The overall impression is, that the place needs an upgrade. The steps of the stairs in the annexe (superior!) room were partly broken. The towels very small and very thin. No cotton-balls etc. were being provided (superior room!). There was only one bar-keeper looking after the whole area of restaurant and bar. She worked hard, but she couldn't keep up with the demand.
Staying here now. Room is ok, albeit a bit small. Advertising there's a fitness room is a bit of an over-statement. MIniature room without oxygen, but with a treadmill, a stationary bike and an elliptical trainer. Well - for me, that's not really a fitness centre; and this was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. The room was like a sauna when I entered. Had to open the balcony door for 10 minutes for it to be reasonably tempered. Weird. I arrived late, and wanted a dinner at the restaurant. I went for a starter of bread spreads. I was expecting a selecting of cured meats and some nice bread. Instead I got 4 semi-boring pieces of bread, pre-spread with what I think was: - A spicy mayo - Liver paste - Ham salad - Tzatziki None of them any good - I only ate half of it. For mains I had the chicken with breaded chicken and tartare sauce. The chicken was ok - good, but not great. The tartare sauce not very good either. The salad, however, was inedible. Way too sweet - I had to send it back. It came back wihtout dressing - but the waitress gave me a combined flask of oil and balsamic vinegar. I found it a bit rude - shouldn't the chef be able to compose a well-tasting dressing himself? Anyway, I wanted to start with the vinegar. But it had gone stale - and couldn't even leave the bottle, as it was nothing but vinegar residue. Disgusting. I asked the waitress what was wrong. Without apologizing she came back with a new flask of balsamic vinegar - which she wanted to open at my table. At this point, this salad had been given enough of a chance - and I just asked her for the bill. I paid full price - for a meal I had about half of. As a side note the salad was quite late in arriving. Of the two elevators - one was malfunctioning. The other was so slow that I abandoned waiting for it - as it was easier to walk the two floors downstairs. What a disappointment.
The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and service. Great beds and super breakfast. Good ventilation, quiet hotel. I would recommend this hotel for any business trip. The towels, however, were too small. Ask for bigger ones on arrival.
A decent business hotel. Clean, solid, and with apples at the reception desk! Good breakfast buffet and a restaurant/bar with average (salmon) to excellent (butternut squash soup) food. Unfortunately, understaffed. While checking out, at about 8:30 am -- an expected popular time for business travel -- there was only one person working reception and checking out took much longer than it should have.
I use this hotel as it’s round the corner from the office. It’s a bit old fashioned and the rooms are dated and Teutonically cold (they have less carpet and more laminate flooring). Beds a little lumpy and the rooms are poorly lit (take a head torch). Double room just had 2 singles pushed together with 2 single duvets. The towels are thin and need replacing, small expense that has big effect - for me at least. Room 102, the taps only let you have a shower. Breakfast buffet was OK but hot options were luke warm and they need a new toaster (4 slots, 1 doesn’t work at all, one does just one side - maybe that’s intentional?). Staff a bit formal, as I say, all a bit old fashioned.
I picked this hotel based on available AC in the hotel (it's not often to find AC in hotels in Germany). The hotel is very nice, rooms are spacey and very stalish. No AC anywhere except in your room. AC in my room gave up and we were very happy to move to another room with working AC! The breakfast is wonderful and included in the stay. It's about 15 minutes walking from the central station so I had to take a taxi with 3 bags. I would definitely recommend this place, we enjoyed it, thank you!
Awesome terrace/garden to have a decent coffee at, delicious breakfast with German specialities and friendly service, central location within Westend close to the central train station with additional parking garage (below DZ bank). Loved the rooftop terrace with its view and the conference rooms with daylight. Enjoyed our stay, thanks for having us, see you next time.
Friendly and welcoming staff Very clean and pleasant hotel in the heart of Frankfurt's business district Reasonably priced offering fantastic value for money Would definitely recommend and revisit in future
Great rooms, central location and great price. Very elegant deco interiors, helpful and friendly staff, the breakfast room has a great variety in a luxurious room, highly recommend for value for money. The restaurant to dinner closed at 9pl, very silly indeed, it should stay open to guests for longer, however the stylish bar is open until late.
Very nice staff and thy are giving a good service, you can always make a chat at the bar, and all the rooms are big and very nice room, my favored place to stay in FFM, central and walking distance to everything.
