Very nice property across from the Messe. Very nice room with lovely bathroom. Friendly staff but not very knowledgable and in fact gave us quite confused and inaccurate information. Breakfast is only buffet. Room service breakfast on the morning of our checkout was wrong but could have been nice if it had been correct. Because it is an expensive and somewhat pretentious hotel it should be much better, and certainly could be. Our room looked out onto a dumpster which was being loaded very early on one of the mornings, so I would ask for a quiet room.
"cons" the fitness area and the spa leave to be dersired (fitout, clealiness and level of service), unacceptable wait time when trying to reach any services by phone, unstaffed at the reception, managed to charge 85 euros for 6 1-little bottles of evian water while at the same time "offering" the entire mini bar, the menu and quality of food in the lounge bar is substandrad (would be the same for room service as far as i understand, but not sure) "pros" exec room is pretty confy, heated floors in the bathroom did help at the end of October, some members of staff do try to be helpful when it comes to booking tickets for shows and concerts but did sound and look surprised at the request
I came to Frankfurt on a business trip, was only there for one night. All of the staff was extremely helpful, answered my numerous questions, etc. This is a very luxurious hotel, I felt like royalty in the suite that gave me as an upgrade! I will stay here again, the next time I am in Frankfurt.
This hotel is excellent we had a truly wonderful experience. The staff are professional and courteous . Breakfast was excellent with a fantastic array of fresh dishes. Jimmys bar was very entertaining and the music was top class.Rooms and spa were excellent. We will be back next time in Frankfurt.
I have stayed at the Hessischerhof every year for the past 9 years during the annual October bookfair. I walk in the doors and it is as comfortable as being in my own home, if my home was as gorgeous and comfortable as they are. Just PERFECT!
Grand Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt is known as one of the best hotel in Frankfurt. I just had to explore and experience this hotel myself and I can definitely say that it deserves its good reputation. Making part of the Leading hotels of the World, Grand Hessischer hof offers a very high quality level. The hotel is located in the city center, near the central train station. Whether you are in Frankfurt for shopping, sightseeing or businesses purposes, everything is nearby… Very convenient! Did you know by the way that the nearby famous Frankfurt Messe is the third-largest trade fair in the world? The Grandhotel Hessischer Hof is located directly across the trade fair grounds. I stayed in many hotels in Frankfurt already, but this one definitely has one of the better locations! When I entered the hotel, I immediately knew that our stay here would be a great one. The hotel has a great history. Did you know that the hotel is owned by the Hessian princely family? The grand lobby is stylish with beautiful art works and furnishings. Staff made us feel welcome right from the beginning. From the comfortable seating areas to the efficient check-in procedure, everything went smoothly and ultra friendly right from the beginning. With a total of 121 rooms and suites, the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof isn’t a very large hotel which is why they offer a very personal service to each guest. The superior room we stayed in was large and ultra luxurious. All rooms are decorated with high quality materials. The lines on the king sized bed were great! The room actually felt like a junior suite to me with an entrée, nice couch and large desk. Other highlights in the room are the complimentary minibar and complimentary shoeshine service! The marble bathroom was very comfortable featuring bath tub and separate shower. Grand Hessischer Hof’s toiletries were a plus! Love those… The Grandhotel Hessischer Hof has a spa area with sauna, steam room and a complete fitness center. Always nice to be able to make use of those facilities after a day in busy Frankfurt. The place was immaculately clean and staff was, again, very professional and kind. In most hotels, fitness centers are located in the basement of the hotel, but at Grand Hessischer Hof you can enjoy impressive panoramic views over Frankfurt. They even have a large terrace overlooking the surrounding areas. The hotel offers several dining options such as Jimmy’s Bar. This traditional bar is fun to hang out and is a Frankfurt instituation for more than 50 years with live piano music in the evenings and the most delicious cocktails. This is the place to be for a nice aperitif before enjoying a delicious meal at Restaurant Sèvres which is one the best restaurants in Frankfurt. This is also the place where they serve breakfast. Having breakfast at the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof is something to look forward to. The extensive buffet truly offers something for just everybody! Some highlights I experienced were the fancy à la carte options (a must try is their cheese-omelette, loved those!) and of course, a glass of champagne is the perfect start of the day! Grandhotel Hessischer Hof is one of a kind! I love every aspect of this place. It truly is a ‘grandhotel’ and staying here is a guarantee of a flawless stay in an ultra luxurious environment. You will love it!
This was my third visit to the Hessischer Hof and the service was exquisit as always. I'm never disappointed. I had a really comfortable stay. The Hotel has a Fitnessroom and a Sauna and Steamroom which is almost never used but is recommendable. I hope i can come back again soon
I've stayed in this hotel and liked it several times but my last trip was disappointing. I was told my room was recently renovated (room 105) but the aircon didn't really work - it was too hot to sleep - and the aircon grate was not flush to the ceiling. The room felt quite old and the view was rubbish. I had chicken caesar salad in the lounge area on arrival. The food was lovely but the atmosphere spoilt because concierge decided to make phone calls from the lounge when I was eating. It totally spoilt the atmosphere. I spent my dinner listening to him.
A beautiful hotel with classic decor -- friendly, efficient staff in all departments. Lighting in bathroom excellent for makeup for women travelers. Twin sinks and separate room for shower and for toilet. Bed was a bit hard but that is personal preference. Restaurant was beautiful and breakfast choices excellent. An overall plus experience!
Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, attentive staff and conveniently located. Did not see any defect that is of mention. We were able to walk from the hotel to the train station in about 15 minutes, plenty of venues for dinning nearby. Only spent one night however will try to use the hotel again when I return to Frankfurt.
