I had a spacious double room with a terrace. Breakfast options were great. If you enjoy walking and discovering new neighbourhoods then the location is fine. Personally for a weekend trip would have preferred a more central location.

Nothing good No room available for me The staff was helpful but we ended up with splitting room Horrible experience Never again I would like to have some or all money back And is definitely not a 4 star

We stayed at San Gallo Palace for 8 nights as our base in Florence. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. The staff was excellent and very attentive to our needs and requests. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a solid mixture of baked goods, deli meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurts, and cereals with fresh coffee and juices. The only (minimal) downside is the location. For a short stay, the 20 minute walk to the city center would not be a big deal, but by day 6, we wished we had something more convenient to sights and a wider variety of restaurants. The bus system mitigated this slightly, as there are multiple stops convenient to the hotel. Overall, San Gallo Palace is a great value for the money, with an excellent staff, but be prepared to walk or use the bus system to reach everything Florence has to offer.

Great hotel and staff. The location was quiet and close enough to town to walk. Great experience overall!

Really nic ehotel clean rooms, excellent service from the guy of front desk, nice bar, close to everything

San Gallo is a bit out of town. You will need to use the bus or pay 15 euros to go into town. A very classy hotel. The bartender is simply the best in all of Italy. In all, experience was positive. Breakfast was amazing. Upon arrival, the hostess was very icy and inflexible.

Nice hotel. Wonderful staff, very accommodating with anything we needed. They even got us late reservations at an incredible restaurant. The only negative was poor air-conditioning-- probably not an issue most of the time but we were there in a heat wave

I had a very good experience with staff they were very helpful and informative

Great location with a short walk (approx 15 mins) to the Doumo. Staff is attentive and always helpful with suggestions and answers. Many bus lines run through the hotel so it's very convenient in a quiet neighborhood. Only two complaints I have is the temperature of the room is centralized adjust ie at the front desk and tv channels reception are terrible for the international programs such as CNN. Overall, it's a great hotel to rest ones tired feet and have a good rest.

Is quite, 10 minutes walking from Galeria del Academia.

We appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members that we had contact with. The breakfast was of a nice variety and a pleasant start to the day. It was the best offering of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip. We appreciated the offer of refills of the wonderful cappuccinos. This is the only hotel that offered refills. Much of the historical center was in easy walking distance, but when we were tired from walking, it was easy to return to the hotel by bus. We enjoyed getting gelato in the neighborhood behind the hotel and sitting in the neighborhood park to enjoy it while people watching, locals with their children, grandchildren, and pets.

So sorry for this review. We had a problem with the room that was assigned to you and that's why we tried to solve by giving you 2 different rooms instead of just one big. We think that 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms are more than equivalent to compensate the Suite inconvenience
