The hotel was close to the train station so it was easy to travel from as our home base. The hotel was clean and front desk service was good. I cant say that i would go back since there was nothing exceptional about this hotel. The pics that are advertised show a ultra modern and sleek hotel. Thats not true. The pics are misleading and most of them show the same floor and upgraded rooms. Its a basic hotel that does not come with basic prices. The balcony opens up to the noisy and dirty train station. The breakfast is ok but nothing special. It would be nice if they can make you an omelette and not charge you extra. My room came with a kitchenette that we warned would cost us 20 extra euros per day. The main lobby was small and needed updating. There are so many other hotel options that are close to the train station but not across the street.
Fantastic location just 1 minute walk from the station, exit the station to the right (not the main centre doorway) and the hotel is just over the road. Doesn't look great from outside but inside is fantastic, modern and immaculate. Given a welcome drink for bar which was very much needed, bar does really cheap drinks. Our room was beautiful, really clean and great bathroom, really good air con. Lovely staff and great breakfast choice. About 10mins walk to all main attractions, passing loads of fantastic shops along the way. Florence jam packed with tourists, like ants!!! Be warned long queues to get in everywhere book tickets in advance. We paid e4 extra to get into fast line at Uffizi gallery (e24) and it was worth it, do not miss this attraction as amazing artwork. The Duomo was full for 2 days, no tkts available but the ticket office guide told us to go to a side door and attend mass, which we did, so we managed to get in straight away without paying or queuing which was wonderful otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see it, we gave money to the collection box passed round. The guard at side door doesn't really like letting tourists and tried to dissuade a few of us but if you say your attending mass he can't refuse you.
I stayed at this hotel a year ago. The service and the room this time were as good as the first visit. Check-in was quick and easy. This hotel is a bit of a maze with very small elevators. But the rooms are well appointed with excellent bathrooms. The rooms a comfortable and clean. In some cases the view is amazing. Many rooms have a balcony. If you traveling to Florence and need to be close to the train station you can’t get any closer then this hotel.
Upon arriving, our room was clean and orderly. However it had a strong smell of cigarettes and smoke. The staff offered to switch rooms, unfortunately, the only other room available was a downgrade. We opted to stay put, open up windows and doors...and eventually we either got used to it or the smoke smell aired out. We stayed for 4 days/3 nights. Junior suite room was quiet, comfortable and bed was very good to sleep on. The bathroom was large but taking a shower left the bathroom floors soaked, so be careful stepping on wet floors. Good coffee, breakfast buffet had nice variety and courteous staff.
We stayed here for 4 days in the beginning of April. Hotel was perfect location to Santa Maria Novella train station. Also we were able to walk all over Florence from there. Front desk staff super helpful! Hit us easter dinner reservations at an amazing restaurant after we had trouble making them. Bar served snacks in the afternoon and evening for free and the bartender was so friendly! Great visit!! Breakfast was very good as well. Although around the corner was an amazing pastry/ coffee shop we enjoyed more. Rooms very clean! Request a room with a patio!
Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are adequate. Firm king size bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet had nice variety of pastries. Delicious coffee. One issue: Hotel WiFi is terribly slow, intermittent service, totally unreliable. Frustrating when I needed service for business usage.
We stayed there for four nights. Room was a bit small but was comfortable and clean. Staff were very good, helpful and courteous , in particular Matteo, very impressed with his customer care skills. Breakfast was very good. The hotel did not serve lunch or dinner but allowed guest to order food from outside. If hotel had swimming pool and gym I would have rated it excellent but it did not so very good had to be the rating. The hotel benefits from introducing the hotel and its facilities a bit more and better to the arriving guests and with placing some information in the rooms.
We stayed there for 3 days. Nice room (but noisy due to the train station) but with view of Santa Maria dome. The staff were very polite and friendly. Room clean with fresh towels every day. Breakfast had almost everything and also fresh coffee if you asked the staff (besides the coffee maker). At the entrance to the old Town, close to everything. The area despite the train station is very safe and police was always present. The only “complain” I have is the 28€/day for parking but generally that’s the price in all Florence... Highly recommended, would stay again.
We stayed in this hotel in late March for a birthday treat for me. My daughter planned the trip and she chose this hotel for us because of its proximity to the train station, great for the journey to and from Pisa airport. It turned out to be a great choice for the main attractions of the city too, hence the great view of the Duomo from our room. Our room was very clean, comfortable and soundproofed from the busy station outside. Breakfast was very good, fresh, varied and replenished regularly. The decor around the hotel was comfortable and attractive. The staff were very good indeed, efficient and helpful. Loved the casual ‘uniforms’ they wore behind reception which highlighted the quirkiness of the hotel. I would return to this hotel no hesitation
Arrived a day early due to weather and there were no rooms available but Marco could not have been more accommodating. He called another hotel and made arrangements for us to stay there. The following day when we returned our room was not ready and Marco took our bags and couldn't do enough for us. He was truly amazing and is a real asset to the hotel team. The hotel is very lucky to have such a customer service orientated person on their staff. Thank you Marco for going above and beyond we truly appreciated it!
