In honestly what made this a great stay was the staff. The front desk, I think he was the manager I can’t remember his name but I think it started with a “v”. He was really cool. We were talking about sports and politics. He was very engaged with my options and seemed like he genuinely wanted to have a conversation with me instead of just selling me on a room. Once I got to the room, I was surprised. The manager said he gave me a newer remodeled room and to let him know how I liked it. The room smelled fresh and the room was nicely designed and the bed was nice. I have stayed at other budget motels before but this place was actually nice and friendly. I don’t know when my travels will bring me back here but if it does I will for sure stay here again.

As with my visit five months ago, plane noise in evening can be an issue if you want to go to sleep prior to 11:00 pm. Not the hotel’s fault, but does need to be considered when choosing a stopping point. Had a TV issue that was quickly fixed by front desk and maintenance team. Overall, comfortable stay.

Ridgeway Inn is one of the best hotels in imperial valley .all their staff members are amazing..breakfast is delicious and most importantly the rooms are so comfortable makes u feel like u still at room...i love it

I guess they are remodeling, that’s what the front desk told us when they gave me the room. So I got to stay in a remodeled room. It was nice, clean and had a fresh look to it. The outside seems to look out dated but the rooms are good. I’m assuming they will do the outside also. I would for sure stay here again when I come back to visit my familia.

Checked in at about 6:00 pm midweek. Very nice Front Desk person. Assigned the furthest room from the lobby, closest to the airport and the plane noise. Quiet after about 8;00 pm when the Osprey planes stopped their maneuvers. WiFi was good, was able to stream MLB.tv game while in room. Bathroom clean and fresh. Not so sure about the bed sheets - seemed to be a few hairs and dust when pulling them down to check. Not changed, or just a result of windy conditions. Overall, satisfied with my room and may stay here again if in the area.

Decent room in a quiet part of town. About 8 miles off the the interstate, but that is reflected in the price. We needed a place to crash for a few hours on our way from San Diego ate at night. Nice continental breakfast.

This place has really gone low class. It was once a great motor hotel, but now its sadly run down. Near the airport, many of my pilot friends have complained of the poor condition of the rooms, not very clean uncomfortable beds. The price is low but needs new management.

I don't know were to being, I guess under the front door as soon as me and my wife went in there , on the floor wear bugs from the gap of the bottom door coming in ,my wife put a towel under the door to keep them out, after the front desk clerk couldn't figure out our reservation he gave us a supposed to be a clean room which he run out to check to see if it was clean, he came back and he said we have a room . Let me tell you this is at 12:o'clock midnight at that point we were very tired from a six hour drive, we took the room o'man let me tell you, no toilet paper the toilet was filthy the counter top by the TV set was all smudged by what looks like somebody spilled some sweet drink or soda , the TV not working , coffee maker no coffee bags , carpet not cleaned it was terrible, so called front desk and told him no paper so he he just brought that without at room , but the beds were made and we were tired so we went to sleep ,the next day I called the front desk and ask them to please clean the room till we came back , well we came back the room was still the same , we were very upset so I went to the front desk and demanded anther room which I got, it was better then the last one I can't remember some of the other stuff that happened but never again " but thy have a good ice maker outside ". The reason for our trip is that our son was on two week training for the U.S. MARINES at EL Centro Naval Air Base. Me and the wife hope never to stay there again , if my son goes there again . I hope I made sense of it all " incredible" . Thy need a whole new staffing from desk clerks to house keeping to remodeling the place I'm serious. If thy would have gave me the second room first , I would not have gave this review . But now you know .

We have stayed in countless Choice Hotels without problems and this one wins for the absolute worst. We really should have complained when we noticed the bad smell. I will never not complain again. The smell was in the corner maybe under night stand. It was probably something dead. I kind of didn't want to know. There were countless other problems here. Staff were kind of scattered, didn't know if pool was open or heated. Didn't give us wifi code. Didn't tell us times for breakfast. Then there were two pending charges for our one night stay. When I called they said they needed to check out the room and that one of the pending charges would disappear. I had to laugh because the room was terrible. In all my stays with Choice I have never seen this before, the two pending charges. I was waiting for 1 pending charge to disappear and then the other to process which took 6 days. I was hesitant to write a review until then. The air-conditioning didn't work the fan blew hot air. The coffee maker switch was broken and when we stopped over for breakfast at 830 am there was basically no food left. Broken lamp and there were flies. The place seemed pretty empty and there were not many guests there. It was a terrible stay.

As an ex hotel employee I know there are many ways to proactively keep a hotel in running condition while making an effort to make any guest feel like their stay is at least adequate. That's not the case with this hotel. The room we were assigned had a shattered shower head, and flooded the entire bathroom during a ten minute shower. The tv, refrigerator, microwave, and main lamp were all plugged in to one powerbar that was turned off. We turned it on, and the bar was covered in burn marks from sparking. They attempted to move us to two other rooms, both which the ac blew hot air. The only praise I can really give this place is how nice the front desk staff was despite my frustration about being stuck in an outdated room simply for the A/C unit. For over a week.
