Well you get what you get, it's a cheap place. Well was not so cheap for us as we stayed close to the solar eclipse. But one of the few still available. The good thing is: there's a reasonably fast wireless, generous breakfast and the staff is fairly welcoming. The bad thing is: the rooms. The attempt to make them nice was there, but the sheets were old with various stains you just cannot wash after some time. There was a certain smell of old stale something in the room. Also there seem to be nothing in the vicinity except for a train station which is bit loud in the morning. Apart from that, we took it for what it was, cheap motel in a forgotten city in the middle of Wyoming. Take that into account and you're fine. If you expect a classy cosy cabin such as somewhere in Jackson down in the Tetons... well you'll be disappointed. However please put the Tv on some respectable news channel without sound during breakfast. There's only as many cheesy american commercials one can see in a day...
I was price checking his Hotel. The lady at front desk quoted my a price. Then the owner appeared and he ask me am I a Veteran. I told hi! I'm a Disabled Vet. He gave me a dirty look, and spoke to the girl working at the desk in his own language about me. She raised the price 15$ higher....I was shocked. I ask him why he did that. He said he don't giv a dam bout Vets,,,,and told me if I don't like it,,,,leave. I'm a Choice Member in good standing! He is anti American Veterans! Watch out for that dude. If u are a Veteran,,,stay away from that hotel. I will post this about him on all the Veterans websites to warn them about his Anti American attitude
This motel should be removed from Hotels.com or any site! Not only is it at the "iffy" end of town in Gillette, but it is across from a railway switching station. On top of that, the motel itself looks like a holding station for transporting prisoners from one location to another. We've stayed in some edgy places, but quickly drove away from this Rodeway, sacrificing our $74.25 payment. Once we were situated in the Home2 hotel (only $20 more per night for a great suite), I called the Rodeway to cancel. The person who answered was ready to hang up when I asked if they wanted our name so she'd know whose reservation to cancel, she said, "um, no, I fine." Either she didn't care since she had our money, or we had been the only reservation for the night.
This hotel refused my request for a Elite Diamond Member. ....Late check ! I made a copy of HOTEL BENEFITS under. Rules and Regulation and left it at the front desk with Mason to give to this Mgt. ( Muhaumad Khan) ! He said I can only stay until Noon because his Maids are to be off at 1:00pm. I said I was going to report this to Choice Mgt. !!! He said he'd have me removed if I wasn't out by Noon !!! Something's gotta be done about this type of situation! !!!
Very clean. Breakfast was nice. Staff super friendly. Definitely a good place to stay when you are wanting a good sleep. Surprised at room quality for the low price!!! Breakfast area was roomy with hot breakfast. Something available to appeal to everyone. No frills place, but clean, quiet, and comfortable.
The sign said Amercias Best but it seems there may have been a name change? Horrible!!! The first floor where they wanted to put us reaked of cigarette smoke. His reply is they are clean rooms! Maybe but they stink! I have asthma and there was no way I could sleep in that room. We were moved upstairs. I called for extra towels there were only 3 not very large and rough ones. I was told if I wanted them I had to walk downstairs to the front desk, gee what great customer service. The bed was full of stains on the comforter if you could call it that. The picture on here is NOTHING like what our room looked like. There was blood and make up stains on my pillow. Most of our group slept in our street clothes. The eating place next door was awful don't go there. If I knew how many other hotels were across the road I would not have stayed here but we were a large group and very tired so we stayed. Never again!! Breakfast skip it not worth it.
No extra pillows. Room was not clean. Towels not pure white. Owner had kids answering the phone and the kids kept hanging up. Had to walk over to get a wake up call. Owner's wife claims the rooms are not kept up as she has to train new staff every 6 months as she hires exchange students.
We enjoyed our stay at rodeway inn. It is nice place to stay. Very clean comfortable beds good breakfast. Staff was super nice and helpful. Shower was great. We will stay here again on our way back. Close to resturants.
We were passing through Gillette looking for America's Best Value and ended up at the Rodeway Inn, upon which we were told was America's Best Value a few months ago. Check in was fast and Chris was funny and accommodating. Room was large, clean and smelled fresh. Bathroom was big but the tiles were a bit dated. Beds were comfortable and a big flat screen TV in the room. Breakfast was really good, alot of selection. We plan to stay there when we come through Gillette again.
This motel is a complete filthy nasty dump!!! I would not recommend to anyone. It is so dirty inside & out. Room was bug infested & so much garbage & dirt behind the beds and night stands. Staff was very disrespectful and rude!!!!
