National 9 Gillette2.5 out of 5.0

I was impressed with this hotel. It has enclosed walk ways with large glass windows and an occasional door to get to the parking lot. This would be great in the winter. The rooms were clean and roomy. The price was great and I would have given a 5 but we were ready for breakfast early and went as soon as the restaurant opened but no one came for about 20 minutes. We waited for breakfast to get on the road but had we known they were not opening on time, we would have gotten on the road earlier. We stayed and it was good. Small complaint but it mattered to us. Other than that, the hotel is great.
I was surprised to find out that others review was so positive, when this Inn has to be one of the worst I have ever seen. The ourside of the Inn should have been a clue as to the inside, but was too exhausted. Te inside was very disapointing. The room had an odor that was undescribeable. Towels were grey, when should have been white. The bed was old. The showere head was for a short person, so if your tall you will have to scrunch down. The place is in desperate need of an update. I would not recommend this Inn. Stay away!
Didn't have high expectations coming into this inn, but when we got our room that clearly changed. Although the main entrance smelled of smoke, our room was extremely clean and smoke free. The corridor has a really cool glass window on both side. The room was a bit small, but everything was extremely clean and the shower was great! It was a bit on the short side so if you're tall like me(6 feet or higher) you might have to bend over to wash your hair. The wifi here is really great though and extremely fast! Despite a shaky first appearance of the inn, the actual rooms were great, and it proves that you can't judge a book by its cover!
We arrived in Gillette at 1:00 pm without reservations. The desk clerk, Liz, asked housekeeping if they could get 2 1st floor rooms ready while we ate lunch. The rooms were conveniently located near our parking. They were very clean and comfortable with microwaves and refrigerators. The attached restaurant and bar were also convenient with great food & drinks! The heated pool looked very inviting, but it was a little chilly for a swim during our brief stay.
Really liked the stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The cost and service were very good and will definitely look for National 9 in the future. My only complaint is why must I make a review that has at least 200 Carothers
If you are looking for a clean room and a place to sleep this is a good place. When traveling and only staying one night and just want to rest I don't like to pay a lot of money so we came across this place and for under $60 you can get a room that is clean, quite, and comfy bed and good coffee in the morning no fancy stuff just your basic.
This interesting motel has sort of a glass exo skeleton across the front of the building, so the room entries are protected from the elements. My well cleaned room was large with comfortable beds and good pillows. Two square tables as well as a dresser to put stuff on. Good functioning remote and tv. Microwave and fridge. Vanities with sinks both in and outside of the bathroom. An attached restaurant and spacious bar with about 30 slot machines in the back. I won $4 on a 20 cent pull! The pleasant gal at check in was efficient and informative. Would absolutely stay here again!
The first night we stayed was was fine. Only thing is, we were not given a breakfast voucher for the Lariat Cafe the first day but got one when we stayed on the return trip back. Booked on the internet.
She is awesome i like her see greet gust with a smile and she is frindly she is the best person and the rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet and it says warm in the room and i rate this hotel 100% they are fast and very kind
This place is awesome. We came into town on a long cross country road trip and were expecting to find a cheap motel. What we got was so much more. The showers are great, the wifi is great, and the beds are comfortable. On top of the top-notch amenities, the staff was the best I've seen for any reasonably priced hotel. Even though it was very late, we were made to feel welcome and at home. The staff were so friendly we enjoyed a fun chat as we went over the check in details and the staff members introduced themselves warmly (their names were Liz and Damara and they are awesome!) Would recommend this place to any road-weary traveler!
