We were passing through on our way to Big Sky and decided to stop here. The water park was wonderful and my kids had it all to themselves! They were thrilled. Our room was wonderful with two beds and a pullout sofa which was perfect for our family! We had to leave before 6am and were delighted when we found the amazing free breakfast available before we left! Great healthy options and the kids loved make your own waffles. Thank you Fairfield! We will definitely be back!
From start to finish the service was mediocre at best. All the staff from maids to front desk, an exception was pool maintenance guy, were not openly friendly. The cleanliness and niceness were average but not great. We will not be staying here again we will stay at another hotel that is cheaper but very nice that we've stayed at in this area, that has free pets and great service. We would use the park again and pay the 7 dollar fee per person and still save money.
Great location, great free breakfast, great indoor waterpark (although one of the slides were not working), but the low rating was for the bath... It was not draining at all so I took the drain apart and pulled out wads of hair, gunk, and who knows what else! Looked like it had never been cleaned out... ever. Also, there was hair on the shower wall.
I am a Platinum level Marriott member and loyal to Marriott even when the only option is their less expensive hotel. Generally, that is fine; just less amenities. Not this Fairfield Inn. I stayed here last August and had multiple problems and decided to give them another chance this week. Mistake. The phones never worked for three days and one of the TVs never worked, despite my multiple requests for repair. Last summer my room got skipped by housekeeping one day and when I returned at 6:30 pm, the clerk said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked her to have the manager contact me the next day but I never heard anything. Same response this time. The staff are very friendly but the overall management and upkeep of the hotel is in great need of improvement. Unless something dramatic changes, and I hear from them, I will not stay there again despite my loyalty to Marriott.
Ashlee the weekend night front desk person was all ways ready to help with any problems and answer any questions about the local food scene. I was on the top floor so it was quiet and had questions about the tv and Ashlee helped me with it.
I decided to stay the night here since I had a 6am flight home. My family came over and they enjoyed the pool area and my 1 year old grandson did too..the indoor water park was fun for him and the adults too. Everyone was very nice. Customer service was super..we will return
We just wanted a place that was clean, close, comfortable and convenient to get to and from. This was exactly what we had wanted. They also were able to recommend a restaurant that fit our needs and made us feel at home.
We stayed one night. Room 128 was clean and looked new. It was a strange layout. Long entryway, but then small sitting area with a desk and sofabed in the corner, then a partition for the queen bedroom. The sofabed was twin-sized, so for a family of 4, it was tight, but the hotel was sold-out. But for one night, the room was fine. We used the water-park access. There were no towels available. One of the water slides was closed and had caution tape over the entry opening and the end of the slide, however, there were teenagers that were going through it anyway, walking through, sliding through it (even though there was no water). There were no lifeguards or people attending the water park, so we informed the front desk, but I believe they're not affiliated with the water park and has separate mgmt. The hotel staff was very nice, and even made sure that breakfast was ready right at 6am, bc she knew that the majority of guests were leaving early the next morning and wanted to make sure they had breakfast. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with a TON of restaurants and stores nearby, and based on one night, it was a good hotel.
The front staff was very friendly! The room was nice and in good condition. The pool area could really use a facelift. It was kind of dark and dreary. The breakfast was very good and I feel like we got our money's worth.
Nice clean hotel with friendly, enthusiastic staff. Great location with restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our time in Gillette and would like to return to visit longer. If we do, we will stay here.
