Location of this hotels is as perfect as is possible. Across the main entrance of a train station Santa Maria Novella. Rooms are nice and specious. Breakfast rich and service excellent too. Well equipped meeting rooms just come above everything already mentioned...
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a short city break in Florence. The hotel was very easy to find as it's is just outside the train station. The centre of Florence is easy to get too about a 10min walk, it really is in a great location. The rooms are clean and are cleaned every day. The staff are all very pleasant and polite and are always on hand for any assistance. Whilst we were here we had an issue with our travel adaptor but the staff were able to assist in telling us where to buy a new one from. Yes you can hear traffic noise from the bedrooms but it isn't that bad but as it's on a main road this is to be expected. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Convenient location, just opposite main railway station. High floor room with balcony overlooking the great view. The breakfast selection was fine. The air conditioning was poor. Room is small and dated but not bad, overall stay was good. The housekeeping did not clean out the trash can, as shown the adding photos.
I believe is the best hotel by the train station, and overall a very good Hotel in Florence historic center. Good rooms, very good breakfast, modern and beautiful decor and a very good hotel bar. I recommend it.
I booked this hotel for a two nights, after I looked at the ad. Having seen pictures of the ground floor, I was under the impression this was a modern, nicely fitted out hotel. Unfortunately as you ascend past floor 1, everything goes down hill. The corridors are dated, with old carpet. However, my room was so incredibly dated, old and tiny. The safe was locked when I came in and couldn’t open it. I had to wait ages for someone to turn up. Location is not nice being next to train station. Next time I would stay in the historic part of Florence with a more character filled hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were part of a tour group and didn't hand pick the hotel ourselves but we were pleased with the updated décor and finishings of our room. The hotel was still completing some renovations during our visit put it didn't interfere with our experience really. I'd have no problem recommending this hotel!
At check in problem because room was not ready at 3 pm. So they proposed to change but i didn't like. finally i went back to the first one but loosed time. they forgot my baggages in luggage storage too. However staff was very kind and welcome. Room was very good with city view and breakfast very very good and rich. Location is ideal for visiting Florence, near to train station and center.
Centrally located hotel in walking distance to all the main sights Firenze has to offer. Friendly and warm staff - thank you Maurizio for the laughs! Upgraded to a room with a view, spotless with plenty of storage. Breakfast and coffee were excellent. Would definitely return and recommend.
We stayed in this hotel as part of our tour group so we did not have a say. The location was a good spot as we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in the city, walking back to the hotel late at night in front of the train station, I felt a little uneasy with my two children. We had two rooms in the recently renovated section (so new some rooms didn’t have official numbers on walls yet) . One room was stifling hot, like you couldn’t breath, unsafe hot. At first, they told us they could not move our room, but to check back after we were finished touring. When we returned it took multiple calls and 2 hours for them to come to our room, by this time it was after midnight and my child was sleeping. They then admitted the room was unbareably hot and would move us to another hotel. Mind you, my husband and other son were in a different room asleep and we were part of a tour. They did find a room for us the next day. Also, the breakfast in the basement was unappealing.
We stayed in this hotel from Dec. 23 to 26, 2017. The hotel was literally across the street (Via Luigi Alamanni) from the side entrance of the train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). We just crossed the street (around 7 meters wide) and we were at the door of the hotel. Because of its proximity to the train station, we did not have a hard time buying some grocery items (Conad Supermarket inside the station and a Carrefour Express around the corner on Via Santa Caterina da Siena). Mercator Centrale was around 800 meters away where we had nice pizza from Sud - La Pizzeria. It was our favorite pizza place during our vacation in Italy. We initially bought only 1 margherita pizza that we got to like it and we ordered 2 more! We went there on Dec. 23 and we wanted to go back on Dec. 25 but the whole market was closed. The cathedral was around 1.3 km away. We just walked going there and back to the hotel. The toilet and bath was not very spacious though there was a tub. The bidet was located beside the toilet bowl which I liked (versus facing each other). While our room had a safe with digital lock, we did not get to use it because the instruction was in Italian. While I had a Google translator on my iPhone, my phone could not read the text because it was dark inside the cabinet where the safe was located. While our room faced the train station, it was surprisingly quiet inside. Our room also had a ref which we got to use to store our grocery items. While there was WiFi, we did not get to use it because we preferred using our rented mobile WiFi hotspot. The elevator was quite small. It could accommodate only 2 adults at a time. Also we had to climb a short flight of stairs from the main lobby to the lobby where the elevator stopped. That meant we had to use a ramp with some difficulty to bring our big and heavy luggage up to the elevator lobby. I’ll probably consider again in this hotel if I were to visit Florence again.
