Fleming's Hotel Frankfurt-Messe4.0 out of 5.0

I stayed for 10 days so I was hoping that everything would be fine. The room was tidy, the service was excellent. The only thing which was weird was the open shower but I was prepared for this one as I saw some pictures and reviews before I booked this hotel. Furthermore, there is no smoking room so you have to stand outside of the hotel entry right on the street which was not very comfortable in bad weather or late hours. The place around the hotel isnt as bad as some people described, there were no drug dealers or criminals around, there was just a big traffic because it is on the corner of a crossroad. I can recommend this hotel :)
Nice hotel. Rooms good in size, a bit peculiar to have the shower so open. You have to be comfortable with the person you’re staying with. Staff very friendly!! Breakfast was good however a bit over crowded and the breakfast area a bit too small. Only a few minutes walk to/from the railwayststion.
Positive Side: The hotel is very simple but very clean. In some sense, it also has the modern touch on it, specifically on the bathroom section of the room (just looks modern). The wifi speed is tremendously fast, good for gaming if you kinda bring your laptop along and get a bit bored with the TV program. The staff is very great and very very kind to the guest, breakfast session is also nice, simple breakfast but with quite some various options of the choice from cold to warm. The beverage option in your room is also presented at a very friendly price (which is not too expensive), this makes the whole experience that you can enjoy every aspect during your stay in the hotel, perfect for the business stay or weekend trips. Negative side: Although the location is very good and close to the station, somehow the area doesn't look safe (intimidating), a lot of drunk people, sometimes looks like a gang member, we experienced this because we walk from station to the hotel at night (due to our flight arrival). But I think this is an issue for the City Mayor of Frankfurt on how they can improve their city impression to the tourist who stayed around the train station, perhaps deploy more police checkpoint in the area or something (to make the area feel more secure). To avoid experiencing this, we took the tram to 1 stop from station to the hotel the next day. In the hotel itself, if you stay at the room 115, you can easily hear the engine when the lift goes up and down, so perhaps they don't have sound dampener. I personally don't mind and can sleep nicely, but if you are one of those people who are very sensitive to noise, watch out.
Nice hotel close to Frankfurt main station, making it easy for side/day trips. The hotel staff was pleasant and very helpful. The room was adequately sized and comfortable. Morning breakfast was tasty.
I spent 2 nights here on business and cho see here on the basis of a colleague's recommendation. The approach is somewhat unprepossessing..a busy street near a frantic intersection not far from the rail station. By the time we got there (7pm) the car park was full. Check-in was quick, friendly and efficient. The decor is modern and bright..the reception area is a little cramped but the bar and restaurant is welcoming. The lift is tiny and takes an age to arrive, the corridors are brown and non descript. My room was lovely, spacious, airy, bright and well equipped. A large comfy bed, big tv, force and tea, a fridge (expensive!) And a large ensuite encased in a glass enclosure...all very chic. Breakfast was efficient and had a reasonable selection..the staff are friendly and ammenable. Overall a good experience..I would stay again
While other conference attendees headed home I picked up my wife at the airport and we spent the weekend in and around Frankfurt. I wanted some place in town because I like to experience what the locals do. In this case, they live in a large dirty city and the experience was somewhat akin to 1980’s NYC (which I am familiar with). The big problem was parking. The hotel claims to have its own parking but when I asked about it they said they were "pretty full.” This suggests they rent their prime parking spots to paying customers and hotel guests are left to fend for themselves. Perhaps I should have pushed a little more. We found parking underneath the Bahnhof, about two blocks away. Relatively easy to get to, but Euro 29/day. You have been warned. The room on the third floor was nice. Bed was closer to a full than a queen, only two pillows despite asking for two more. The typical German bed had a single down-filled blanket for each person. Unlike other hotels in the more rural towns this one had A/C…..not really powerful, but A/C nonetheless. The bathroom consisted of an “aquarium” shower….all glass and nothing left to the imagination. If you look like a young Brad Pitt it’s one thing….if you look like Jackie Gleason it’s another. A single sink had reasonable counter space. The toilet was a cramped little space that barely gave you room to sit down…and it was almost impossible to pull your pants up without hitting your head. The breakfast, on the other hand, was pretty good. They offered eggs and (salty) bacon, prepared several ways, in addition to various meats, cheeses, fruit, smoked salmon, etc. Fresh cappuccino rounded out the meal. The hotel was only a couple blocks away from a street filled with open cafes and decent food. A few more blocks got you to the river. If someone asked me where to stay I would probably tell them to look elsewhere. There were other options in this price range that were better rated. Not recommended.
If you are a frequent visitor to Frankfurt Trade shows , then you will find this hotel to be very suitable .Location wise , walking distance to the fairgrounds , more walking and you are at the main train station .There is a Tram station right across the entrance of the hotel if you prefer not to walk . Food is good , reception friendly and helpful . They have several types of rooms , just make sure you have the right room , as some rooms have only one small window ( I had to upgrade mine) .One important issue to mention is the glass shower cabinet located in the middle of the room , as this may cause inconvenience to some people .
Fleming's Hotel, Messe is located only 5 minutes walk from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (city main train station), although one of the U-Bahn (subway) station entrances located within 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Many restaurants, cafes and mini super markets are located in the surrounding area. Skyline plaza (a big mall) is located 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Hotel was very clean and provided a good breakfast spread. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. To enter the hotel you need to carry your bags 6-7 steps up, so if you have big/heavy bags you may need to seek help from reception staff. As in the other hotels in this area (we stayed in two hotels), shower cubicle in the room is separated from toilet and located within the bedroom area. However, shower cubicle is made of plain transparent glass sheets and you may have an issue as others in the room could see you when you are having shower. Overall we had a pleasant and comfortable stay in Fleming's, Messe.
The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast is delicious.. breakfast was included in the price. its a 3 min walk to the main station and about 15-20min walk to the city center.. the hotel is clean and the service is excellent. There is however a smell in the staircase area.. On the whole a very good experience!
Everything in this hotel is great the staff are friendly the food is amazing the cleaning this is great and the service is beyond the only downside of it is having the Tram next to it. You can hear the train every time with passes especially if you're on the lower floors. It didn't bother me while sleeping although I'm a light sleeper.
