We have stayed here before on the first floor and pretty good this time stayed on the second floor the rooms are pretty dated and show age the hotel is far from downtown it’s off the interstate a distance so at least it is quiet the only other thing is the strong insense smell in the lobby the front desk manager very friendly and polite

Not the best place to stay by any stretch. The hotel did have the nicest guy I believe I have ever met working, he may have even been the owner. This really made up for the rest. I was looking for a cheap hotel just to lay my head for the night as I was tired of my travels for the evening. This hotel overall accomplished it's purpose.

My family and I have stayed here a few times in 2017 and have been pleasantly surprised each time by upgrades/renovations. Rooms are always clean and staff is helpful and friendly. Extra bonus for us is this is a pet friendly hotel so we are able to travel with our dog.

Just passing through for one night and the price was right. Everything else was terrible. Worst Econolodge I have ever stayed at. Linens are so threadbare it was like sleeping on cheese cloth. Room was being remodeled and should never have been used for guests. I was warned that it was not quite finished, but really, it was totally nasty with absolutely no baseboards in the room made it look like a construction zone. Floor had recently been installed but base moldings had not yet completed the job. Other than a hot waffle, the breakfast was minimal at best. Please believe me and do not expect much. My advice is stay somewhere else and pay $20 more.

We were in Gallup for a couple of nights as tourists so didn't spend much time in our room. The beds and pillows were comfortable and everything was clean. It looks like they've recently made some updates to the rooms, one being no carpet. I liked that the floors seemed cleaner. We had good water pressure in the shower. They still need to do some work to the bathrooms but it was clean. The breakfast offerings were cereal, waffles, toast, coffee and juice. That's about what is to be expected for the price. Most hotels in Gallup are near the busy railroad tracks but we weren't bothered by noise at night. The people running the hotel were friendly and nice to work with. I'd stay here again.

By all appearances it is an old, neat space with no frills for an inexpensive price, but it had a few surprises. The room looked clean an was well lit and furnished, but as the evening came we noticed a couple of the towels did not appear clean. There was poop on the rug in the hallway, when we pulled back the bed sheets the next morning there were Kleenex in the bed, there was ketchup on one of the walls, the toilet wanted to overflow but luckily it didn't, and the continental breakfast was very limited (a few muffins, pancakes waffles and cereal, and apples). The microwave and fridge were clean thankfully. We did complain that they should check these things more carefully and hopefully they will. The staff was polite.

Although this motel looks a bit rough on the exterior, our newly renovated room was clean and pleasant. The white bathroom was pristine and the bed very comfortable. Our breakfast was a bit skimpy but waffles were available and muffins, toast, and a couple dry cereals, along with juices and fresh apples. All in all, it was a great sleep for the money!

For years Econo-Lodge has been my stopover point when traveling from southern California to Colorado. Why, you ask? Well, one reason of course is the price. With a AAA discount, my wife and I paid $45.99 for a room – with tax the total came to $52.11. Another reason is that the rooms are reasonably secure. Unlike most motels, where room access is directly from the outside, any intruder would have to pass by the front desk to get to you. The back doors are only opened with a room key. The added security gives extra piece of mind. Oh – when I told the manager that because of my hip surgery I cannot negotiate stairs very well, let alone lug suitcases up them, he upgraded my room at no additional charge. That’s very nice. They do provide a continental breakfast beginning at 6:00 a.m. if you need some carbs to get you started in the morning. So, it’s a reasonable place to stop off for a night, or longer if you want to catch the local sights and events. BTW, you may get a better room rate is you call them direct instead of going through Expedia, Trivago, etc.

We arrived very late at night and were very tired. The desk clerk was pleasant and very quick in checking us in. Even though it was late (midnight) there were doors slamming and it was hard to sleep as walls and doors seemed very thin. I will say the bed was comfortable and pets are allowed for $10. The waffles in the morning were very good and the morning desk clerk also very nice.

It is slightly more expensive and slightly nicer than the other roadside accommodations. It seems like they are remodeling, but my room was fine. They offer an acceptable free breakfast with waffles & toast etc. Yogurt would have been nice.
