Been here a few times and always found the staff with a smile and the aperitivo just delicious. So close to SMN that you can crawl there and yet quiet so you can chat with your friends. Split into 2 semi private rooms [one next to an internal water feature] and the main bar area + an outside seating are.

Recommended by a friend who travels on business to Florence a few times a year, this hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is very friendly and very helpful getting dinner reservations, arranging for cabs, restaurant suggestions and assisting in suggestions for the train. Our room was in like-new condition (as was the rest of the hotel). The morning breakfast is served on the top floor and provides a nice slice of a city view and Santa Maria Novella. Great way to start a day! Close to main attractions but just far enough away to be a bit less frantic than the center of downtown (only a few easy blocks away). On our trip we stayed in Rome, Florence and London and felt that we had everything we needed and at an excellent value.

We had an excellent stay in this hotel. It is within walking distance of both the station as well as the centre of Florence. The quality of the beds is very high, best hotel bed I have ever slept in. The shower is of similar quality. The breakfast is good as well, with a nice view of the adjacent square and church.

Very well positioned on the Piazza Santa Maria Noevella and close to all the attractions in Florence. The reception staff are very helpful and clearly want you to have great time in their city and take time to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms are stylish and the beds very comfortable. Plenty of hanging space and storage. The bathrooms are elegant and plenty of hot water from the shower.Temperature was good and the AC inobtrusive. The watch theme is intruiging and makes for a really interesting theme throughout the hotel. The bar is a good place to meet before going out and the friendly bartender mixes some good drinks. Breakfast is average for italy but there is a good variety on offer. The view from the breakfast room is over the piazza towards Santa Maria Novella and catches the morning sun beautifully. The only slight downsides to the place are that the breakfast room is too small for the hotel and gets very busy around 9am. The breakfast staff work hard but often you have to go to them to ask for coffee rather than them come to you. Overall this is a beautiful hotel which is immaculately clean with excellent staff and perfect for a trip to Florence.

I have stayed at another hotel on Piazza Santa Maria Novella for years but unfortunately they have decided they no longer want single travelers and have removed all their single rooms. This was my first time in this hotel and I will return. It's good value for money. The rooms are large for the price and come with a lot of added extras. A safe, bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and board, good WiFi and plenty of bathroom extras. There was a problem with the plumbing in my room and I was moved within an hour to a new room. Staff are friendly but not intrusive. And the hotel is very quiet despite its location and I slept very well. The only issue was the breakfast, which was a little bland but there was a good selection. It's within easy walking distance of everything. I will be back!

I was booked at this hotel whilst on business. It is a very chic hotel close to the bus/train station (walking distance) and 10min walk from Duomo. Spacious room- although breakfast is a bit basic for the room price.

The elegant location of this hotel is only surpassed by the extremely efficient, warm, and friendly staff, great breakfast, and large well-appointed rooms. Walk to all the museums, the Duomo, great restaurants, within minutes. The glorious bridges are closeby as well. But it is the staff that really knocks you out--a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The very best in service and a beautiful room, awesome sumptuous bathroom. The location is outstanding, and not in such a busy area but only 5 minutes from the Duomo. They gave me great restaurant recommendations and helped me book skip the line tickets. I would definitely stay there again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here in Santa Maria Novella. We will not hesitate to stay here again. It was a clean hotel, well maintained with all the luxuries one would expect. An amazing breakfast was included and there is a beautiful bar on the first level with happy hour.

Our stay at the Hotel L 'Orologio was exquisite in every way! So happy we had a four night stay to appreciate all the hotel comforts. It is situated on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella yet our room was quiet and relaxing. Luxury linens, huge luxury bathroom, bathrobes, slippers, and incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast buffet each morning included tons of choices to eat and drink (cappuccino, espresso, juices, water and Prosecco) and is served in a beautiful room with a view of Santa Maria Novella Church. We also enjoyed an aperitivo hour with snacks from the hotel bar with seating outdoors. The reception staff gladly made dinner and museum reservations for us. Relaxing in the hotel sauna after magnificent days of sightseeing helped make our stay perfect. Cicalone Osteria & Vinaino is casual, very good, and so close to the hotel.
