Too many loud, rude foreign tour groups. Do not stay on the floor near the library. They offer a free happy-hour which is generous but the foreign travelers behave like a party-way to loud talking and laughing until way past 10pm so you can’t sleep. The foreign guests were Horrible.

This hotel offers free alcohol for dinner buffet and limited time at Library. They have lots of books and Manga. I was disappointed that the big bath close at 11 pm and reopen at 6 am. Many hotels offer longer time for variety lives. Also This hotel doesn’t allow to my though the room is ready.

It's new style onsen hotel. Great for family! They offer free snake, drinks and dessert. There are many common area to rest and connect with family and friends.

This was our stay in the Tokyo - Kyoto route and I must say that that night was the rest that I need. This hotel is awesome and a totally battery charger. I stay for 1 night and enjoy all the free activities. For the ones like me that got tattoos there are private onsen baths that you can use and are really worth it.

I can't wait to come back to Hakone Yutowa. The entire property is beautiful with 2 private onsens and a social space/library on the lobby floor with free snacks and drinks. The garden outside was so serene and really adds to the Hakone experience. It was also within walking distance to the Open Air Museum which is super convenient.

Great place to stay near Gora station, high in the mountains of Hakone. However It is very inconvenient to have to carry suitcases up and down stairs, because the elevator doesn’t go to each floor. Be aware of this if you are not able-bodied. Travelled should be aware that there is nowhere to eat dinner or breakfast except from in the hotel itself, and it’s quite expensive. Reception staff are wonderful & helpful.

Staff is friendly and helpful! They let us leave our car and luggage before check in time. When we return to check in, the luggage is already in our room. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will definitely go back.

Hakone is beautiful and so is this hotel. We loved the location as it was a 5 min walk from the train station, 7 min walk from the convenience store, and surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The staff was pleasant and no issues checking in, but there was one night when a group of older folks from the UK decided to turn the quiet seating area into a loud bar, drinking and being obnoxiously loud, and the staff were too shy to say anything. The rest of the guests were clearly irritated and displeased and most hot up and left. Other than this, the food was decent (we had the buffet breakfast and dinner included in our stay), the rooms were simple, but clean and spacious with a lovely mountain view, and the outdoor foot bath and private onsen were just great! I would return. Check out the pizza spot which is in walking distance, it was awesome.
