The hotek have a Good ambience, clean and tidy. Quite worth to bring children here. The breakfast is good, dinner even better👏🏻 They have such a small elevator making a new problem for those who bring bigger luggage 😁
I chose this hotel for my trip in Florence because of the previous positive reviews. And I have to admit that I was quite impressed by the quality of the service. Despite the retro style everything was functional and clean. The staff was very polite and available for any request.
The room was big and bathroom huge. Everything was clean. The outside sitting area was very nice during the late evening. The reason I gave this hotel 5 stars was because of the staff. Everyone was nice and ready to help. I don’t speak Italian but this was no problem. We were given excellent suggestions on sightseeing and places to eat. They really took great care of us.!!
This is a pleasant enough hotel in a quiet location, about a 20 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Its rooms are small, lighting a little dim but the beds are clean and very comfortable. Reception is good, there were pleasant staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is reasonable with a mixture of continental foods available. The staff are helpful and a nice touch was that on my birthday they gave a surprise plate with a candle at breakfast. It was much appreciated. On the down side, this hotel does not have a restaurant, despite there being sites that say it does! It only has a breakfast room. There is a limited menu room service. The main thing for me was there was no one at the bar at 4.00pm and I could not get a drink until it would be staffed at 6.00pm. The receptionist did offer to go and get something if it was something she could do. It was a little bizarre to have adverts around the hotel for special offer cocktails but not being able to get one! I have not been in a hotel that says it is 4* that does not have bar facilities in the afternoon! We upgraded to this hotel but felt that it was not 4* as suggested. I would probably do more research about location and facilities if I had my time again. A pleasant enough stay but not quite what I was expecting.
The NH Firenze Florence hotel was our first stop in our Italy/Greece summer vacation. The hotel was in a peculiar location with a neighborhood mix of what I think was apartment dwellings and other hotels. To our dismay the room lacked attractive views but was still in walking distant to the beautiful canal, the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and the historical district. This renaissance period hotel had remarkable ceiling heights that gave the room a very expansive feeling. The front desk staff was courteous and offered advice on restaurants, museums & provided detailed directions with maps to the Pharmacy, supermarket and train station . The breakfast was simple with a decent selection of cheeses, meats, fruits and was held in a charming little ornate dinning room...
Great location, wonderful breakfast and TERRIFIC customer service. We had some issues with our electrical converter for my husband's CPAP machine for sleep apnea. The front desk staffer, Nadine, tried to explain it to us but after checking to make sure the desk was covered, personally escorted us to our room to assist us. She checked with us later and during our stay, always remembered our room number and our name. The rest of the staff was so helpful as well. I was responsible for getting about 30 of us in taxis and they assisted and made it very smooth. The rooftop pool and bar also made for a great gathering spot with a fantastic view.
I had the most wonderful experience! The staff were so helpful and the service was 5 Star! Every morning my room was cleaned at the exact same time which was incredibly helpful so that I could plan my mornings. If I had any questions about the town the staff sat with me to explain directions and where to get the best authentic Italian cuisine.
Beautiful hotel in Art deco style. Huge rooms with huge, very comfortable beds and very good air conditioning. Breakfast was a very good selection but quite expensive at €16 per head. Bar food selection not very big. Reception staff great and very helpful, gave us a late checkout at 2.30pm with no extra charge and even allowed us to use the shower to freshen up before our flight at 4pm.
After a short walk from train station I arrived at the NH Hotel, first impressions of the lobby were good & staff were helpful, this hotel is located a little out of the main town. So if your are after something central I would stay else where. The room was very average. And not up to a 4 Star hotel standard. To begin with the air conditioning sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof. 🚁 The bathroom had one dull light and the shower had no shower screen so water basically ended up everywhere in the bathroom. 💦 Wifi was not existent in our rooms however did work in the lobby but was super slow.📵 The bed and mattress were actually very comfy, our room did have a little balcony which was nice but with no real view. If I was coming back to Florence I wouldn’t stay here again.
This property is completely run down. Definitely not a four star hotel. The classification is completely wrong. I don’t even consider it a 1 star. The rooms are all run down, very old, paint is coming off the walls, flooring is very worn out, furniture is old and needs to be replaced, facilities are very old. The air conditioner doesn’t cool the room. When we discussed it with the staff (Gabriella at the front desk) said that is was a culture thing. Believe me we were sweating and couldn’t sleep because the room was very hot. We were sweating for 2 nights until we were able to get a different room which was only a little better. The bathrooms were very hot and had no ventilation. The whole hotel experience was horrible. I would never recommend it. I can’t believe that we paid so much money thinking that we were staying in a class 4 hotel. Very disappointed with NH. We travel a lot and this has been the worst experience ever. They said the hotel is going to be remodeled in a couple of years but I think they need to remodel it before they have any more guests.
