Nice Hotel. Short 10-15 minute cab ride from the airport and a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall I would stay here again.
The GOOD: SUPER LOW PRICE - I think I caught a break on the vacancy lotto - there had to be lots of rooms available and the hotel was willing to fill them for a rock bottom price on the night I selected. I tried to add a night before or after and the second night was 40% higher (still an OK price, just not as low as the first). Read elsewhere that this hotel sees a lot of cruise / travel tour business. I am sure they receive a lot of business travelers and flight crews as well. A bus pulled up for the following night when I went to retrieve my backpack before departing the city. LARGE WELL-KEPT ROOMS - For the price, I was expecting a postage stamp sized room. NOT SO! Huge room. Very clean. Bathroom was 4x the size of the bathroom of my Rome hotel. QUICK EFFICIENT CHECK-IN - Front desk attendant was friendly and knowledgeable and checked me in quickly. The BAD: DISTANCE FROM SITES - Florence is a walkable city and the distance between the hotel and city center is not too bad (maybe 15-20 minutes). But if you are going beyond the city center to some of the museums or other sites, it may be a bit far by foot for some travelers. LOBBY AREA RESTROOM CONDITION - The lobby area restroom located a half level below was in poor shape around the toilets. From what I heard, not uncommon for public restrooms in Florence, but expected better here. FORGETFUL NIGHT STAFF - Made a request for more shampoo and body wash that was never delivered. OVERALL - VERY HAPPY!!!
Modern 4 star property on Piazza Veneto 15 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio. Could not ask for better location or property.
The hotel is absolutely perfect in almost every way beside location. It's a bit of a walk from the Firenze SMN station, but the path is pretty well light and seems to be pretty populated even at night. Rooms are clean as can be, EXCELLENT breakfast buffet, and the most delightful staff to interact with. If you don't mind the walk, definitely look into this hotel.
First time I stayed at this hotel a few years ago was great and had the old furnishings before the renovation to a more modern décor ( I preferred the old) I can just turn the corner and walk all along the Arno river till I reach Ponte Vecchio and go to all the stores, monuments and museum. I also don't try to miss out on enjoying a fantastic meal at my favorite restaurant in Firenze which is called Tre Merli
The hotel is nice... Good size room, bed comfortable! A little far from the city center... We very much enjoy Breakfast!

I booked this hotel inatially, however, when I get there, the stuff told me the holtel is full and ask me to live in their other hotel one block away. the grand american NH, that hotel locat at a nice location, 15 minus walk to all the attraction. hotel stuffs are nice, but rooms are old, breakfast is nice.
