This was one of those magical hotel experiences that you just can’t stop thinking about. I didn’t really use any amenities, but the staff was phenomenal. I felt like Cinderella getting ready for the ball every day!
The rooms in this hotel are great. The location is great. Jimmy's Bar is great. Nothing but great things to say. It is directly across the street from the Frankfurt-Messe and good proximity to many great restaurants.
Great hotel in excellent location, close to Frankfurt Messe, Skyline plaza and Frankfurt Train station. Walking distance to most tourist attractions in Frankfurt. Rooms can be a little small , but this is europe. The suites are excellent and complimentary mini bar drinks a nice touch. Staff very attentive and service excellent. Breakfast buffet excellent .
All would have been great if the bed was of good quality, I couldn't sleep at all, AT ALL, because I was falling on the sides and there was a metallic bar in the middle of the bed pushing my back. Leading to uncomfortable middle and sides. I spent the night to try to fix it finally, I had to put towels under the matress to make it flat. But the hardness of the matresses are so high that I finally couldn't sleep at all. When I finally decided to call the reception to get some help to get a more comfortable bed, they answered that it was too late to help and that I would have to wait for next shift at 7AM to get help. The night was over then. No sleep. No help in a 5 stars hotel. After a check, Hotel considered that there is no flaw with the bed. I have doubts about their double check. As a compensation, they offered an equivalent to 10% discount which is not really representing the loss of performance. It is important to sleep well especially when the day after you get a business day visiting the trade fair "Light+building" which needs your kindness and attention to every visitor. Last bad item: the TV is really of poor quality with falling cables and no french, no english other than BBC news... poor for foreigners. Useless. The service room (Bar and fruits were really nice), the breakfast and meal was of good quality not the highest but we are in Germany, I never had the chance to eat very well in Germany although I lived two years in Germany. So for Germany it is very good. For sure the Villa Hammerschmiede was even of better food quality. The shower was really great!! (Devon&Devon) They kindly proposed me to keep my bag during the day after. They upgraded the room but would the other have had a better bed ;-) WiFi was good. Its situation is GREAT for the fairs! And the Alter Oper & the nice Palmeraie are not far either. Conclusion, maybe the junior suite 42 was an unlucky one and everything could have been fine with a good bed. I hope this honestly reflects the stay
The great reviews of this property surprise me. It feels nothing like a five star hotel. The decor, service and overall feel is average. The hotel is dressed up to resemble an old European grand hotel, but it isn't authentic. The place has a "We're trying to be very fancy!" feeling, though the rooms are drab, awkwardly designed and the beds/sheets are uncomfortable. It reminded me of the type of hotel you have to stay in when you attend a wedding - in a town where there are no other choices. Our Executive Junior Suite room was clean, the staff smiled a lot and the breakfast buffet was big. Beyond that, I don't see the appeal when Frankfurt has many other hotels to choose from!
A presticious and luxury hotel, located in the center of Frankfurt. the service is just like in those king palace. And when you get inside the restaurant you immediately understang that you enter a royal environement and it's true because the hotel is own by a member of the Royal family of England. Don't miss to go to the Jimmy's, wich is the older piano bar by in the city, there is live music 7/7 till 3 am. You will enjoy yourself for sure.
I frequently stay here on business trips, and the hotel and its staff always make me feel at home. This starts with the incredibly friendly staff, the clean and lovingly prepared rooms, the great gym and sauna and the amazing breakfast buffet. But it doesn’t end there. Everyone on duty always has a genuine smile for you every time you come across a staff member, and the staff are not just friendly and polite, but human. From the moment you walk in, you feel taken care of. I am looking forward to my next stays. After a busy work day, it’s always wonderful to arrive here.
Very nice stay in Frankfurt. The location is Excellent and the service of very high level. We were a family suite at the first floor and we enjoyed having the kids next door. The breakfast is very nice and the food well varied.
This Grand Hotel is located hardly fifty metres from the station, the reception is manned by a very friendly and efficient team “ always with a smile and ready to help” the hotel has very spacious rooms, a great buffet for breakfast in a rather grand hall. In the evening after dinner pay a visit to Jimmy’s Bar and try out their Jimmy cocktail it is a great experience.
Not too far from the Central station and in front of the Messe, great style, a hotel with personality. Rooms are spacious with big bathrooms, excellent breakfast and attentive service. Good gym facilities, will definetely consider it again for the next business trip to Frankfurt
