it was great, except the bed was too hard for a great night sleep. but it worked for us to get rested and on the road again.
The front desk clerk was helpful polite the price was right no issue at all with staying there again
The quality of this Microtel was better than other places I've been and cost less than lower quality places. The breakfast could have been better but at the price of the room I'm not complaining. The internet connection was a little slow but as already mentioned for the price I'm not complaining.
This was a great stop for our cross-country trip. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but we made do. Internet was somewhat slow. Would stay here again!
I checked in and dropped my bag in the room to go get something to eat. When I returned I could not get back into my room. The pass key wouldn't open the door. It took repeated trips back across the parking lot to the office to try to get the key programmed to work. Over an hour and one-half later, the manager came back and provided the manual key to the clerk and I got access to the room. I would like to suggest that the night clerks be given training and the necessary tools to solve similar problems without needing the manager to return to the site. Clerk was friendly and helpful, but couldn't solve my problem. I was tired and this problem made a long day longer.
I was offered a price that did not reflect the price that was offered I am a triple A Member as well and that he did not give me my price for that you overcharge me
We generally love to stay at MIcroTel when we travel but the Gallup one will be a "pass" next trip. We arrived late in the evening and our room was ICE COLD. Not exaggerating. Meat locker. I asked the man at the desk (he had trouble getting the wig on straight; I may have awakened him) for another room, but he told me to wait 20-30 minutes for it to get warm. It never did! We were so cold and there were zero blankets in the room. Got up and went to the saddest breakfast on the planet. I got bawled out for noticing the coffee was empty. Ate the waffle and left. Bye.
The Pennsylvania Dutch have an expression: Plain and Fancy. Simple yet elegant. This Microtel is just that plain and fancy. The rooms are simple in decor like a hostel in Europe yet they are very comfortable for the weary traveler My room was clean and comfortable, all that I ask for. You get your money's worth when you stay here in Gallup.
Reasonable price for a quick night's stay. Nothing memorable plus or minus. I liked the fact it was some 10 miles west of Gallup, but some might find this on the wrong side (east bounders down). Amenities were competitive but with similar priced motels. Beds were fairly comfortable. Room was clean and odor free. Setting seemed well lit and safe at night.
Stayed on a Tuesday night. Just pulled in off the highway for the night. Checkin was smooth, had a first floor room. Clean room, comfortable beds, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very simple. All in all a good stop & I would recommend this motel. It did seem a little more than I expected the room to be according to the road sign.
