The room smelt of sewage. My clothes stunk for two days they should not rent these rooms out. We advised the staff. They let us have a free breakfast. If it had not been for the smell the room was ok. Very small bathroom and hard beds

Stayed for 3 nights. Firenzie SMN to Ambasciatori is a 5 minute walk. Upon arrival from the train, turn right to the exit & cross the street with rail tracks. Lobby is modern minimalist themed. When booking a month back, requested for a quiet room on the highest floor possible. Was given one on the 6th floor facing the train station. Room is tastefully interiored italian style with a lovely bathroom. Although much is to be desired on the workmanship such as the wallpaper installation. Soundproofing not too good. We could hear our neighbors conversations and noise of flushing toilets. Seems it is an old building & was renovated. Room is clean and pleasantly smelling fresh. Complete bathroom amenities, chargeable minibar, an SDB and coffee/tea pot offerred. Checked in Aug 23, no CNN. Checked out Aug 24 to go to Cinque Terre and requested for a room facing the bus station on our return Aug 25. To our surprise the room given was still the noisy side which is facing the railroad tracks/Firenzie station. No CNN, BBC, CNBC & Bloomberg the entire stay. Complained to reception on the 25th, she sends a bellboy who tried to navigate a remedy with the remote to no success. Breakfast is quite adequate but can be improved. Bacon & the same fruits for 3 days can be quite tiresome. Replenishing though is fast and efficient. Compliments to the breakfast staff who clean up tables quickly and are attentive to requests. On a side note, the tall caucasian male Manager in a suit & jeans of the Breakfast room should try to make a conscious effort in being pro-actively pleasant & friendly by greeting guests and not simply pretending they did not exist. Take bus 13 to Piazza Michael Angelo to experience the best panoramic views of Florence. To the bus stop,Turn right when exiting the hotel then a left after crossing the street. It is perpendicular to the hotel. The biggest selling point of this property is its location to the Firenzie SMN.

Across from the Train station is very convenient. also a few blocks from main attractions , Servise is great, room are good size and décor is classic chic , the breakfast is great for other meals I went to s small rest. next door it was amazing. The elevator in this hotel is kind of small and hotel lobby is always busy.

I would rate this hotel 5 star if only it had buffet lunch and dinner. The room was perfect, but I had a problem with the bed.... It was too soft, that I could not get comfortable. It had a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities and a balcony. The bathroom was a bit tiny but had everything in it that you would require. We took breakfast included and wow the breakfast buffet was really more than anyone can ask. The check in and out went smoothly with luggage being stored at no cost. Please note no parking facilities. It is located opposite the train station and within walking distance from all sites. If you don't feel like walking buy a bus/train ticket which you can use for 90min. Buy it at the farmacy at the trains station exit. Highly recommended

The hotel is 25 meters away from the train station, and 2 minutes' walking distance from the city centre. Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms are large and clean, but the doors and windows are thin and could be of better quality: one can hear noises in the hallway and from the street. Breakfast was good, and service fine, though not extraordinary. Pay attention about the bar: there is no price list in either of the two rooms we booked, and upon asking at the reception we were told that items are 3 euros each. Why not tell unwary guests about this? Other than the above, I recommend the hotel.

Lovely lobby and a quick check in made things great for us weary travelers. We drove from Valbonne France and arrived to find quite a nice room. As I booked through Booking.com was worried I would get a sub room It was quite nice ...and had a huge bathroom with balcony and view of the duomo, Another balcony off the bed area. Comfy bed with lots of pillows and pretty decent quiet air conditioning. Lots of storage and a mini bar and fridge. Vert lush towels and tons of bathroom goodies. The room also had an easy to use safe in the closet. Location was fantastic so if you are arriving by train...it's right across the street. A bit noisy during the day but the double doors make for a very quiet room. Close to everything, we walked everywhere and had no issues with safety. Rooms are serviced daily with fresh sheets and towels. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed two nights in C-hotels Ambasciatori, Florence. Our room was very very clean and nice. However breakfast had very limited choices. Location of the hotel is very good and close to many interesting attractions. Staff were ok.

Very accessible, straight across the road from the central train station (exit near platform 5). Checked in by Bernardo who was very courteous and helpful and highlighted on the map various areas to visit. We had two double rooms for a family of 4, these were very comfortable and the AC worked brilliantly. Housekeeping did a lovely job every day. There is a Carrefour supermarket just around the corner as well as the bus station which was very convenient. Room was very quiet despite being so central to the train station. Breakfast in the cellar, large and bright, no issues with seating, is the usual sort offered in European hotels, we availed of the vegetarian offerings and no complaint regarding these. Staff were smiling, approachable and professional, one waitress had to make a cappuccino 5 times for an awkward customer, this situation was handled well. Overall we had a brilliant stay here with no issues. Of course no place is absolutely perfect, the glass door of the bath did leak a little but not enough to cause any distress and possibly more attention could be paid to the details eg the general decoration in places and skirting of the doors etc, replacing the milk on the drinks tray daily, sorting out the carpet on the main corridors etc. which would enhance ones overall experience. We had a great stay and would stay again.

This review for this hotel is not the review I was supposed to write. We were supposed to check in to the sister hotel –‘Diplomat’ 2mins down the road. This is a much more smaller boutique hotel and what I would have preferred. However due to issues around overbooking and broken AC’s we were asked to shift to the Ambasciatori. This hotel is much larger in comparison in terms of number of rooms and the service altogether less personal. We had various issues during our stay: (1) In the first instance the room was too dark, and there was obvious lack of mirrors and plug points around the room. (2) The bathroom was large, but again distinctive lack of ability to house your toiletries and bits as there was zero shelf space. (3)There was also the issue of a leaky bath, which made is impossible not to cause a small flood when showering. We had to circumvent the issue by placing several towels around the bath before showering. Housekeeping must have noticed when cleaning the room, but did nothing to fix the issue during out 4 night stay, despite us even calling and personally raising the issue. (4) Housekeeping was mediocre. Room was never really left clean. (5) In addition housekeeping decided to open a wedding gift that we had left on the bedside table to take away later that evening. The had poked a hole through the box and it was evident they had tried to examine the contents of the gift inside. We noticed immediately on our return, and were annoyed as it had ruined the initial presentation of the gift. When we tried to raise it with the main reception staff later that day, they were not helpful in the slightest. A gentleman who’s name escapes me now, told me that cleaning staff had left for the day and we would be in touch next day to explain. However no follow up was recorded or offered and we were left aggrieved. (6) The breakfast is served in dark dingy basement and is very basic and leaves a lot to be desired. Apart from the location (literally opposite the station) this hotel does not really have much going for it at all. The level of care and service expected for a 4* is neither promised or delivered from the outset. The staff at reception are not very courteous or polite. On check out they seem not to care to check if your stay was pleasant, and checking you in or out seems more of a hassle to them, something they want to get over with quickly- barely making eye contact or addressing concerns. Not the sort of behavior or level of service expected of individuals who work in the hospitality sector. If you are just looking for somewhere to bed down for the night while exploring and are none to concerned about the service, this hotel may be for you…however I am sure you could find the same for much lower cost elsewhere. I definitely will not be returning.

Location across from train station is great and it was not too noisy. Double rooms are extremely small but maybe typical of European hotels. Lighting poor around tiny work desk area. "American breakfast" features cold scrambled eggs and cold pancakes (every day) with flies buzzing around, generally did not look too clean. Bakery products at breakfast and coffee were very good and there was ample taste. 5 euro upcharge for hot eggs (omelette).
