The room and property were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The check-in and check out process was so easy and smooth, and the location was great - within walking distance to the main attractions in Galway. Would definitely stay here again!

Good location

The check in was VERY difficult. Turns out the number required was sent to me 3 hrs after I checked in. The machine required banging on the icons for letters. The location was noisy (weekend) with yelling on the street throughout the night. The other units were clearly heard, flushing, showers, doors closing. Earplugs required. I saw the cleaner as I checked out, no other sraff. Not sure what I'd have done if needed anyone.

An average stay. We arrived shortly after 1500 and we could not check in w the electronic check in system. Thankfully someone from the cleaning staff helped us resolve the situation, otherwise unsure what could have transpired.

It was easy to get to. Parking was across the street. The hotl gave me the wrong room I booked 2 single rooms. They changed it to one double bed. They did change my room to 2 beds for the first night but said they could not do it for the 2nd night. My niece and I could not sleep the 2nd night...bed too small and matress very very hard. Were also spider webs over the bed, yuck!

This is not a hotel

This was an unorthodox accommodation. It’s not a hotel but rather a collection of hotel style rooms in a building near Galway City Center. There is no onsite staff but rather an off site call center, which had responsive staff. There is no onsite parking but rather nearby street parking. Our room had windows facing a busy street, so we constantly heard cars driving by and pedestrians talking to each other through the night, which made things quite noisy. The location is great and the room itself was clean but we would not stay here again. It had the feel of a high end hostel that charged hotel prices. I feel bad writing this because the staff at the call center was nice and responsive, but I would not recommend this place.

Lovely room and kind staff

I had a very comfortable stay at The Woodquay Townhouse. Upon my arrival I did meet Liam who was extremely kind and helpful. There isn't concierge service, but if you do get to meet a staff member, they are lovely. Everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. It's not central, which I found to be a plus as it can get very noisy downtown. It takes about 10-20 minutes to walk to the city-center.

Know before you book

The good and the bad about this property. No reception. No luggage storage. Two stories and no lift so you carry your luggage up steps. No air conditioning which means you need to sleep with open windows. Property on very noisy street. Loud cars and neighboring bars. Personally I did not sleep at all. On a positive note the facility is new and very clean.We called to ask questions and staff was very nice. Location is central to bars shopping restaurants.

Problematic.

The property is self-check in and self-serve. If you have poor internet connectivity, getting in is tricky. The room is pretty sparse compared to even a budget motel. Two beds. No table or desk or chairs. Basically only comfortable to sleep and bathe. The hotel could do with a few more basics in this regard. Also the beds are firm to the point of discomfort and the lack of A/C is problematic.
