An absolute gem! A great little Historic spot that is clean & comfy. Can’t wait to return.
Historical museum with hundreds of famous people photos and memorabilia. Fun to explore. Restaurant just OK food but margaritas delicious.
Great if you like historic hotels. Good price too! But don't expect Holiday Inn. Good beds. Would go again.
Rustic, friendly staff, clean rooms awesome atmosphere. Takes you back to the 30's. If you want fancy, this is not for you. This hotel is for people who love history and want to be taken back into history. Great stay Great margaritas and food was spot on!
This is my second time staying at this hotel. My first visit was on the 3rd level which was a great experience. However on my second stay which was on the 2nd level, I encountered some problems with the room. Mainly the air conditioning didn't seem to be working and the noise levels coming from the A/C unit were unacceptable for a decent nights sleep. All in all I'd recommend staying on the 3rd flood if you want to book accommodations here and there breakfast isn't bad if you need a meal in the morning.
Strange to say, but this place just feels like it is... loved. Like someone carefully tends to every little detail, keeping standards high out of a personal interest in its success. I couldn't find a speck of dust in my room, and there were no less than six pieces of beautiful, original artwork. The furnishings were quality, right down to the cordless blinds on the windows, and their were little touches (like a free hotel postcard and locally sourced toiletries) that felt special. Also, the main lobby was more like a museum of local history and the Old Hollywood who's-who. Well done, El Rancho. Well done.
This is a national register property, so please be prepared for really small bathrooms.
history of the hotel was displayed in an educational way, cant comment on dislikes cause of virus lock down but I did enjoy my stay
Genuinely authentic. National treasure kind of place! If all you want is a room for the night go to a big chain. If you want to visit history, stop here.
Lovely hotel with an old charm. Will stay there again.
Staff was very helpful & nice. It’s a unique hotel lobby
Loved having a great restaurant and bar in the hotel. Featured New Mexico wines by the glass! Beds comfortable and great WiFi. Staff was superior.
This is an old hotel living in its past glory as a stayover for movie stars in the mid last century. It is ok for a stopover as it is clean, inexpensive and with a good cooked breakfast. It is noisy as next to a freight railroad, trains all night.
