about the lock on the door he said yeah that locks been broken for some time I gave you a bad room.
The hotel was a great home base for our trip. The staff were very friendly and took care of all our needs. The breakfast was super with a lot of variety. There were a lot of restaurants close by. Rooms were very clean an well stocked with coffee and toiletries. Great stay and I will stay there again!
Whenever we book a cruise from out of New Orleans we always book an overnight stay here. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly, and the morning breakfast is always amazing! We can't wait to book our next visit
I arrived early around noon and was able to check-in. The bed was comfortable and the halls were quiet. The TV was a little odd when it came to finding something to watch. There was no guide channel and each channel switch was on a delay. I never saw anyone at the pool but it looked inviting. The parking lot is a little tight. I felt like it was a door scratch situation waiting to happen. I pick hotels with breakfast because i love bacon. The bacon was cold but nothing a microwave couldn't fix. Right off the highway is where I needed to be. I'll definitely stop here again.
Safe, we felt safe at this Inn. the staff was friendly, helpful. Seen some customers that were rude and the staff kept their smiles and cool head. Rooms are clean. The breakfast was very well maintained, and the tables kept cleared. Price is slightly higher than other hotels in area... but well worth it not having to make a trip to front desk for this or that, 4 or 5 times. Everything was in it's place and the bed was comfortable.
This is a very nice hotel. The lady at the front desk was super nice. We had a king size bed. She even gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat. Everything in the room and hotel was in great shape. We just couldn't get the temperature in the room right. It was cold when we got there. I think the problem was there were two thermostats. It got too hot. I don't blame anyone but it took all night to get it right. We were staying here to avoid paying $150 a night in New Orleans for one night. We have a two hour trip to The Norwegian cruise dock. Seemed like a good stopping point.
We stopped here for one night on our way to New Orleans. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and they had a good complimentary continental breakfast. Would return if I'm ever in the area again.
The hotel looked new to us and the rate was more reasonable than nearby HI Express hotels. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff refilled the coffee for us even though it was only about 15 minutes before breakfast was to end. We stayed in a king room on the third floor. The pillows were good - not too puffy. The sheets were a tiny bit itchy - polyester I guess. The bathroom was a typically good HI Express. 3rd floor was quiet until morning when guests started slamming doors. Why don't hotels use quiet-close hinges? This hotel definitely looked like the best of the nearby options. There were plenty of places to eat nearby, although we weren't in town for a meal. Plenty of TV channels. A keurig coffemaker and a fridge were in the room. They need to add an outlet near the full length mirror in the room so that you can do your hair if your spouse is in the bathroom. For a stopover on a roadtrip, this was great. Decor of lobby was very pretty.
The staff was so friendly at this Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were clean and updated. The free complimentary breakfast was VERY good. We didn't get her name, but the woman taking care of the dining area was so friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and welcomed. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The hotel appears to be fairly new or is at least well maintained. Our room smelled a little musty when we got here but it was better after turning the AC down a little bit. They offer a military discount which made the king suite room we stayed in less than $90. There is a Keurig coffee machine in the room which was convenient for a nice cup of coffee in the evening. There is a modest breakfast served in the lobby with standard hotel fare. The Cracker Barrel across the street was irresistible for a big breakfast. One drawback about this hotel is the odd entrance. You have to pay close attention or you will miss it and you may end up driving in the exit lane. One other thing is that the lone elevator is woefully slow and the stairs aren't centrally located. Overall this is a nice place to stay at a very affordable price.
