The staff was nice enough, but the hotel rooms are extremely budget. We checked into a room that absolutely stunk of sewage in the bathroom and it was disgustingly overpowering in the entire room. The Front Desk moved us into a different room that thankfully smelled much better. The furnishings and décor was very dated and made the room appear dirty, even though it did seem to be very clean. I wouldn't stay again.
Hotel was clean and absolutely in the right place to easily walk to each tourist attraction. I will stay here again! The breakfast was great. Staff helped with several of my travel questions. Taxi found the place easily and a taxi arrived in 3 minutes after being called.
Stayed for two nights with two friends during Easter bank holiday. The location is excellent, it is very central and short walking distance of all the sights. Around the corner from the Piazza del Duomo. It is about 20 mins walk from the train station (Firenze S.M.Novela). We arrived at Pisa airport, took the Pisa mover to Pisa central station and got about an hour train to Firenze train station. The hotel itself is very old in decor. The sockets have not been updated to EU connections, you require a italy converter adapter. Reception wasn’t very helpful, we asked for some additional pillows and were refused them. He seemed to get irritated at our requests. The tap near the toilet constantly leaked water all over the floor. We had a courtyard side room, it was very very noisy all night, I think it may have locals but both nights we found it difficult to sleep because of all the shouting. The breakfast was ok, but left a lot to be desired. We loved our visit in Florence, easy to get around and excellent food. Would return and stay in the area but most likely in a different hotel.
Great front desk, very helpful. Breakfast was just bread and coffee but at least it was there. lots of things to do close by. The room a little dated but very clean. and Small. Not bad lodging for the price.
Pros: - Breakfast was decent compared with other European hotels of similar rating. I’ve stayed in plenty of other 3* hotels and had far less choice. - Perfectly situated for everything Florence can offer - Staff informative, friendly and professional - Clean, comfortable room - Met our expectations for the price Con: - Like any city centre, it can get a little noisy. I’m a light sleeper but to be honest it was only an issue for about two hours on our first night. Didn’t ruin our experience at all. People complain about being woken by the bells in the morning, but I loved it.
Amazing location but was really average comfort levels. I think this probably is the best you can get in central Florence for the price though. Would recommend. The breakfast is boring. Need improving. If you’re booking this because it offers breakfast don’t bother. But if it’s for location. You can’t beat it
My partner and I stayed in Albergo Firenze Match 2018. We had also visited Florence a year ago and we had quite an unpleasant experience with the previous hotel so we didn't know what to expect this time. When we arrived at the hotel all our worries vanished. The staff was helpful and kind, the room was very clean with all the amenities one might need and the breakfast buffet was rich enough to satisfy even the most demanding customer. The location? Just PERFECT! 3 minute walk from Santa Maria Del Fiore, 2 min walk from Piazza della Republica and 7 min walk from Piazza della Signoria and Galleria degli Uffizi. Definitely, I recommend it and will book again next time I'll visit Florence. :)
We were disgusted by this hotel! It’s only advantage was location as it was very central. We found a distinct stench emanating from our room - a combination of smoke (the patrons before us had clearly been smoking in the room) and toilet drain smell. Further the walls are extremely thin and you can here absolutely everything! I would NOT recommend this hotel for families as it appears as though lots of young, partying adults stay here (you’ll be able to hear them). The wifi is useless, you can not use it in your room. To get any sort of connection you need to stand by the door. Last but not least the breakfast was quite poor as it was very limited and only provided pastries and cereal (no bacon, eggs etc) and the receptionists were quite rude and unhelpful.
Great location just a few streets from the Doumo! Just off the street, alley is relatively quiet at night. Rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast is good but I wish the had a barista instead of just drip coffee. Only problem we had was that the wifi was very spotty, we had trouble getting it in our room and the router was right across the hall from us. I think it was so hard to get a signal because the building (like any where in Italy) is old and the walls were thick. Other than the wifi, I would highly recommend staying here!
Just back from 3 nights at Albergo and found it to be a nice place. It's location is great ( midway between the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery) all in all a great base to explore Florence. The continental breakfast was decent too
