Brilliant location, a stones throw from the busy Dumo, but in a quieter square overlooking Santa Maria Novella with several restaurants dotted around. The square has evening buskers which adds to the atmosphere. The hotel is very clean and well managed. Breakfast ok but could be better..a bit samey after 4 days, eggs could be warmer. Staff pleasant enough. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but you are able to make one any time during the day at reception. No problems to report. A nice hotel in good location near to station and main attractions. Lovely 👍
We stayed for one night in this hotel. It was clean, well kept with informative staff. Like many downtown hotels it is damp but they maintain it well. A little bit of confusion about free breakfast as it insinuates it is free on the home page of the website, however, expedia has varied booking levels. We loved the location to shopping.
The Hotel Roma staff was fantastic. Very helpful and eager to serve their guests. The room we had over-looked the Piazza which made for great people watching from above. The room was clean, large, well laid out and very comfortable. The location was perfect for walking to just about all of the main Florence sites and museums. I'd highly recommend this hotel and would return in the future.
Located on Santa Maria Novella piazza so it is convenient to numerous restaurants and an easy walk to the Duomo and other tourist attractions. During our stay, there was singing in the piazza each night by various street performers which was a relaxing way to end the day. The lobby and sitting rooms were very ornate. Our hotel rooms were a reasonable size and even with outdoor temperatures in the upper 90's the hotel air conditioning was comfortable. The two elevators were small but we never had to wait long. Rooms were clean and had a refrigerator. The staff were friendly and helpful and not speaking Italian was not a problem. Breakfast buffet was small but very good. We definitely would stay again.
Stayed when holidaying in Florence for two nights with a friend. Easy check in and out. Good sized room with excellent bathroom. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Within walking distance to the SMN Firenze train station, Duomo and hop on/off - so able to get to all the sights with complete ease. Couldnt have asked for more !
Located short walking distance to the train in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Hotel Roma is a great option for Florence. Very friendly staff and nice accommodations our family room consisted of 4 single beds (two side by side). All of our other hotels were two rooms with a door in between. This was not a huge deal but with two teenagers who want to sleep in my wife and I were forced out of the room when we woke up. WiFi (although free as most are) was spotty at night (probably poor network design). A/C was not strong enough, I had to sleep most nights without a cover. We loved the location. It wasn't a primary attraction in Florence, so not terribly busy. Plenty of places to eat and grab coffee (real iced coffee in one of the breakfast shops). Irish pub was a great spot for a pint prior to turning in. Easily walkable to everything in Florence.
I've been part of Voyager Study Abroad program twice and we went to Florence twice and stayed in Hotel Roma twice! First of all, the staff are very helpful and accommodating ( Shoutout to Benedetta!! She's awesome!! she recommends the best places and very nice! ) We were a traveling group of 12. They definitely accommodated our needs which we are very thankful! They have nice and clean rooms. The location of the hotel is great too (walking distance to the train station & very close to the Florence Cathedral). One more thing... check out the rooftop no bar but it has the great view of Florence and the Cathedral. Definitely worth it! Try it in the evening they usually have music playing from the outside of the hotel too. You just have to ask the front desk for keys. 😉
We booked the hotel directly with the hotel thru email and it was incredibly easy as staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Our room was quiet, very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is within minutes of virtually anything you would want to see in the city. Breakfast buffet was good but special orders, such as fried eggs or omelets, were not available. We would certainly choose to stay here again should we return to Florence. Airport transportation can be arranged by the hotel staff although not directly connected with the hotel.
Great location in Florence, right on the square, near the train station, and down the street from Gilo's - a fantastic piano bar. The hotel concierge is very helpful for booking tours or any help. Our AC was okay, but they sent a fan up to our room to help.
Great hotel, in the heart of Venice Piazza Maria Novella, great location, renovated recently, rooms are spacious by European definition, clean, staff are friendly and courteous, I would highly recommend it stayed with family for three nights.
