Hotel seems to be used for section 8 housing. Not everyone’s cup of tea for an overnight stay. Policy of $100 deposit for a one night stay. Property is rundown, dark and dirty. There are better choices in Gainesville.
Started with not so clean room, felt very itchy; some had peed in the tub; bathroom floor was dirty and greasy; stove was rusty and looked to be a possible fire hazard; people smoking weed on our floor and down on the ground floor; look to be drug deals happening in parking lot; walking down stairs and walked past an unsavory character with a knife sitting next to him; very bad parking of other cars(either to close, slanted parking or parking across the parking spaces; stayed 7 days and no maid service (was told it doesn’t happen until after 7, but you have to come get towels or linen); called go towels and was told to come down, when got there got the third degree about calling too late, when I was out all day working and just got in from work; had someone peeping into window, face up against the glass looking into our room; come to hotel about the third night and cops were there handling a situation on the floor below us; trash left outside people’s doors for days; rats running around digging in the trash left outside rooms, walkways and parking does not look maintain or cared for in quite sometime; oh and the toilet doesn’t work properly, would flush, then have to reflush and then reflush again because the water wouldn’t go down and/or it kept running all night/day unless we keep flushing until it stops! The worst hotel I have ever stayed and very disappointed with my visit.
The staff was nice and did what they could. They wanted to charge me 25 dollars for an early check in at 30 minutes before time (the had rooms clean). I had to sleep on a box spring. The room could have been cleaner. I found hairs in bath room, trash in the corner on the floor, trash behind the night stand. The first room the TV did not work. I will NOT stay there again even if you paid me.
Room was not ready by check-in. When I returned, computer system was down no check-in was possible. I travelled from Colorado and needed to get ready for an event. Staff did not know when computers would be up. Returned again, no staff in office. Left and stayed at a place with reliable computers.
The place was horribly dirty. It had garbage in the waste cans from prior guests, the floors were filthy and had not been vacuumed with french fries, leaves and dirt everywhere. The refrigerator was disgusting with mold and rust.
When I arrived, the staff that checked me in was very polite. I got to my room however and was shocked to find that it hadn’t been fully cleaned. There were no blankets on the bed, just a fitted sheet and pillows. The bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
The property is a complete mess, no water supply to the toilet at check-in. Broken lightbulbs, hanging out of the socket, lampshades, crushed, hair all over the restroom, old, wet, washcloth in the shower, not from the hotel. Old shampoo container left in sink, etc. Wirst place I have stayed in.
The room had not been cleaned. Trash cans fun, dresser full of clothes, a random flip flop and brush, no soap, no toilet paper, Dirty table/counter tops. Not sure how this met any kind of housekeeping standard.
Hotel is unsafe! The smoke detector was missing from the ceiling with exposed wiring dangling from the hole. The door did not seal to floor or door frame and outside people could see into the room. The condition of the door lock was questionable; it was loose and wobbled on the frame. When closed and deadbolted the door would still shift back and forth quite a bit in the door frame. The entire room had a terrible odor of clove cigarettes. Nothing in the room was clean; the floor, especially, was absolutely filthy. The refrigerator (which was empty and I did not use it) began leaking water onto the floor. When the water was wiped up with a towel the white towel was jet black and covered in dirt/mud. The toilet flushed both too much and not enough! The toilet would continuosly flush and I had to jiggle the handle for a couple of minutes to coax it into stopping. The flush was so weak that the toilet clogged after blowing my noise several times.
Upon checking in, I wanted to add an additional day to my stay. This seemed to confuse the receptionist but she twice assured me I was fully booked. When I arrived at my room at 11pm, the door was propped wide open, the room completely dark with poor outside lighting. After some internal debate, I checked the room to make sure it was safe. The room itself was filthy and reeked of smoke, likely why the door was wide open. The carpeting and bedding appeared old and dirty. The bathroom toilet seat has unknown stains, a bare wire was hanging from a socket and touching the metal hand support bar. The tub faucet had been ripped out of the moulding and then caulked back into place. As a result, it and the shower were unusable. I tried twice with two different receptionists to ensure I was booked for 2 nights: 11/26 @ 11pm and 11/27 @ 9am. Both times they confirmed that both nights were paid for and nothing further was required. The receptionist did run a credit card for the second night. The second receptionist reset my keycard for both days. There was no problem at all until I called reception on 11/28 @ 9:30pm to complain about the internet being down. Reception demanded that I present my ID, not payment. This was all after coming in and out of the hotel several times that day. Since internet was down I soon fell asleep. At approx 10:15 reception began harassing me with calls accusing me of not being checked in. Despite checking in twice over two days with two different staff.
There was no one there in the lobby at 11:30 and they took my reservation and gave it to someone else
No room available
Our large family needed a hotel due to a water leak in our home. We reserved 2 rooms next to each other. While I unpacked groceries, my husband opened the nightstand drawer and found a used drug straw, roll of aluminum foil, zippo lighter, misc cords, and scratch off tickets. Looking deeper in the room we found rat droppings on top of the fridge, dirt and white powder in the drawers and dead roaches under the sink. We took pictures and went down to the office to cancel rooms and the clerk wasn’t even concerned or shocked and stated she didn’t need to see any pictures. Made me call orbitz to cancel my reservation. For the reviews it has the place was gross.
Nothing run down did not stay. Left and stayed somewhere else
The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I had a maintenance issue which was quickly resolved.
Great location. Hotel closed to VA hospital, university and great restaurants. Available kitchen. Friendly staff.
The property had no pool and no ice machine at all.

Dear John, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. While we are pleased that you loved our front desk associate's hospitable service, we are sorry for the cleanliness issues with your guest room and any oversight on our part. We are sure this resulted from miscommunication between our Housekeeping and Front Office Departments since a suite should only be available for occupancy once the cleaning process is complete and a supervisor inspects it. We assure you that what you experienced is unacceptable by our standards and will take adequate measures to correct this. We do hope you will stay with us another time so we can provide you with a much more satisfying experience.Sincerely,Hotel Management
