Hotel Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio

On the Oltarno side of the river, this hotel is close to many major sights. The Uffizzi is a 5 minute walk, the Duomo perhaps 10 minutes. The accommodations are good, breakfast very tasty & generous, the rooms small but nicely decorated. We found the staff to be friendly.

We walked from the train station (about 20 minutes of enjoyable walking). The Hotel Pitti Palace is right on Ponte Vecchio--the heart of the city. The room was impeccable . We had breakfast buffet on the restaurant on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

CLean , comfortable hotel. Helpful staff. Breakfast included

excellent location, right on the entrance of the bridge. The room is very basic even the junior suites we booked, however it was an interesting experience sitting next to the window drinking coffee people watching.

It was everything I expected. Loved the location. Being at the Ponte Veccio meant you couldn't get lost. Everything was close by. Breakfast was very good although a little heavy on the sweet side verses healthy. I was on the 1st floor which I would not recommend because it was noisy. The room was very nice but no place to put your clothes except hanging in the closet. The staff was always helpful. The free wireless works fine, however, one needs a new username & password every 24 hrs which they neglected to tell me although it was in the fine print. That being said I would stay there again.

Extremely welcoming staff....attention to cleanliness ... Outstanding breakfast with wonderful home baked specialties!!! Lovely street near Pza Di Spagna.

Good: location and breakfast nice view from the top terrace Bad: very rude staff it was impossible to connect to the internet and the staff did not care small rooms

This hotel is located in the perfect spot from which to explore Florence. While the rooms are very basic, they are clean. The staff is very helpful and the rooftop restaurant (for breakfast in dinner) has good food and some of the best views in town. I travel to Europe often and this is one of those great European places that you don't find anywhere else. Perfect for what it is and very good value.

This was my first visit to Florence. It was important to find a hotel that was close to all the important attractions. I found that, with this hotel. It was safe, secure and felt like home. I will stay here again!

Location was perfect, literally steps from the Ponte Vecchio. The area is safe and clean. My room was small, but clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

To start off, the hotel states they are 10-minutes walking distance from the Train Station - it took us 45 minutes to get there - with our luggage! That was a bad way to start our trip, but hey, it was fun and definitely an experience! The hotel staff needs to be more friendly, as there really wasn't any type of "how, how's it going" type of communication. The location however, is perfect! You're literally steps away from Puente Vecchio, and there is also a supermarket across from the hotel, which can save you a lot of money when you're in need of refreshments/snacks. The room was just ok, nothing to brag about. The breakfast was good, as you have the view of the city. We chose this hotel because of its location, which is just perfect! You can't go wrong with the location as you are literally steps away from the Puente Vecchio, which leads you to the heart of the city!

I would recommend Pitti Palace to anyone staying in Florence. The location is perfect -- only a five-minute walk from the Uffizi. And it's only about a 20-minute walk from the train station. The breakfast on the top floor of the hotel was great with many selections. A minor annoyance: The mattress in the hotel wasn't the best, but by Europe standards, not awful. If I return to Florence, I will stay at Pitti Palace.

Terrific location to explore Florence. Parking garage just down the street. As long as you are staying at the hotel you can go into the historic area to get to the hotel...may cost you 1 euro. Oustanding breakfast on the terrace which is on top of the hotel.

We couldn't believe we were footsteps from the Ponte Vecchio. Such an excellent location. This hotel has been renovated and is modern, clean and lovely. Our room was small but comfortable with enough space to unpack. Our room was over an ally that had nighttime garbage pick-up so it was quite noisy with the window open (we needed it open as the a/c wasn't turned on yet) but my earplugs fixed the problem. Wonderful buffet breakfast every morning in a charming roof top room with amazing views!

I had a single room and it was small, but clean. Hotel is in a very good area to walk to all attractions in Florence. Area was safe, but a bit noisy. It was a great value and I would stay there again.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained, location right on the Ponte Vecchio amazing although potentially noisy for some, we didn't mind our corner room overlooking the crazy beauty of a Friday and Saturday night in Florence. Staff helpful overall, but reception was fairly disinterested and seemed constantly distracted..it's only May. Fridge and plastic cups in the room a bit limiting. Possibly a bit pricey overall but location amazing.

It was my first visit in Florence and the hotel is perfect as it is so close to one of the landmarks of the city, Ponte Vecchio. It is literally right next to the bridge so you will not miss it. The hotel staff was helpful and spoke very good English. The room we had was a double with two single twin beds. Not very spacious inside the room but clean. On the 6th floor where the restaurant located at has a balcony where you can have a good view of Duomo and the city.

The hotel is in an extremely convenient location. Walking distance to all the attractions. They advertise that it is located 7 meters from Ponte Vecchio and it is true. The room was very clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Room is a little on the small side and the bathroom tight but very clean and pleasant. outstanding view from the restaurant located on the last floor. Highly recommended.

I went to Florence with my 22 year old son to visit my daughter who is studying abroad. We had the most fantastic time! The hotel was is an absolutely perfect location. I went running on the banks of the Arno, and we could walk to anywhere we wanted to go, including all the major sites, and to the train station for our day-long journeys out of town. Highly recommended!!!!

The location cannot be anything other than perfect. The supermarket down the street, the nearby restaurants and the friendly staff made for a wonderful experience for my husband and two granddaughters. This was our fifth visit to Florence and it was by far our best.....thanks to this wonderful hotel! By the way, the breakfasts are a delight and the view is grand! Loved our week!

Arriving at the hotel. Big, clean room. Our view from the room. Right on Ponte Vecchio.
