Staff very helpful, rooms very clean, breakfast was very good. Located very close to train station and to all attractions. Restaurants in the area were very good, staff had good knowledge of restaurants.
As usual, we were quite satisfied with our 4 day stay in NHhotels..The hotel's location was quiet and about a 20min. walk to center of town. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable w/ large TV. This hotel has no restauration otherthan breakfast, which has a good selection of items. However, local restaurants are within walking distance, which we found very accommodating and their food tasty at reasonable costs.
NH is a go to chain for us. This one did not disappoint. It is within walking distance of the train station (about 15 minutes max), which is useful as one taxi driver tried to charge us 40 euros and then extra for bags. Hotel is in a quiet very pleasant area and its about a 15 minute along the river to the city centre. We had two good sized rooms which were light and airy and very fancy bathrooms. Breakfast was a good and plentiful buffet with hot choices, the coffee though was very weak and disappointing. Would definitely stay here again.
The location of this hotel is about a 10minute walk from the centre of Florence. The best part about this hotel is the staff. They could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem and the same held true for everyone we encounteted. The hotel lobby and building itself was old worldly and beautiful and our room was also oldwordly and beautiful but in need of a face lift. The breakfast buffet was efficient and very good. If the rooms were renovated I would highly recommend. Xx
My first impression was the hotel looked very old from outside. However, once you get in the lobby, you'll be amazed by the beautiful architecture of the hotel. Our room was vey comfortable, big and clean. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence!
Of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our recent trip to Barcelona and Italy, this hotel had a look and feel of an upscale North American hotel. The room was a good size for Italy and the bathroom worked well. The shower was very small with the shower positioned on the narrow side of the space. It was difficult to turn around. The air conditioning worked reasonably well and the room had a safe and bar fridge. The bed was comfortable and the lighting was satisfactory. There were enough electrical plugs which is often not the case in European hotel rooms. Their breakfast room was quite large and had a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. Breakfast was included. This was by far the best breakfast we had in any of the 6 hotels we stayed in during our trip. They had a bar and piano in the lobby area. The drinks in the bar were very expensive compared to North America. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient and provided directions etc. Contrary to other reviews I did not find this hotel conveniently located to the major sights in Florence. A 15-20 minute walk to get to the first major sight in my mind is not convenient. A 5-minute walk is convenient. There were not many restaurants nearby, but it was close to the river that runs through the city. Nice for an evening stroll. The shower and location of this hotel were my only major complaints.
My stay at the NH Firenze Anglo American in Florence was enjoyable, I had a beautiful old room dating back to the 17th century, very spacious, great service and pleasant staff. There was a group of people making a lot of noise in the courtyard, my balcony overlooked this courtyard and when I phoned reception they were aware of the noise and told the group to disperse as it was rather late at night. Recommend this hotel to anyone, close to all shops, laundry, pharmacy etc. Pillows and mattress were the BEST!!!!!
I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday - I was a little concerned when reading some of the reviews and seeing the pictures of shabby rooms. I need not have worried. This is a great little hotel in a quiet area where the staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was a pretty comprehensive range of continental and some hot breakfast. The bedroom had the largest bed and the highest ceilings I've ever seen in a hotel! We stayed in a standard room and it was good - freshly painted with views out onto the street. Because it was so quiet in the area around, we had no problems sleeping. The only slight issue we had was that there is no light over the bath/shower so it was pretty dim when showering. The walk to the Ponte Vecchio is probably about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace and is straight down the river. If you want to do one of the open top bus tours, there are stops within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. All in all a great location. We would have no problem in staying here again
The hotel is located conveniently within walking distance of Ponte Vecchio, Duomo and many of the tourist attraction in the city. Its about 20min walk. The room was decent size, its clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was functional and they provided clean towels...they did a very good job of cleaning the room and providing new toiletries every day. Breakfast was included and it was decent...eggs, fruits, cereals, pastries, juice, coffee and tea. But service was not good at the restaurant. Front desk pesonnel and porters were very helpful and pleasant. The building is beautiful particularly in the front desk area with the high glass ceiling and porch but some areas need to be painted and updated in the stairways, hallways and exterior. Its a shame...the building has the potential to be a five star hotel. Overall it was a good value for the money spent and location was good. I would recommend it to travelers with moderate budget.
I didn't enjoy our trip in NH FIRENZE Anglo American looks not bad from out said but small room light is not good enough Size of washroom we didn't like it in the world 2 thing you have to care when you visit other country eating and toilet should be perfect....
