The people were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet and clean with plenty of restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay here again. Staying here was like staying with friends. It was just an extremely pleasant experience
The rooms look to be fairly recently renovated. Good style and comfort. Fridge, flat screen TV, and plenty of places to charge devices. Seriously, they are outstanding in this area. There are 3 lamps each with a good USB port and 2 easy access outlets. I am happy.
This hotel is in the process of changing into a Comfort Inn and construction is obvious but the staff was super friendly, rooms were extra clean, everything from carpet to beds was new and smelled new too. The continental breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, waffles and more. It was well stocked and delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that the vanity, including the coffee pot and hair dyer are inside the bathroom where the toilet and shower are. I didn't find a Gideon Bible in the room so I called the front desk to ask if I was overlooking it and she explained that with all the construction that it had probably just been removed and not put back. In about 5 minutes, the front desk lady was at my door with one. I appreciated that a lot!
We had 17 family members stay at this Econo Lodge while traveling to New Orleans for a cruise. The renovations were distracting and seemed to be taking place all over the hotel; however, the rooms were nice and completely renovated. The staff was wonderfully nice and accommodating, fully going above and beyond. The price was reasonable and it is very conveniently situated in relation to Hwy 55.
Front guest agent, John, was excellent. Friendly, fast, accurate service. Heavy remodeling taking place. Entire front of hotel has scaffolding, front room has no flooring. Room 307- bathroom was clean, but walls are cracking . Bed was hard, uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy, uncomfortable. Would not stay here again
This hotel is in the middle of a remodel going from an Econo Lodge to a Comfort Suites. The Good: VERY friendly/helpful staff (I called in *hours* before I arrived to ask if I could check in to get a 1st floor room--I had a bicycle I wasn't going to leave on the rack on the car in the parking lot overnight. It was No Problem!) Comfy bed--that was no Econo Lodge mattress! The breakfast room cook/server and I chatted while I ate breakfast--her gravy for the biscuit was seriously good stuff. Room was clean. The bad: Well, it's under construction, so the lobby was really dusty, the carpet in my room has not been changed out & smelled, the bathroom hasn't been updated yet, either. But I read reviews before I booked it, so I knew it was under construction and wasn't surprised. I got a good breakfast, but I was there shortly before they closed it down @ 9:30 and a couple who came in after me got nothing. (I took the last of the bacon and don't feel guilty at all. mmmmmmcrispy!) The rate was decent AND I got a great bed & pillows, which is what I want for an overnight stay. When they finish the update I'm pretty sure it's going to be VERY nice, but until then, well.....it's ok.
People from surrounding areas came to the pool. People from surrounding areas came to get breakfast. My kids couldn't really swim and they had to wait a hour for a very 3 pieces of bacon and half a scoop of eggs. Management needs to put a end to people from the other motels coming in and out. A sign said no glass bottles outside near the pool and well there was plenty of glass bottles everywhere. Very disappointed.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful..clean room...good breakfast ..construction ongoing in dining room, but no big deal. Breakfast served in conference room. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends..
This hotel is in the midst of a brand change. The room was clean but needed updates. The carpet throughout looked worn. Some breakfast items were out when we arrived to eat but the staff person gladly brought more out. The towels were new and soft and a good size.
My husband and I stayed here while we were opening a business in Magnolia, MS. The room was big and roomy. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is also wonderful. The young man that checked us in around 6AM was very polite and friendly. Overall it was a very good stay. The only down side, and it's minor, the carpets could use a good cleaning. ...and it wasn't that bad.
