We spent two nights/one day in Frankfurt on our way home to upstate NY from Dubrovnik, Croatia (because why not add on one day and see an extra new city when it also helps you avoid taking 4 planes in one day to get home). We picked this hotel because a. I stay at a lot of Choice Hotels when traveling for work and figured I should just get some more points and b. the location was very near the train station and we wanted to make it easy on ourselves to get to and from the airport with little hassle. The location was good for what we wanted. It was easy to find when we got there. Check-in and out were easy. The room was small but clean and served our needs (the colorful light above the bed is weird, but fun). The bedding was strange – the double bed was the usual European hotel style of two twin mattresses (not very comfortable ones) put together in a large base, but the bedding itself was just two twin size duvets. No other bedding for either person. No extra blankets. The pillows were also quite small and not very comfortable. I was glad we weren’t trying to sleep on those beds for more than two nights. There were a fair number of restaurants near the hotel, which was good as we didn’t have to travel far to find dinner or breakfast. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay at this hotel, but if we were travelling through Frankfurt again, I would certainly consider it as it met our needs, but I'd look at the other options in the area too. But I’d ask for extra pillows at the front desk when checking in.
Nice hotel situated in the center of the city near to train station (5 min walk), clean, modern room, good breakfast. I would like to mention the 2 reception guys as well they been really professional and welcoming.
Spacious single room in very quiet hotel , 5 mins walk from frankfurts main railway station ( hauptbahnhof). It was clean , warm , easy to find. the surrounding area is a bit scruffy but it's great to dump your stuff and take a 10 min stroll into the heart of the city . The staff were friendly , happy to speak English and breakfast was typical choice of eggs , cheese ,meats , fruit and pastries for a reasonable 11 euros . I had a good night sleep as it was really quiet . Not the most modern of hotel but clean and comfy .
I was stuck on the fifth floor. My room was hot, couldn't sleep because of it. Shower had warm water after like 30 min. And the Wifi is appalling. Even if you manage to get connected it only stays connected for 5 minutes, very akward if you're in Frankfurt for business. The only thing redeeming it is the location. About 1 to 2 minutes to the hauptbahnhof
My husband and I stayed at this 'Comfort" Hotel for two nights in mid October 2016 - what a waste of money, this is probably one of the worse hotels we have ever stayed at, we would have changed hotels but it was the last days of our trip and nothing else in the inner city area seemed available at such short notice. There is no lobby to speak of; just a small counter edged into a corner opposite the front door, two badly angled steps to the lift (very small) leading an equally unimpressive room. Basic is the only word to describe it; and that is doing it a favour. It was clean but Small and lacking even the minimal 'Comforts'. One can sit on the toilet and admire the view of the backyard of the chinese restaurant below and its neighbours. The coffee machine did not work, the room furnishings are of the poorest quality and the breakfast at the adjoining Chinese restaurant was Ordinary to say the best. Our travel agent had no idea it was in the red light area of Frankfurt and had chosen it on earlier use of other Comfort Hotels which were good if not great but this was So Disappointing. Apart from the Red Light area, the location was very convenient to the railway station (we travelled to Frankfurt by train). We ate three meal at O'Reilly's Irish Pub about two blocks away - excellent, simple pub food at a very good price. Also enjoyed a delightful dinner at an Italian restaurant in Kaiserstrasse (sorry, cannot remember the name). DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE AVAILABLE.
Room is decent size with tea & coffee machine and neat mini bar extra charge and a nice bath tub to relax nearby some brothels but overall on the hotel side its all restaurants & cafe's breakfast is extra
A very convenient location, with a clean room and fine bathroom. Keep your expectation level and this hotel will suit your need. The central train station is close and a short walk will reveal the pleasures of Frankfurt. On the other hand, if you are bothered by a red light district with all of its foibles, then do not stay here...A shop across the street to purchase a SIM card, and a convenience store for snacks around the corner. Not so good, but not so bad.
Great location a couple blocks from the train station and museum row. Neighborhood is lively and diverse (yes, there is a "Sex Inn" on the next block, but mainly it's restaurants, bars, cafes, jewelry stores, etc.). Slept with the windows open and didn't find it particularly loud (not perfectly quiet either though, of course). The room was small & came with a fan (thank goodness - A/C is a rarity in Germany), seemed clean though there were a few aesthetic flaws (carpet stain, imperfect spackle job on the wall). The bathroom, came with soap, nail file, shower cap... had a small balcony(!?!). Breakfast was extra so we didn't get it. Service was basically friendly. Can't beat the price. Would probably stay there again if in the area and looking for a deal.
I booked via an Airline app. I am staying regular in Frankfurt and near railwaystation. But I never had such bad room for a price, which was even more than average (for other hotels in this area) in off-peak season. No table with chair to work, not enough bulbs to have light in the room. A fair price should be not more than 30 Euro per night for such low standards
I was here once before 3 years ago, rebooked mainly for its convenient location to the haupbahnhof. Same as before, rooms and linens were clean and it was quiet, which is really all I ask for in a hotel. I somehow managed to score a room in the corner with a balcony. The room is awkwardly shaped, but the balcony is worth it. My only complaint was no Wi-Fi in my room. I had to go down to the lobby every time I wanted to go online, the staff was friendly and never seemed to mind me hanging out down there with them with my laptop. If I come back to Frankfurt again, I'll definitely come back!
