I took a chance on this hotel from online sites and it was wonderful. The manager was accommodating and the hotel offers 5 star comfort. The staff is always able and professional and accommodating which is rare. The service was excellent. Housekeeping was excellent. Rooms are well done and beautiful bath rooms in marble.I was given a fruit bowl to welcome and also other items in the room. Toiletries were average - this is the only average thing about the hotel. The breakfast buffet came with my room price and deal and was amazing - you get a nice view of Florence from above the top floor in a modern glass window room with a great Buffett of Italian breakfast meats/cheeses, yogurt, fresh juices, fruits, and pastries to die for. The fresh cappuccino was amazing. The service was again great! You will love the experience of this hotel. In my opinion it makes the Four Seasons seem Grade B.
Great hotel near train station. Great welcome with lots of information about the area. Welcoming bottle of wine and fruit - great added touch after a long day of travelling! Nice location on Square with great restaurants right outside door! Tasty tapas served wit drinks in bar!
This is a beautiful property in an excellent location in Florence. We easily walked from Santa Maria Novella train station to the hotel. The staff is very professional and made dinner reservations for us that evening. We ate at one of the restaurants they recommend and were not disappointed. The rooms and bathrooms are large. The beds are very comfortable. The Wifi was very good and the A/C worked perfectly. It is an easy walk to the Duomo, Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. The hotel has a very nice bar and we enjoyed an after dinner drink there. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Loved the clock/watch theme! Lovely decor and furnishings.
Sure, the hotel has a nice location but I think I can expect that with a €250 a night price tag. For the rest is very very average. Nothing special. Breakfast was same as a €100 hotel and the staff was just standing there while we were out of coffee and bread. Really nothing special and definitely not worth the money. Sad.
Stayed here 4 nights. Staff is very good. Location perfect. Close to train station and short walk to Duomo and St Lorenzo. Room was good. Quiet. Bathroom good. Very comfortable. Big negative here is that the wifi is poor. If you depend on wifi don't stay here.
I would highly recommend Hotel L'Orologio for your stay in Florence. With only a short walk to the train station, the hotel is perfectly located close to the main attractions yet not swarming with people. The hotel has a beautiful breakfast room overlooking the piazza and a great sauna. The staff were very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations and directions. Highly recommend!
This hotel is sittuated in the middle of Florence so it is so easy to walk around the beautiful city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. They even helped me to book some tours. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the staff keep it very neat. The beakfast room is on the top floor of the hotel overlooking the city. We had a lovely stay here.
This hotel is really centrally located. Within 15 minutes you can walk to most attractions, and it's literally 5 minutes from the Florence train station. One thing that we really appreciated was how the hotel staff left us a "breakfast bag" full of bread, jams, cookies, crackers, juice and water because we had to leave before breakfast was served. This was a really nice touch and we truly enjoyed the goodies throughout the day. Hotel room is large and comfortable. Bed is so soft and cozy. We would stay here again.
The L'orologio is a beautiful hotel in a great location, with so many great dining options nearby and a beautiful Piazza. Located minutes from the train station for convenience and great location to walk around. Would choose this hotel again when we return to the area!
The L'orologio is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It is located right on a pretty piazza. The hotel itself is exquisite. The decor centers around clocks and cleverly carries the theme throughout the whole hotel from the lobby to the bar to the hallways to the rooms. The people who work here are just as nice as the hotel itself. The front desk is extremely helpful with finding things around the city and making reservations. The porter was fast and efficient in getting our bags to the room. The cleaning staff kept everything spotless. And the bartender was friendly and eager to explain different digestivi. The breakfast was way beyond your typical pastry and coffee. It included meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, spreads, cereals, pastries, cappuccino, espresso, juices and other items I am sure I am forgetting. The best part was the room air conditioner. It was in the mid to high 90s during our stay in August and the room actually stayed around 68 degrees for a comfortable sleep. Plus the beds and pillows were unbelievably comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. It truly is the perfect place to stay and has the perfect location in Florence with easy access to all sites.
