Very good location as it’s about ten mins from station Room is very spacious and good value for money as hotels in Florence can be quite expensive Just that there is no free bottle of water in the room and I’m not used to drink tap water so it’s quite a hassle as I need to buy water outside One night the cleaner never clean our glass which is quite shocking coming from a 4 star hotel
Nice breakfast, good beds and friendly and helpful staff. Unlike other NH hotels we have stayed at that are very contemporary this hotel is more in style with the city. The hotel is at an easy 20-25 min walking distance of Piazza della Repubblica, a convenience store (carrefour) at 5 min distance.
Excellent and amazing experience. Very clean. Very helpful and Friendly staff. Breakfast amazing and waiters very pleasant. The duty desk manager Jessica very professional and helpful. Highly recommend it. I would definitely come back to Florence and NH Firenze Anglo American hotel.
Actually the tiny lift is a PITA when checking out as part of a group, there were 30 in our group, but otherwise a pleasant place to stay. Evening walks to view the Arno and Ponte Vecchio are ok, as long as you avoid the nearby American Consulate's heavy-handed security staff.
The reception was very good the Breakfast was very variety and amazing, baggages locker while continuos my visit was good, location a little far from the main train station and to the down town but no so bad, good value for the kind of hotel
Our first trip to Florence and a really lovely stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, gave us a friendly welcome. We really enjoyed the Procecco and nibbles that were delivered to our room on arrival, and we really appreciated the loan of the umberella from reception on the day that it rained. All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel
The hotel is quite nice, in a quiet area, around 10mins form the train station. The staff is really friendly and polite. In December in the hotel it was a bit cold, I think they have problems with heating. In the room the AC and minibar were making a horrible noise which affected our sleep.
I've been staying at the NH Anglo American in Florence since 2005. I go to Florence twice a year and never hesitate to choose this hotel. The value of this establishment, the decor, the customer service and friendliness of staff are just awesome. It is located close to the American Embassy, it's a couple of blocks from the Arno, near the Amerigo Vespucci bridge and also has the beautiful Parco delle Cascine close by. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Duomo and Uffizi in the centre of Florence from the hotel along the Arno or back streets. There are great restaurants nearby, super coffee places, and if you want to self-cater, then supermarkets are handy too. The rooms are spacious, old-school Tuscan decor, with huge beds and giant bathrooms. They're clean, well-serviced, and have plenty of power outlets. The breakfast is just amazing, probably one of the best kept secrets in Florence, and the bar is also well attended, spacious and pleasant to eat and drink in. I have also stayed here with my young son on occasion and he loves the place too - the staff attention, the food, and the big spacious room! The staff are attentive, welcoming, and always ready to go the extra kilometer in being helpful. I didnt use any parking there, but valet parking is available, and taxis to/from the airport are cheap - about 20-25 EUROs. In all, this is a great option for the budget conscious business, leisure or sporting (La Maratona Di Firenze or Arno Siluro fly fisherman visitor!) traveller who wants 4 four hotel that looks and acts like six stars in a quiet location away from the main tourist locations and crowds. I will be back soon!
Stayed here for a short 3 night break and would definitely return. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful district just one block from the River Arno with an easy gentle stroll into the centre of Florence and all the attractions. If you are interested in the opera then only 10 minute walk to Teatro del Maggio Musicale. The Superior room boasts a huge bed and was very stylish and comfortable with all you might need (apart from tea/coffee making facilities). All the staff are super friendly, attentive and very efficient. A wide ranging buffet breakfast with enough variety to suit most tastes.
Excellent Hotel and excellent shred of quality and price. If you want to stay in Florence, find this hotel: kindness, professionalism; a quiet setting, a great breakfast and a touch of refinemet. Furthermore, the hotel is centrally located, great for shifts in the center of Florence
